Using the Special Privilege: The Trap
The One Who Explores Truth
There are always multiple ways to solve a single problem. As the saying goes, the more urgent the situation, the more circuitous the path. For someone like you who has explored every available option, a special privilege usable inside the stage has been granted.
The effects of this privilege will vanish the moment the Class Annihilation Match concludes.
[S] Occupation Point Teleport
▶ Instantly teleport to any occupation point from 1 to 6, regardless of current location.
▶ Cooldown: 30 minutes
Even as the window hovered before his eyes, Yoo Heeyeon’s lackeys were already charging from behind. There was no time to waste. He scanned the text in a flash.
It wasn’t merely useful—it was a jackpot. The privilege didn’t boost his combat strength, and the teleport was restricted to points one through six, but the ability to reach any chosen occupation point on demand carried tremendous value. It offered an escape route when pursued, and with clever use, he could even snatch a base for free.
I need to be careful with this.
A thirty-minute cooldown was no small restriction, yet the ability itself was rock-solid. More importantly—
Yoo Heeyeon looked down at the seated Lee Hyunseung with open contempt.
He weighed his options inwardly. Should I use it now?
Using it immediately was perfectly viable. In fact, it was the logical move. Yet part of him hesitated at the thought of wasting such a valuable privilege so early. Yoo Heeyeon still had no idea he possessed it. If he vanished right in front of her, she would obviously realize its existence—even if she couldn’t immediately decipher its exact function.
But if he added a little misdirection first, he might still be able to conceal the privilege entirely.
With that in mind, Lee Hyunseung began steering the conversation.
“There are over forty people here with you. That means you only sent ten or twenty at most. Split across six points, that’s two or three people per location at best. Do you really think that’s enough to handle the F-class students?”
When Lee Hyunseung shouted as if furious, laughter exploded behind him.
“Pfft!”
“What the hell is he saying?”
“He’s talking nonsense.”
“Is he seriously asking if A-class can handle F-class?”
Watching his deadly serious expression, the A-class members muttered among themselves with clear disdain. It wasn’t an unexpected reaction. The gap between A and F was simply too vast.
Yoo Heeyeon shook her head.
She ground her teeth.
Mana swirled around her hand as she continued.
As she spoke, the faces of those behind her stiffened. It was only natural—no one enjoyed being treated like disposable tools. Yoo Heeyeon knew this perfectly well, yet she said it anyway. She wanted Lee Hyunseung to feel the unbridgeable gap in status. Unlike fragile friendships or shallow trust, relationships built on clear hierarchy never broke. My position will remain unshakable, and you will never reach it. That was the message she hammered home.
Outside the stage, Yoo Hanbeom watched the scene and let out a heavy sigh.
His daughter’s bloodshot eyes and ear-splitting screams, completely ignoring the audience watching and listening from outside the stage, the way she desperately tried to grind her opponent into the dirt—it all reminded him painfully of his own past.
“Where exactly did it all go wrong…”
It was heartbreaking. He understood her feelings because he had once been the same—obsessed with power and money, treating people as mere tools in his climb to the top.
Yet at the same time, it filled him with despair. That kind of method could never last. The proof stood before him: even someone as overwhelmingly powerful as Yoo Hanbeom, a man no one in the country dared touch, still worried about his future. Once he stepped down as guild leader, the hyenas would come for him. He would have to fear the very blades of those he had once called tools and treated so carelessly.
He didn’t know. Was it his own failure to pay attention? Or had the poisonous environment he created, the one she had grown up watching, been the true culprit?
One thing was certain—Yoo Heeyeon was broken. Just as he himself had once been.
Yoo Hanbeom wiped at the corner of his eye. His hand came away damp. Bae Kiyoung, noticing immediately, offered a handkerchief.
“I don’t need it.”
With a flicker of magic, he evaporated every trace of moisture from his eyes and fingers, then turned back to the screen.
What should I do with you, Heeyeon?
“Huu…”
Lee Hyunseung barely paid attention to Yoo Heeyeon’s tirade. Instead, he checked the types and quantities of cartridges left in his messenger bag.
Still plenty.
He had used fewer bullets than expected and held out far longer than anticipated. Eliminating one enemy was an additional bonus. Even so, roughly fifty-nine A-class members remained. That was no small number. The real problem would come after this.
He glanced at Yoo Heeyeon. She was still red-faced, veins bulging in her neck, pouring every ounce of pent-up resentment onto him as if trying to empty herself completely.
Eventually she realized he wasn’t truly listening. Her face twisted with rage as she condensed mana into a massive orb.
The orb shifted, sharpening into the form of a blade.
Lee Hyunseung swiftly drew a cartridge from his bag.
You have equipped the Healing Cartridge.
Yoo Heeyeon naturally assumed he had loaded the mana-detection evasion cartridge again.
Lee Hyunseung let both arms hang limply at his sides.
Yoo Heeyeon stared at him, utterly bewildered. “W-what are you doing?”
She glared at him, wary of hidden weapons or traps. No matter how carefully she searched, nothing seemed out of place.
Lee Hyunseung laughed loudly. “Why? Scared now that the stage is set? You won’t actually kill me anyway. If you want to trample me like you said, go ahead. I’ll stay right here.”
When she froze, his voice turned ice-cold.
Yoo Heeyeon’s teeth ground together audibly. She drove the spear-shaped mass of mana straight into his abdomen.
-Thud!
-Cough!
Blood sprayed from Lee Hyunseung’s mouth. In his mind, he counted.
Five seconds until fatal damage registers and elimination occurs.

Excruciating pain flooded his stomach. Blood poured endlessly from his lips. Speaking had become nearly impossible.
3
He could feel his mana draining away. So this was what it felt like to be ejected from the stage before full elimination.
2
His vision spun. Rational thought began to fracture. Even though the system likely dulled most of the pain, the agony still tore through every nerve.

Now…
With roughly one second remaining, Lee Hyunseung crouched low, concealing the gun muzzle against his own body, and shouted inwardly.
Special privilege—activate.
You have used Occupation Point Teleport.
Transporting to selected occupation point.
A fierce wind howled. Lee Hyunseung’s body vanished into thin air.
Yoo Heeyeon clicked her tongue in irritation.
She clenched her fist tightly.
With that, she strode slowly out of the cave.
