Private Beach (4)
“Haa... This is bad.”
Chien Bao, President of the Vietnam Hunter Association, let out a deep sigh as he recalled the current state of his country.
Korea, China, the United States — they’d hired high-ranking hunters from all those places to somehow handle the upper gates. But recently, the rate at which gates were appearing had skyrocketed, and so had the number of B-rank or higher gates.
A few B-rank gates could still be covered by Vietnam’s own hunters. But if the numbers climbed past a certain point, or if an A-rank gate appeared, it became an emergency.
Hiring foreign hunter guilds and bringing in mercenaries was one thing if it happened once or twice. But the hunters needed to clear an A-rank gate demanded tens of thousands of dollars per person. With over ten of them per gate, that meant hundreds of thousands of dollars vanishing in a single run.
And they take all the mana stones and byproducts that come out, too…!
Obviously, when foreign mercenaries cleared the high-rank gates, nothing was left for Vietnam. Yet among the country’s native hunters, A-ranks were extremely rare and there weren’t even that many B-ranks, so clearing them on their own was impossible. Leaving the gates alone would only lead to catastrophe, so they had no choice but to pay the price and bring in foreign help.
But even a nation’s budget had its limits. With the current surge in gate appearances, they were forced to call in an A-rank raid team every three to four days, and occasionally a B-rank party every other day. It was normal to burn through several million to over ten million dollars a month.
Tourism income had already plummeted because of all the gates, and now the foreign hunters were taking the mana stones and byproducts too, shrinking national revenue even further. Expenses were rising while income fell. The national budget was bleeding dry.
At this rate, the country’s going to collapse.
The situation had reached the point where Vietnam might default entirely and be absorbed as a territory by either the United States or China.
Actually… maybe that would be better. At least they’d protect us for free.
Chien Bao found himself seriously wondering if being under foreign rule might actually be preferable to paying through the nose for mercenaries.
“We need to figure out the cause before we can even think about fixing it.”
The sudden surge in gates. There had to be a reason. If they could just solve that one problem, everything might stabilize. He had no concrete evidence, but something in his gut told him that was the case.
“President!”
At that moment, someone burst through the door of his office. It was an association employee.
“What is it?”
Chien Bao answered with clear irritation on his face, already assuming another gate had opened. But the employee’s reply was completely unexpected.
“The, uh… Tamer Park Jihun has arrived from Korea.”
“...What?”
Park Jihun has arrived in Vietnam.
“Whoa, it’s seriously hot here even though it’s only April.”
“Right?!”
Park Jihun and Shin Jiyeon stepped off the plane and walked into the airport, greeted by Vietnam’s scorching air.
“At least the terminal has air conditioning. Long live the inventor of AC. Long live!”
“The person who invented air conditioning seriously deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.”
Even after they entered the airport, almost no one recognized them. That was intentional. To properly enjoy their vacation, they had asked the sponsoring company to ensure their identities remained completely hidden.
Of course, a few airport staff and Korean passengers on the flight had noticed them, but that was about it. No one in the Vietnamese airport came running at the sight of the couple wearing sunglasses.
Well… almost no one.
“Jihun-nim! Jiyeon-nim! Over here!”
A Korean woman holding up a tour company sign. She was the guide sent by the sponsor. Her role was simply to escort them to the resort. After that, she wouldn’t be needed until it was time to return.
“Please follow me to the car.”
Following her guidance, the two got into a vehicle and headed toward a resort located right on the beach.
It featured a private beach right in front, nestled inside a secluded cove, making it nearly impossible for anyone who wasn’t a guest to approach.
“Whoa~! There it is!”
“Yes, this is the Sunbed Resort. It has its own private beach and is quite well-known in the area.”
Renting out an entire resort like this. Both of their hearts were pounding with excitement.
When they arrived, the guide woman smoothly handled check-in in fluent Vietnamese. The resort staff were incredibly polite as they carried Jihun and Jiyeon’s luggage. Since the entire place had been reserved with no other guests, there was no wait at all. They were immediately guided to their room.
“I’ll take my leave here.”
The guide left, and under the resort staff’s guidance, Jihun and Jiyeon were led to the best suite in the entire resort.
“Wow~ It’s huge.”
The room was incredibly spacious. It wasn’t quite as big as Jihun’s house, but it looked close to forty pyeong. The interior was luxurious yet maintained a distinct Southeast Asian atmosphere with its lighting and decorations.
And most importantly—
“Whoa! The ocean!”
Through the terrace, they had a stunning view overlooking the private beach. Since it was only on the third floor, it felt like the sea was right in front of them.
