Grotesque Relief, Biological Terror, and Desperate Dependence
The hellish time of swelling and acceptance was finally coming to an end. The massive knot at the base that had completely sealed Eunha’s narrow entrance began to slowly pulse less violently as the beast’s long, multiple ejaculatory throbs subsided, gradually reducing its murderous volume. As the round mass of flesh that had been tearing at her pelvic floor muscles from all directions collapsed, her forcibly stretched sphincter and vestibular muscles twitched violently before losing their tension and going slack.
Shhhrrrk. Scrrraaape. The moment the beast’s lower abdomen pulled back, the blunt os penis that had reached all the way to the depths of Eunha’s cervix scraped down the swollen folds of her inner walls and slowly withdrew. The horrifying friction of the bony shaft rubbing against her flesh made Eunha gasp and twist her waist in agony.
Splat. Sluuuuurp. The instant the enormous member fully pulled free, the plug that had been blocking her entrance vanished. The beast’s genetic material, which had heavily filled her lower belly, poured out uncontrollably. Hundreds of milliliters of scorching, viscous semen—well over 40 degrees Celsius—cascaded down the insides of her thighs and the cleft of her ass like a waterfall, thoroughly soaking the thick cardboard boxes laid out on the floor.
Taeo’s thick saliva, the clear love juices Eunha had secreted to survive, and the opaque semen the beast had spewed all mingled together, spreading a raw, heavy male scent into the cold air of the underground warehouse.
“Haa… haa… ahh…”
Eunha shuddered at the grotesque sense of loss, as if her insides had been hollowed out, and at the sticky foreign sensation now filling that emptiness. Every muscle in her body had gone limp; she didn’t even have the strength to twitch a single finger. The enormous beast, sniffing in satisfaction somewhere in the darkness, moved away. Taeo gave her cheek one long, rough lick with his tongue, then heaved his heavy body upright.
The predator who had perfectly marked his female now turned to inspect the high-protein prey that must be piled somewhere in this vast grocery warehouse. Thud. Scrape. Thuuud. The sound of a 90-kilogram mass of black fur walking across the linoleum floor grew distant. Once even those footsteps faded among the towering metal shelves, only a perfect, skin-crawling silence remained in the underground warehouse.
Eunha braced her trembling arms against the floor and barely managed to lift her upper body. She tugged down the hem of the thick black fleece hoodie that had ridden up to her neck, covering her lower half that had been exposed to the cold air. The fabric stuck unpleasantly to the viscous fluids coating her thighs, but shame was a luxury she could no longer afford.
In a space where light was completely blocked, darkness was familiar to a blind woman like her. Yet the empty, bone-chilling quiet held within this enormous artificial structure carried an alien dread that pierced straight to her marrow. Eunha leaned her back against the wall, drew her knees tightly to her chest, and hugged them.
Though she had avoided rupture, her chemically forced-relaxed joints and muscles screamed as they tried to return to their proper places, throbbing painfully. Suppressing her ragged breathing, Eunha extended the nerves of her hearing and smell—honed dozens of times sharper than an ordinary person’s—through the underground warehouse and all the way up to the mart’s ground level.
Not a single sound reached her.
Eunha’s brow furrowed slightly. In this post-apocalyptic world, after all of humanity had floated into the air only to plummet and burst upon the ground, the ones who had come to rule this nightmare were the massively mutated insects. The outside world should have been a cacophony that allowed not even a second of silence. The sound of mantises the size of an adult’s forearm spreading their wings, the scraping of asphalt beneath hordes of cockroaches large enough to swallow a person whole, the sizzling of acidic secretions melting concrete—all of it should have filled the air.
Yet within several hundred meters of this enormous superstore, not even the faint vibration of insect wings or the click of carapaces could be heard. Only the cold wind whistling down through the ventilation shafts and the crude sounds of Taeo tearing open metal cans and licking their contents from somewhere far away seemed to make up the entirety of this world.
This is wrong… It’s far too quiet.
Eunha swallowed dryly in the darkness. The nauseating stench that had assaulted her nose the moment they entered the mart came back to her— the acidic bodily fluids of exploded giant insects mixed with the rotting odor of decaying meat. At the time, she had assumed it was the aftermath of Taeo ruthlessly tearing apart and trampling every bug that had approached the area. She had believed the surroundings were temporarily pacified because he had physically slaughtered every enemy in sight and piled their corpses into a mountain.
But Eunha’s brain, sharpened by years of pharmaceutical studies and deep knowledge of biology and organic chemistry, began to form a cold, dry deduction.
No matter how strong Taeo is, even if he killed every insect around here… is that really all there is to it?
Insect ecology was fundamentally different from that of mammals. Bugs did not fear the death of their own kind. On the contrary, the bodily fluids spilled by their bursting kin, the stench of decay, and the sharp smell of blood acted as powerful beacons that drew even more predators and scavenger insects. At a slaughter site reeking of blood, every mutated insect within several kilometers should have swarmed in a frenzy to form a massive horde in search of food. That was the biological truth.
Yet this place was deathly silent. Not even a single ant—the lowest rung of the food chain—dared extend its antennae into the mart’s territory.
Eunha’s slender shoulders trembled. Her hypersensitive sense of smell relentlessly analyzed the single scent heavily permeating the empty warehouse air. It was not the smell of dry grain or dust. It was the thick, overpowering male musk radiating from the beast who had just crushed and violated her body—and now seeped from deep inside her own.
