The King’s Men Guild Arrives
In the depths of Guld’s fortified lair, Fafnir had just finished dispatching the skeletal warriors. Now he turned to preparing another task.
The System flashed to life.
Elite Skeleton Soldier Summon
Grade: Normal
Type: Active
MP Cost: 100
Material: One bone for the host, one soul-bound bone, three dark mana stones, one flask of ectoplasm solution, one vial of pure animal blood, twenty black magic hubs.
Cooldown: 3 days
Effect: Creates elite skeleton soldiers bound to the player.
Skill Level: 5
Current summons: 5 (3/5)
Requirements: Level 20+, Necromancer class.
“As expected, it’s grown stronger.”
Each level-up made the skeletons tougher and the maximum number summonable rise. At level 1 he could only call three; now at level 3 he could handle five.
“I should summon the other elites while I’m at it.”
Fafnir activated the skill and fed it the fresh bones and materials.
– Skill activated.
– Darkness descends.
– A fragment of your soul carves itself into the skeletons.
– These soldiers now possess a will of their own and will obey you.
– Additional stats granted to the elite soldiers under the fortification correction.
“Perfect.”
Fafnir smiled and opened his status window.
🔥 Endurance: 135 🧠 Intelligence: 15 ⚔ Attack Power: 270 🔨 Luck: 10 🛡️ Defense: 270 💀 Loyalty: 100 (fixed)
The fourth soldier was an orc skeleton, crafted from the bones of the orc chieftain slain in the sewer skirmish.
Its body felt unusually dense. The orc bones clearly boosted its health and strength, though its agility lagged behind a normal skeleton’s.
“Same category as the second one, then.”
The second soldier, built from zombie troll bones, shared that same powerhouse trait. Pairing the two would create a steady damage cycle.
“With the regular skeletons holding the line, we’ll gain a proper playmaker.”
Fafnir nodded once.
“Everything I can do right now is finished.”
The fifth skeleton would be ready in three days, after the cooldown. Plenty of materials were already stockpiled.
“Speaking of which, I’m getting greedy for the lizardman skeleton. Should I try to grab one?”
An albino lizardman would make an incredible summon. But now was not the time.
“Focus.”
He stepped outside. The first, second, and third skeletons, Louis, and Bell stood waiting. They looked almost too composed after their earlier battle.
“How did it go? Are the talks over?”
“Dalgurak! Dalgurak!”
The skeletons snapped into perfect attention in unison. Louis hurried over and copied them.
“Current personnel: Knight Louis and four soldiers. All present!”
Louis’s report wobbled.
Thud!
The first skeleton kicked him in the shin. Louis straightened up, eyes darting to check the others’ stance. It was a bit off from what he had planned, but the system looked solid now.
“Hm.”
Fafnir nodded.
“Basic training is ready.”
But one small problem still lingered.
“Finding proper sparring partners is harder than I thought.”
A strong monster would require a strong opponent, and the ones he wanted would be too risky. Ordinary field monsters would only turn the fight into pointless civilian slaughter.
“King army or noble private troops? Neither option works. Getting caught means abandoning this area immediately.”
Fafnir clicked his tongue.
“A large guild would at least run mock battles… Wait. Guild?”
An idea sparked in his mind.
“There must be a guild that can fight without any loose ends!”
He began gathering his gear.
“Let’s head out. Training time starts now.”

There once existed a game called “The Age of Lan.”
It launched decades ago, raking in enormous profits in Korea. The rules were brutally simple: pay to win.
King’s Man Guild had started there and still dominated its territory with military-style hierarchy, tight internal loyalty, and cash-fueled bribes that filled the pockets of lower-tier players.
“Classic cash-and-friendship guild.”
They controlled fields and dungeons using larger guilds as a shield. To their own members it was a paradise; to outsiders it was pure nuisance. Killing them would benefit every player and NPC.
“And they’ll disappear naturally in the future, so no lingering worries.”
The squad was well-trained, financially secure, and free of external headaches. Even the top payers dropped generous experience on kills.

“The main hunting grounds of King’s Man Guild are Flamehearts Fortress, Troll Village, and the northern and western plains north of the fortress. The central dungeon you mentioned is right here.”
Fafnir stretched his limbs.
“Time to go.”
He headed straight for the most critical dungeon controlled by the guild.
