Chapter 6
Chapter 6
Is This Rare Skill Book Good…?
The 2nd floor was a slightly wider and brighter cave than the first.
In the distance, goblins swarmed in a dense cluster.
“Three…”
As expected—
three hobgoblins and dozens of regular goblins.
Without hesitation, I loaded the enhanced ammunition.
Click—click—click—
Three enhanced rounds slid into the cylinder.
The moment the loading sound echoed, the hobgoblins and goblins noticed me and charged.
They were still far.
Too many.
I calmly aimed at the three hobgoblins leading the charge.
Just like on the first floor—chainmail armor and machetes.
I targeted the one in the center and pulled the trigger.
Bang—
A sharp gunshot rang out.
At the same time—
flesh, blood, and bone fragments exploded outward.
“…That strong?”
The upper body of the hobgoblin had completely blown apart.
It was as if the bullet triggered an explosion.
Bone fragments scattered, torn flesh sprayed everywhere.
“K-keh?!”
“Kieeeek!”
The remaining goblins screamed in horror at the sight.
Blood splattered across their green skin.
I didn’t wait.
Bang. Bang.
The other two hobgoblins met the same fate—
their upper bodies obliterated instantly.
Only their lower halves remained before collapsing.
The goblins trembled and scattered in panic.
From there—
it was a massacre.
I fired standard rounds without restraint.
Six shots. Reload.
Six shots. Reload.
Repeat.
Before long—
the cave turned into a sea of blood.
[Floor 2 (Hell) cleared!]
[Calculating score and rank…]
When the last goblin fell, the message appeared.
I blew on the heated barrel.
[Score: 16,771]
[Rank: S++]
[New high score!]
[New highest rank!]
[Ranking updated!]
“Here we go again.”
Another record.
Even higher than before.
[Floor 2 Rankings]
1st: KimHunter – 16,771
2nd: Hero – 10,000
2nd: KillThePope – 10,000
2nd: EmpirePrettyBoy – 10,000
2nd: PeakMage – 10,000
…
Same pattern as Floor 1.
Top climbers all capped at 10,000.
But I noticed—
someone had 9,999.
“So the gap widens as you go higher…”
Even small differences start to matter.
Even heroes aren’t identical in skill.
Above Floor 50—
even they can’t maintain perfect scores.
Meaning—
it gets truly difficult.
[Floor 2 (Hell) rewards granted!]
[Rewards]
[Magic Stones 200g]
[Standard Revolver Ammunition x30]
Basic rewards appeared.
Double the stones from Floor 1.
So rewards scale per floor.
This was perfect.
Then—
[First to clear Floor 2 (Hell)!]
[Bonus applied!]
Again.
But this time—
something new.
[Rewards]
[Magic Stones 400g]
[Standard Revolver Ammunition x50]
[Skill Book (Common)]
“A skill book?”
Unexpected.
Skill books usually drop from bosses or special conditions.
Rare on lower floors.
Was I just lucky?
Then—
[High score bonus applied!]
[Highest rank bonus applied!]
Light burst again.
[Rewards]
[Magic Stones 2kg]
[Standard Revolver Ammunition x30]
[Enhanced Revolver Ammunition x3]
[Skill Book (Rare)]
“Rare?”
Upgraded.
I quickly checked the plaza.
Skill ranks go:
Common → Advanced → Rare → Heroic → Legendary
And I jumped straight to Rare.
Normally—
you don’t get Rare until around Floor 30 on Hard.
And I got it on Floor 2.
“…I should take a screenshot.”
I captured it immediately.
A moment like this—
can’t be missed.
“Should I post this?”
I hesitated.
A Rare skill book on Floor 2—
abnormal.
But—
my score was already abnormal.
Might as well go all in.
As long as my identity stays hidden—
it’s fine.
“Screw it.”
I posted.
[Title: Is this rare skill book good…?]
Author: KimHunter
Just got back from the tower, seems like people are talking about me
Haha… didn’t expect this much attention
Anyway, I got this from Floor 2… is it good?
(Photo of Rare Skill Book)
Still new to the tower, would appreciate advice
…
The reaction—
exploded.
????

You don’t know how to use a skill book?
Are you pretending?
Strong but dumb?
DesertPhilosopher) Rare skills are normally obtained after Floor 30 on Hard
Why is this post so annoying
Feels fake but also… not?
…
“Hahahahaha!”
I laughed loudly.
This—
was dopamine.
Unlike modern forums—
their reactions were pure.
Some even explained things sincerely.
“That makes it even funnier.”
But among the chaos—
something caught my eye.
The user “QueenOfSociety”—
arguing with someone.
A noble-only party organizer.
Clashing with anonymous users.
Class conflict—
even here.
“…Interesting.”
I leaned back.
Watching it unfold.
For now—
I would stay hidden.
And keep climbing.