There was no one else around. Of course not — Jihun’s group had rented the entire place. It was a true private beach. A shoreline just for the two of them.
“Holy shit… this is insane.”
Jihun stared at the scene with sparkling eyes, deeply moved.
So this is what the taste of money feels like…?
Of course, Jihun himself had barely spent any of his own money. Still, the thought that having lots of money let you do things like this made his heart race.
Man, becoming a hunter was the best decision ever.
He earned a ton of money, and he could fuck as many beautiful female monsters as he wanted.
…Well, that last part was pretty much exclusive to him.
Either way, these were days he couldn’t have even imagined in the past. Jihun’s heart fluttered with excitement at what kind of fun awaited him next.
“Let’s hit the beach first!”
Thanks to his subspace inventory, there was no need to unpack. Jihun immediately suggested they grab their swimsuits and head straight for the water.
“Sounds good! Let’s take out the familiars and get their swimsuits on… Haa… haa…”
Shin Jiyeon already had the face of someone who looked ready to pounce the moment the swimsuits came out. Naturally, Jihun wore the exact same expression.
“Hehehe, obviously we’re all changing into our swimsuits together right here, you know that, right?”
Jihun summoned all his familiars at once and spoke with a wicked grin.
“I love it. I love it so much.”
Shin Jiyeon matched his lewd expression perfectly as she nodded in agreement.
“......”
“Kar wants to wear a swimsuit!”
One by one, the familiars began stripping off their clothes.
Boing, boing~ Their breasts bounced as they removed their tops. They jiggled again when the bras came off. As pants slid down, firm, bouncy asses and plump, meaty pussies came into view. Finally, when the panties dropped and they stood completely naked—
“Hehe, Jihun. Your eyes look dangerous.”
Sira gave a sultry smile and shook her hips.
“Fuck, I can’t hold back anymore!”
“Kyaaah~?!”
“M-Master?! Ahnng~!”
In the end, they never even made it out to the private beach.
For the next several hours, they rolled around naked inside the room.
Alpha Male — Full power deployed
“Isn’t this a bit rude? They just came here to relax.”
“That’s why we’re only sending a message first. Honestly, wouldn’t it be great if we could get his help?”
Chien Bao currently stood in front of the main gate of the Sunbed Resort where Park Jihun’s group was staying.
The reason he had come was to meet the man who had entered the country yesterday and have a conversation. More precisely, he wanted to see if he could receive help regarding the gates.
The Tamer’s rank is B. His partner is A-rank, I heard. But his actual combat strength is practically on par with an A-rank raid team.
Considering the information on all the known familiars and the fact that Jihun’s own fighting ability was top-tier even among B-ranks while commanding all of them…
In reality, their power was comparable to an A-rank party. No, perhaps even greater.
He has nearly sixty B-rank succubi alone… That’s why people in the world call him the Female Specialist Hunter.
In short, if they could persuade him properly, it meant they could clear an A-rank gate by only paying the hiring fee for one A-rank and one B-rank hunter.
Of course, since he was a globally famous tamer, his fee would be higher than a normal B-rank. Even so—
It’s still way cheaper than hiring a full A-rank raid team.
Even if they budgeted for the equivalent of two or three A-rank hunters, it would still only cost about as much as one B-rank party. If they could get someone with A-rank raid-level power to move for that price, it was absolutely worth it in his eyes.
“Let’s just have a staff member deliver the message. It would be rude to suddenly show up during his vacation and start talking business.”
He was well aware it was already rude enough. How annoying would it be for people who were just trying to enjoy themselves to suddenly have work thrown in their faces?
So he decided to simply leave a message and wait for contact.
We have to reduce expenses as much as possible, even if it’s like this. That way our country can delay its collapse even a little and maybe find a chance to stand back up.
He had said it might be better to just become a territory, but honestly, who actually wanted to watch the country they lived in fall apart?
Especially not someone like Chien Bao, who sat in the high position of Hunter Association President.
“Please take care of this. Deliver my message and this note to him.”
“Yes, understood.”
Chien Bao handed the resort employee a modest amount of money along with a note containing his request.
If that note reached Park Jihun safely, and if by some miracle the man agreed to help, it would be wonderful.
He thought to himself—
Haa… It would be great if the Tamer could perform another miracle and save Vietnam this time too.
The taming skill that everyone had said was absolutely impossible. Growing from F-rank to B-rank in just two weeks. He had already caused two miracles.
Maybe this time as well…
Chien Bao quietly placed his hopes on him.
