Welcome to Rania's Broadcast
“Come on in…”
I could feel the blatant, hungry stare from the customer who had just walked through the door. He made a show of browsing the shelves right in front of me, pretending to weigh his options. What brand of cigarettes should I get? He dragged the act out for several minutes, but his eyes never left my chest and face.
Does he really think no one notices?
Beep. Beep.
“That will be nine thousand six hundred won.”
One bag of snacks. A box of condoms. Two bottles of soju. Anyone could tell he was planning to have a wild night.
I muttered under my breath, “Go stare at that woman instead.”
Why the hell was he looking at my chest? Well… it wasn’t as if I couldn’t understand it at all.
Even as he walked out with his plastic bag, his gaze clung to my body. When I followed the direction of that stare, I saw the way my breasts strained against the convenience-store vest, the soft swell clearly visible beneath the fabric.
No matter how modestly I tried to dress, my figure was so perfectly proportioned it looked almost artificially sculpted. My breasts were an ideal size, perky and full, paired with the kind of slender waist and beautifully curved hips that belonged on someone who had trained for years.
The real problem was that I felt stares like this from almost everyone I met.
At first I had been flustered and ashamed, but three years had passed since my body changed. Those shameless looks now stirred up a strange, jaded mixture of emotions I couldn’t quite name.
After all, I wasn’t actually a woman. To be precise, I had been a man until I woke up in a woman’s body.
Mana Adaptability Differentiation. As the concentration of mana on Earth rose, people began mutating into the stuff of fantasy novels—pointed-eared elves, stout dwarves, and everything in between. Of course plenty of people remained unchanged, and I had believed I was one of them.
When I cupped the underside of my breast with my palm, the soft, elastic flesh molded itself into a perfect, inviting shape.
Aside from when I washed, I had never touched it on purpose. I had never even wanted to.
Why me? Why did my differentiation have to turn me into a woman?
Most people changed races or gained strange new abilities. At worst, nothing happened at all. A complete gender transformation was the first case ever recorded in South Korea—and it had happened to me.
“Sigh.”
Of course, the reason I no longer cared about those stares was probably because I had been a man. I didn’t register them the way real women did, and this body had never truly felt like mine anyway.
Even so.
I clenched my fist and tracked the next customer’s eyes to see exactly where they landed.
“It’s too obvious, damn it.”
No matter how I rationalized it, this went beyond uncomfortable. It was outright disgusting.
The new customer must have realized I was watching him, because he quickly dropped his gaze and began darting his eyes around in panic.
“I should just quit. Seriously.”
I considered it for a moment, but no. If I walked away from this part-time job, I would be out on the street tomorrow.
If someone asked why I didn’t find different work, I would usually dodge the question or make up an excuse.
Because…
“Hello. Welcome to Rania’s Broadcast!”
If anyone ever found out I was doing this kind of stream, they would never treat me like a normal person again.
