Side Story: Sati the Satyros
Satyros, so Sati.
It was a name that felt a bit much, but it couldn't be helped. Even this name was something I'd made up myself.
Satyros were a race with incredibly strong libidos. On top of that, they loved booze and gambling—a debauched, lewd species without equal.
How debauched and lewd were they? The kind who'd go right back out to fuck after popping out a kid.
Born and immediately abandoned by their mother.
I was your run-of-the-mill orphan like that.
If there was any luck to it, it was that in a world full of such species, orphanages were everywhere. And whether it was some last shred of conscience or just dumb luck, I'd been born near one.
Another stroke of luck? That I was a satyros.
The dimension I originally lived in was home to all sorts of races besides satyros.
In that world, satyros were basically nobility. And since we were so lewd yet rarely had kids, even an orphan like me had no real trouble scraping by.
Orphan or not, I was still satyros nobility—way better off than the grubby kids of other races, even if we were all orphans.
I couldn't live lavishly, but starving to death? Never a worry.
That all changed when the world I knew suddenly turned into a completely different one.
The first year was pure chaos, naturally.
Even as an orphan, satyros were nobility in my old world. And since our kind cranked out orphans left and right, being one wasn't weird—it was normal.
But in this new merged world, I was just another everyday citizen, satyros race or not.
Still, no big deal.
I had savings from my old life. Not a ton since I was satyros, but enough to coast for a year easy.
Then the World Government formed, the chaos started settling, and...
My money ran dry.
Inevitable, really.
Money vanishes when you spend it, especially when you didn't have mountains of it. And my spending hadn't spiked or anything.
The world had gone to shit, so I'd blown through it thinking, Fuck it, might as well enjoy it all before we die.
But the world didn't end.
Still, no sweat, I figured.
Satyros ruled as nobility back home because we had the skills for it.
Top-tier magic, stunning looks, and stamina that put everyone else to shame.
In a world with humans treated like slaves, even dwarves and elves, satyros stood above because we were just that much better.
So when I finally had to get a job, no real worries.
Fuck it, I'll manage.
Plus, the World Government was hooking people up with jobs, so it'd be quick.
First gig they lined up: a magic tower researching materials from the merged worlds.
The wrinkly old dwarf mage took one look and shut me down.
"...No satyros."
Heard some bitch from our race had fucked a researcher mid-experiment not long ago, blew the place up. I left in a daze.
What the hell?
That hag screwing a dying mage to death—how's that my problem?
I'm not her.
More stunned by the reason than the rejection, but plenty of jobs left.
Everywhere else was the same.
The next place.
And the one after.
Even the last-ditch bakery hawker gig, swallowing my pride.
"...Can't trust satyros."
Turned down flat.
Shuffling down the street, I spotted a TV.
Something from a human-prospering dimension I'd never seen in my old world—this "machine device" called TV.
That was the first time I regretted being born a satyros.
Things didn't change after.
Our kind kept causing shit everywhere, dominating the news daily.
The more they did, the worse the reputation of satyros as a race got.
Yet these brainless fucks—whose heads seemed filled with nothing but sex—kept stirring up trouble like back home, orphan factories or not.
In the end, satyros' rep went straight to hell.
Finally...
"Sorry, but we have no more jobs to recommend..."
In this vast world of merged dimensions, no jobs left for me.
"Ha."
Staring at the pittance I'd gotten for job hunting expenses, I let out a hollow laugh. Now even that was useless—job hunting blocked entirely.
Blow through it, and I'd be flat broke.
"Ha, haha."
I'm not like that.
I'm not.
Why?
The words circled my mouth but never came out.
"Hic...!"
A passerby spotted me, freaked, backed away, and bolted.
Even though I hadn't done shit.
Just because I was satyros.
That alone made me no different from those crazies in their eyes.
I starved for four days.
Couldn't touch my last cash.
Just pure hunger.
Clutching my gut.
First time feeling it, and fuck, starving sucks.
But with nothing left but that measly sum I couldn't bear to spend, what could I do?
"Ahaha..."
Pathetic sight.
Back home, treated like nobility.
Orphan, sure, but noble.
This world? Everyone equal.
Noble before? Royalty? Who gives a shit.
All equal.
"What equality...?"
Shiny words, empty promise.
Hugging my knees, I stared blankly at the sky.
Sun setting, clouds thick—dark as my future.
If it's truly equal, I shouldn't get discriminated against just for being satyros.
I really didn't do anything...
Honestly, even back home.
I was pretty straight-laced compared to other satyros. Kinda funny saying it myself, but only three relationships ever.
For a satyros, that's basically virgin territory.
But so what?
Still satyros.
"...Hey, how was that guy last time?"
"Dick was kinda small, but he lasted long..."
Two werebeasts walking by, chatting.
"Dispenser? Funniest job name ever."
"Still, it's great. Heat cycles were hell... Can't just grab anyone anymore like old times..."
Dispenser?
What's that?
I tailed them, eavesdropping. Learned about dispensers by chance.
Guys selling their bodies to non-humans.
I laughed.
Everyone's non-human to someone else, yet based on humans, the most numerous. Hilarious.
In my world, humans were slaves.
Here, they set the standard.
"......"
Growl. Stomach rumbling.
Day five.
Even for satyros, pushing limits.
Stumbling along.
If what those two said was right, Interspecies Support Center nearby.
"Support" in the name—maybe free food? Walked forever, spotted a guy.
"Ugh... Gonna die... But made some cash today..."
Pale-faced human shuffling along.
Bracelet on his wrist.
The one dispensers wear.
He's one. Ask him where.
"Um..."
"Yeah?"
Catch up, speak—he turns, sees me. Then,
"Gah...!"
Screams and runs.
I did nothing.
Like I'd spotted a monster.
Snap. Something broke.
"Why...?"
Watching him flee.
What did I even do—
Sweet grape scent on my breath.
Back home, my favorite fruit. Satyros racial trait: body odor that arouses, useless and annoying.
But not now.
The running guy halted. Turned back.
Bloodshot eyes, drool, bulge in pants.
Obviously in heat.
From my scent. My fault.
"...Oppa, wanna have some fun with me?"
I became just like any other satyros.
Accepted the man charging with ragged breaths.
He came inside over and over.
Stomach full.
Not just food—satyros get energy from essence too. That's why we're so lewd?
This power makes us do it?
Didn't know.
Didn't matter. I was full.
"Urk..."
He passed out. I got up, semen dripping from my pussy.
Looked up at the sky.
Pitch black.
Just like my future.
