Clown Mask – The Hottest Gallery Topic: Subspecies Boss Raids
The hottest potato in the Isekai Survival Gallery right now had to be the subspecies boss raids.
The reaction was so intense that over half the posts were about Giant Slime subspecies or the Red Giant Set, and that wasn't even enough—speculation about the next Giant boss, which might not even exist, was already rolling.
As certification posts for the Red Giant Set flooded the gallery, curiosity about whether more Giant series bosses would appear—beyond the original Giant Slime—only grew.
Even the lowest-tier Giant monster, the slime, dropped the absurd Red Giant Set. So what insane rewards would a Giant subspecies of higher-floor monsters like harpies or minotaurs offer?
That curiosity exploded post generation rates...
Unfortunately, the subspecies strategy contest awards ceremony got completely buried.
A quick skim of the winners...
One-liner: Why is this guy entering again? He even countered his previous ticketing guide—how the hell did he pull that off? No idea what this dude does, but tons of recs like last time forced us to award him. Probably rode the park ticket hype for votes. Next time, write about actually killing monsters pls...
One-liner: Hmm... Nodded along for the first time in ages. Title seems random, but content's surprisingly solid. Not real subspecies strategy tho, so silver it is.
One-liner: The ideal archer specimen. Kinda iffy calling this a strategy tho. We didn't run the contest for a genius's perfect score—we need methods any scrub can hit 70 on for grand prize.
One-liner: ...Title's pure bait, but fresh counter to Cockatrice subspecies. Best seen firsthand. Tho tbh curious if bald heads really reflect petrification gaze.
The subspecies contest judging went similarly to before, slashing entrants from 50 to 18.
Padak folks demanded it—too many winners meant filler word-vomit guides like last time.
Maybe thanks to that, or mid-layers+, strategy quality was way up.
Still, Giant subspecies rewards buried the whole thing...
Anyway, not just the gallery—the Magic Tower was obsessed, diving into research on this mystery enhancement jelly.
Unlike Golden Tickets, jelly rewards required raid contributions to earn, so research wasn't easy.
Red Giant Sets were soulbound gear—buying one wouldn't react properly for non-owners.
So the Tower was running its own raid groups now, or something?
Plus, StickyThingLover hit me up—guess the tentacle subspecies caught her eye.
Wouldn't recognize her anyway, so no shock...
StickyThingLover wasn't the only one messaging.
What the hell? First time in ages she messages first, and now this grass-munching act...?
Did I piss off Joodak somehow?
"No thanks... no plans to go up..."
Why keep pushing me outside? Used to protect me, now shoving me out the fence.
Anyway, the item from Joodak was...
"A mask?"
Full-face clown mask type...
Why a clown of all things?
"Oh... perfect for showing face if needed."
Something more on her mind?
"Wha..."
Joodak asking me for a favor?
Always the one helped—guess I've grown enough for her to ask?
Owe her indescribably much.
Without her settling help, easy dungeon-making impossible now.
Hell, naive me back then might've gotten kidnapped.
Her request? Whatever I can do.
Forcing subspecies... never tried, but growing dungeon control should handle it...
So I took Joodak's commission...
To spawn subspecies, had to enter the dungeon—temp joined the Tower raid.
Raid day.
Marching Slimes Raid Dungeon—hundreds gathered.
Tower raid, so mostly mages.
Firepower unmatched.
Warriors lacking tho...
No Gold-tier mid-layer explorers; mostly Silver/Bronze.
Meat shields to buy casting time—stamina tanks with shields, not combat power.
200 tanks, 300 mages.
One oddball mixed in...
"Hey... that guy's the one?"
"Tower Master's external consultant..."
"...Why the mask?"
"More like, why's his mana signature so faint? Detection spells miss him completely?"
"Duh... Tower Master's friend ain't normal. Gotta be a monster mage hiding his face."
Wearing Joodak's clown mask, arms crossed, standing apart.
Mages terraformed already—now surplus time before slimes.
15+ mins left; sudden joiner like me sparked curiosity, guesses flying.
'Tower's external consultant, huh.'
(Told Kkomangi to spawn subspecies in my dungeon ahead.)
Not sure if it'd work, but synced senses hinted it would.
'...Legs hurt. Sit?'
Instant dungeon tweak—spawned ornate chair.
Sat, crossed legs, chin on hand.
Thud-
Impossible before; magic training fused dungeon/magic powers.
'Complex builds collapse sans knowledge, tho.'
Simple chair? Easy.
'Not rare magic show, no issue.'
But Tower mages gawked in shock.
"Insane... instant complex structure?"
"Beyond magic... No chant/gestures—his imagery's eroding reality. Area's already otherworldly."
"...Seniors, why? We could all make chairs with time, right?"
"Kid, chantless instant non-core imagery means mastery beyond—countable elites only..."
"Ah... Flawless unrelated fields? Origin imagery's unimaginable."
'It was that impressive...?'
While internally surprised, a mage approached for greetings.
(Sensed her entry; played dumb.)
"Hello. Late intro—I'm Aisha Lailaris, raid leader today. Pleasure working with you."
"......Likewise."
Knew she was Tower, but here...? Won't get caught, right?