This isn’t just the scent of a beast. This… is a warning.
Eunha’s cloudy silver pupils dilated wide toward empty space. Taeo, mutated into a colossal, deformed wolf. His sweat, saliva, urine, and the semen he had pumped into her belly must surely contain unknown chemical compounds. An overwhelming pheromone of terror that directly assaulted the nervous systems of all other mutated creatures and completely crushed their predatory instincts. A supreme biochemical weapon that scrambled the chemical arrays detected by insect antennae, imprinting a genetic-level horror that any creature entering this marked territory would have its bones and flesh torn to shreds.
Eunha realized that the beast she leaned against, the one who split her open and filled her, was no mere wolf that had simply grown larger through mutation. He might be the flawless “apex” that ruled over this grotesque, nightmarish apocalypse—subjugating even the mutated laws of nature in a world where humans had gone extinct and insects reigned.
A hollow, skin-crawling sigh escaped between Eunha’s lips. The bizarre paradox that the very being she had been crying and trembling in terror before was, in fact, the safest and most absolute fortress in this ruined world.
Taeo… just how strong are you?
As a blind woman who could not see, Eunha had no way to visually confirm the beast’s true combat power or size beyond feeling his massive furry form with her hands. Yet the overwhelming density of muscle that had crushed her entire body, the grip of his forepaws that could tear concrete like paper, and this horrific pheromone scent that had turned the entire enormous structure into his chemical territory proved everything.
Eunha wrapped her arms around her lower belly, feeling the beast’s hot semen weighing heavily inside her. The moments of mating that had nearly driven her mad with shame and humiliation had, horrifically, been the process of donning the “most perfect shield.” As long as the beast’s fluids remained within her body and carried his scent, no giant insect would dare approach to tear at her fragile flesh.
But the rational mind of a pharmacology student poured cold water on that skin-crawling relief, reminding her of a terrifying truth. There is no eternal apex in nature. The mutated insects, whose ecosystem had collapsed and undergone explosive evolution driven by something unknown, did not rely on individual strength. Their most fearsome weapon was their colossal colonial nature and reproductive power—the endless proliferation, environmental adaptation, and genetic improvement of the swarm.
For now they were suppressed by Taeo’s apex pheromones and killing intent and could not approach, but this deathly peace was a time bomb that could explode at any moment. As time passed, the giant insects of the outside world would inevitably covet this mart’s territory to expand their domain. It was only a matter of time before new mutant individuals resistant to Taeo’s pheromones were born, or a swarm of tens of thousands under the control of a queen powerful enough to overcome individual terror broke through this blood barrier.
At that thought, an icy terror slid down Eunha’s spine.
What if… what if Taeo gets hurt, or is overwhelmed and killed by those bugs?
That hypothesis meant an end more horrific than any hell for Eunha. A frail human woman who had completely lost her sight. If she were cast alone into this ocean of giant insects, unable to run or fight, her skin would melt alive from acidic secretions and her organs would be ripped out by sharp hooked claws. She would be torn apart and devoured in the most agonizing way her human nervous system could endure, all while listening to the horrifying scraping of carapaces from monsters with hundreds of compound eyes glinting.
“Ah… aah…”
Eunha clutched her arms tightly with both hands and shook with convulsions. The pain of simply being raped by the beast seemed almost merciful and kind compared to being preyed upon by the insects sharpening their wings outside. If Taeo had not been with her at the hospital, she would have been eaten as a single meal. She might have become a host for parasitic organisms or a brood mother forced to lay insect eggs.
She was a completely powerless being who could not survive even a single day—no, not even a single hour—in this world without Taeo. The irrational obsession with which this giant wolf burned with ferocious sexual desire and sought to “own” her was the only lifeline keeping Eunha alive.
What if Taeo lost interest in her and left for another hunting ground? Or if he was wounded and collapsed, no longer able to emit a predator’s pheromones?
Desperate despair and grotesque resignation intertwined in Eunha’s empty pupils. For her to survive, this beast had to reign forever as the apex predator. And she had to ensure he kept her by his side forever as his most cherished female and mating tool.
Even if she had to endure the physical horror of her insides being torn apart. Even if she had to accept the humiliation of taking his massive bony shaft and having her body stitched back together with his saliva thousands of times over. That was the only rational survival equation available to a blind pharmacy student in this horrific apocalypse.
Thud. Scraaape. Just as her thoughts reached that point, the heavy footsteps beyond the metal shelves of the underground warehouse began approaching once more. Eunha’s head snapped up. The enormous mass cutting through the darkness. The thick, hot, beastly scent slamming into her nose. And along with Taeo’s scent, something unfamiliar and fishy wafted against her face.
He must have hunted a massive chunk of beast meat from the mart’s frozen storage before it began to rot, or perhaps the still-living larva of a giant insect, and carried it back in his jaws.
Grrrrrr.Thump. Taeo dropped something heavy and wet at Eunha’s feet. Then he immediately pushed his huge snout into the front of her hoodie, deeply inhaling the scent between her legs that he had just filled. A low growl of satisfaction vibrated through the warehouse floor.
Eunha no longer tried to push him away or run. Instead, her thin, trembling hands reached out and wrapped around the thick fur of the beast’s neck as he breathed hot puffs against her.
“You’re back…? Taeo.”
The blind female’s voice had gone beyond resignation, soaked in a grotesquely desperate submission and dependence. It was the most miserable declaration of surrender—offering her body to the perfect fortress and monster she had chosen, all in order to survive.
