My Territory
'If we pass the financial regulators' review, we're basically done.'
The biggest hurdle in setting up a finance-related corporation is getting through that review. The regulations are insanely strict, and just the review process alone takes months. But now that it's cleared, we've got the base set up for full investment activities.
"So the Mu-yeol Finance headquarters is now..."
"The Songdo mansion, sir."
"Right. We'll move the address to the Namdong Industrial Complex, snag some benefits, and that wraps up phase one."
Once we grab tax exemptions and such, we can kick off real investments and balloon our assets properly. I've already got a few stocks in mind. The entertainment and real production markets tanked hard, but as soon as recovery signs show, I can dive right in.
"Let's head back."
We ended the tour. The cleanup wasn't fully done anyway—it'd wrap up soon enough. I worried Danto might feel nostalgic stepping back in her hometown after just three weeks away, but...
"Ugh...!"
She looked like she hated being here. She was clutching the sleeve of her assigned secretary, face twisted in disgust. Did something bad pop into her head?
Well, makes sense. Orphan who scraped by doing all kinds of rough shit... probably not fond memories. Might even make her wanna puke.
Or maybe PTSD or whatever. Anyway, if Danto doesn't care, no skin off my back.
On the way back, I called Congresswoman Kim Eun-ji. She took a bit—probably in a meeting.
Her usual spunky self.
"Finance license just came through. When can we get Namdong Industrial Complex support policies? Like zero taxes for corporations basing there."
Her voice trembled faintly over the line.
"The party was backing your standing committee, right? Thought it'd wrap quick."
"..."
Ah... the mayor... That fat toad bitch suddenly flashed in my mind. I'd tried to play nice, but the dumb cunt wouldn't know her place, so I beat her ass dead.
"There'll be an acting mayor till then, right?"
"Then just shove it into a special bill and propose that. Way stronger than district-level stuff. Not district support—city special law. Slip in corporate tax breaks and shit."
A bit of a hack, but with stuff like the constant special prosecutor law going through, this should fly. Momentum's on our side. And it's the Namdong Industrial Complex—who's gonna bitch about subsidies and tax aid there?
Nice. Exactly.
"Namdong Industrial Complex revival benefits every citizen—hammer that and push fast. Oh, send the draft bill. Wanna check contents."
Hung up and pictured the tour spots. The prime integrated HQ site—first to start cleanup. Tons of people, materials, heavy machinery clearing debris in real time.
Mountains of work piling up.
Roll secretaries on HQ ops plan, design to match, hire contractors, inspect sites... Even simple view, months of shit lined up.
Ah. Horny as fuck.
"Sua, gimme the development plan."
"One sec."
Sua pulled the binder from her bag. I'd checked it a few times already.
HQ site's fixed anyway— this is top priority no matter what. Can't start without it.
Strategy team's two Namdong plans both pin integrated HQ same spot. On purpose. Use change unknown, so anchor key zone, build around it. First shovel always there, whatever happens.
Take it slow. Real rollout needs 1-2 years minimum.
Shake off impatience. Namdong's different—no buying built spots like elsewhere. Gotta build from scratch. Plus, clear the wrecked buildings first. Time and cash sink, obviously. Rush it, fuck it up.
Yeah. Go Min-young waited 13 years for her island. Time to build patience.
No rush anyway. No one's chasing. Just old inertial anxiety. Worried straight-liners might envy, hate, block, or kill me. Pressure to stack wealth and force fast.
But learning more, odds of straight-liners turning hostile? Slim to none. Not zero, but no need to panic like hunted. Just build solid with what I got.
While I'm at it, send greetings.
Texts to straight-liners like Go Min-young, group chat Go Min-ji runs. Aunts warm as ever—used to feel like doting on nephew. Post-family truth? Feels off. Dick twitching weird.
Chat's just peers giggling like kids.
I'll eat 'em all. No more what-if anxiety.
Armored car back to recovery ops. Short ride, but filthier now. Blood splatter especially. Bumps mid-way... maybe...
"Urk..."
Danto dry-heaved at bloodstain, same thought.
"You lived here forever and puke at that?"
"Pardon? W-what do you mean? I don't remember living in a dump like this..."
"..."
What concept now? Overfed these three weeks?
"Ugh... This vulgar, backward shithole with no food doesn't suit me..."
"The fuck."
Got pissy. Slid behind, hugged waist, hoisted. Petite but heavy—squealed, kicked wild.
"Oone-two, bad kitty gets released~."
"?!?!"
Danto gawked, mouth agape, then flailed late.
"Wh-what!!"
"Where to dump ya."
"Eek?! N-nooo!!"
"Hey, hold still. Hold still, I said."
"Nooooo!!"
Just catplay, but not real cat—thrashing hits hard. Even trained me couldn't hold...
Dropped her. Thud.
"Guhk!"
"Shit."
Hard ass-plant, eyes welling. Grabbed cheeks, yanked.
Squuuueeeetch.
"Rice cake bitch."
"Waaahng..."
"Told ya hold still."
Mulled her teary cheeks three minutes. Danto sprawled, dazed.
"Lucky bitch."
Nudged with foot, beckoned secretary. She piggybacked Danto.
"Hnnng..."
"Why's she regressing more? Teach her school too?"
Spaced out.
