My Treasure, Your Treasure (1)
A bus-sized larva. Round and flat on the outside, like an overturned shield. Countless protrusions—or tentacles?—rippled across its underbelly, scraping the ground like waves as it advanced. That monster was chasing people.
Four—no, five people fleeing in terror, but the larva was faster than expected, closing the gap bit by bit. They tried ducking into a narrow alley, only to recoil in horror and bolt back onto the main road. That means zombies were lurking there. A commercial building that had to be crawling with them—probably a ton. And now this freakshow too. What the hell kind of monster even is that? Would anyone know to tell me?
A slender tentacle rose long and thin from the larva monster's head. It compressed like a spring—thwack! It shot out.
"Gaaargh!"
Holy shit. One uncle got skewered right through. Blood sprayed into the air as his body floated up. The tentacle slammed him into the pavement. Thud. No more screams.
It slithered over the corpse. No corpse left—just slime trail on the street.
Whoa, fuck. At least 20 meters away, and its range is that long? A monster like that existed? Anyway... it's far. 100? Nah, 150 meters. Even Nephkent's speed couldn't catch it in one go. Plus that slime on the ground—slippery as hell. Can't even run properly.
...Ah. Right! That thing!
Mental power at 3—still full. Haven't used it! Been cleaning this route for days; it's mostly clear now, just a few zombies down. Perfect.
Alright, time to test it out for real. I pulled the bow from my back. Nocked an arrow from the quiver at my waist. Never shot a bow in my life. But that's me. This legendary hero, warrior Nephkent? Probably shot more arrows than bowls of rice I've eaten. Loading it was fluid as water.

The moment it activated, the arrow started glowing. I released the string. Pwing! A sharp whoosh. The arrow streaked like lightning. Straight line from here to there, defying gravity, piercing the larva clean through.
Then, glowing arrows burst from the larva's body. They curved in midair, stabbing back into it. More popped out—this time dozens. They kept emerging, piercing, multiplying.
"...What the fuck."
How does it even do that? The arrows were fast. Twisting midair to re-pierce—too quick, like glowing lines circling round. So many now, the larva looked wrapped in threads of light.
It writhed at first. Spewed tentacles in a frenzy. Powerful enough to skewer cars, punch through walls. But the arrows wouldn't stop. They pierced even the tentacles, invading deeper, spawning more. The thing got buried in light.
The moment I thought, it's engulfed in light—the arrows vanished. Gone in a flash, completely erased.
And there? Just the larva's corpse, insides out, a pulpy mess.
"...Whoa... fuck."
Didn't expect this. Thought it was just a ranged attack.
Acquired 200 coins.
Insane. That thing was worth 200 zombies. Honestly, I'd underrated it a bit. Like, an arrow? A ranged shot? One heal spell leaves me at 1 HP and clears 43 zombies. Why bother with a bow? That's what I thought.
Nope. This is insane archery. This warrior... no idea what Nephkent did in ancient times, but 1v1? Probably near unbeatable.
The fleeing people froze in shock. Too far for talk—hundreds of meters. Tiny specks staring this way. At me, or maybe the corpse.
I slowly raised the bow skyward, then slung it on my back. Grabbed my four bags again, rustling, and headed home.
Dumped the bags at home, and Ushabti toddled over, swiftly sorting everything. Probably won't last much longer anyway. But damn, it's useful. Lived without power—annoying, but doable. Couldn't cook shit, chomped raw rice to survive. Miserable. Convenience-wise? Ushabti beats electricity, honestly.
No power? It'll whip up a campfire or some shit. Pumped 10 coins in without hesitation. While here, topped off eggs and energy too. 40 coins daily upkeep is steep—40 zombies a day. But that larva monster? If I can farm 'em...
So I headed out again. Scout the shops. No more worrying about monsters eating me. I'm hunting them. Bigger, stronger ones! More of 'em!
Stopped home around 10 a.m.; Yeonsu and Hye-yun still out cold. Years of stress, starvation, survival mode—they hit a comfy bed and full belly, and bam, lights out. Let 'em sleep.
They ain't leaving anyway. Never. Worked to death by people out in zombie hell, then find cozy paradise? No one's ditching that.
Time's on my side. Time to hold those girls, savor 'em, love 'em up. Fuck, wanna knock 'em both up!
If not for the zombie apocalypse, bullshit like family background, what you got, degrees, salary for kids—endless crap would've crushed it. Fuck that, pass. But society's collapsed; mental barriers gone. Species survival instinct kicked in. Kinda beastly, yeah. I admit. But what? Zombie apocalypse. Sue me.
Plus, they're hot and cute. Fucked 'em—top satisfaction. Ngh. Thinking about it, dick's twitching again. Wrap this run quick. Don't dawdle.
Heading to the shopping district: women's lingerie brand store. Zombies packed inside—mostly chicks. Some dudes in staff uniforms, probably managers or owners. Female employee zombies too—beauties wasted on zombiehood.
Funny part? Young, hot customer zombies. One's got a silicone implant spilling from her tit. Thought, what the hell happened to that boob, down to her gut? Implant, fuck. Chuckled outside; zombies shuffled up—stabbed 'em through windows. Inside, more stabs. All crumbled to sand piles, happy as clams.
Now, grab lingerie. Problem: no clue on women's sizes. Panties? Stretchy, close enough. Bit tight? Whatever. Paper bags stuffed with panties. Bras? Sizes everywhere. Fuck it—swept 'em all. They'll wear what fits, toss the rest.
Then...
"Ooh."
...This panty...!
Corner with pink frills. Jackpot: string-tie panties on hips, split right down the middle! Ass crack exposed too. Oh shit! Must-have. Gotta make the girls wear these.
Treasures in a separate bag. ............Hmm. Anything else? No idea what girls need. Ain't one. Clean the street full, then bring Yeonsu and Hye-yun. Got 8 bags bulging with undies anyway. Drop at entrance for now.
Stepped out, scanned around. Larva monsters. Need more. That split panty? Girls' treasure. My treasure's those larvae.
Can't see shit here. Buildings block view.
This body's jacked. Climbable? Leapt, grabbed 2nd-floor ledge. Pulled up to rooftop. Whoa, works! Warrior perks. Hit 5th floor, leaned on railing—district in full view.
Mostly normal shops. Two standouts. Right, far: 6-7 stories, heavily fortified. Orcs slapping junk everywhere—crude, but solid defense. People patrolling roof?
Left, distant: weird lump. Tree height, black and bulbous—like a rotten egg. Building-sized freak.
...Gotta be a larva nest, right?
