Launching the Strategy Contest with a Tentacle Twist!
I'd told StickyThingLover, who still reeked faintly of stickiness, about my plan to hold the contest, and she graciously helped me prepare everything needed for it.
Sponsoring prizes...!!!
I was already worried that just listing dungeon tickets as prizes would feel too stingy, so this was perfect...!
Yeah, I knew it.
I'd kinda figured it'd be something like this.
A massager... sure, great...
Handing out massagers to explorers... I get it, top-tier prize.
But Sticky... if it's tentacle-shaped, isn't that a problem...?
Knowing her tastes, it probably comes with some sticky fluid dispenser feature.
I'm not sure anyone would feel great winning that as a prize...
For now, I'd have to gently steer her away without hurting her feelings...
10 million coins...?
That's what I'd make selling 100,000 slime jellies from my early days here.
...How loaded is she to casually drop 10 million coins without batting an eye...?
No real gain for her either, yet she offers it up like it's nothing.
Joodak bro... grumbles but preps everything, then dumps the work on me? Kinda hands-off. Sticky's been brainstorming and executing from start to finish.
Sniff... if only her tastes weren't so hopeless...
Eh, everyone has a flaw or two. Hers doesn't hurt anyone.
Well, except that time tentacles ambushed me at the restaurant, but she didn't mean it.
I had Sticky proofread the contest post roughly, then uploaded it to the gallery.
Hello, everyone!
Dungeon Master here.
Hope you're enjoying the newly updated dungeons.
Anyway, straight to why I'm holding a strategy contest.
First off, per your requests, I'm massively boosting variant spawn rates.
Variants have a special part called the inner core, making them super valuable.
But variants can be unpredictable wild cards, leading to irreversible accidents.
"Variants are weak, why the fuss?" you might think.
You all know the Red Comet slime variant, right? The one in Slime Hill Channel 17 with three inner cores survived a good while.
Yes, multi-core variants are rare but possible—and way stronger.
If a harpy variant had three cores, could same-level explorers handle it?
I doubt it.
But if you knew about harpy variants? Or their patterns and strategies?
Your response skyrockets, and regular variants become safer hunts.
Sharing know-how speeds up everyone's farming and stabilizes shelter resources.
Reduce variant risks, boost efficiency—that's the goal.
That's the why...
Now, the prizes you're dying to know:
Grand Prize (1st): 100 tickets of choice + 2M coins
Gold (Top 3): 50 tickets + 1M coins
Silver (Top 10): 30 tickets + 200K coins
Bronze (Top 30): 10 tickets + 100K coins
All I've got is tickets. Coins sponsored by one Padak.
Judging: Scores from three veteran explorer Padaks + post recommends/comments for bonuses.
Regular monster strategies qualify too, but variants get extra points—fits the theme. Note that.
Post in the new Strategy tab.
Variant rates rise tomorrow!!!
No clue how much—try it yourself.
That's it.
TL;DR: Sharing strategies to up our variant game. Join in!
↳ That's DunBung's charm. Dumb but sweet.
↳ DungeonMaster: Oh right.
↳ FFS DunBung!!!
↳ Oh right lmao rofl
↳ Total DunBing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
↳ What even is this guy...?
"Ah... something felt off. Forgot the deadline..."
Sticky must've missed it too...
I edited the post late to add it.
Contest runs 10 days from tomorrow's rate boost.
Time passed steadily.
"Kraaaagh!! You said it wouldn't hurt!!! It wouldn't hurt!!!!"
"Less than yesterday. Not 'no pain'?"
Daily, under the guise of prepping my body for magic, I endured Elise's torture.
"Aaaagh!!!!!!!! You psycho bitch!!!!!!!!! At least drop the smile!!!!!!!"
Elise was insane. At first I was wary, but she clearly enjoyed my suffering.
Every time I screamed from heart-stabbing agony, she'd smile in ecstasy.
Too late, I regretted it and said I'd supply tickets daily, no need for magic lessons—but nope.
"Don't wanna be a mage? Can't have that. I keep promises. And you're my disciple now—call me Master?"
Keeping promises...? When the victim says enough—what was she on about...?
To me, it was just a psycho bitch's excuse to keep torturing.
I had no power to stop her. But thrashing to escape pain? Fair game.
"Whoa? Move and it's worse? Stay still?"
I flailed; she annoyedly magicked me onto the bed.
"Guhk—"
"Good, lie still—I'll finish quick."
Elise formed hand seals; light rings bound my limbs to the bed.
"Crazy... this ain't it!!! Tying me up turns it into BDSM!!!"
"What bullshit is this now?"
She mounted my stomach; no more bucking or resisting.
Her hands hovered over my heart.
"...Bound now, so I can go harder...? You've gotten used to it by now..."
I saw her lips twitch, holding back a grin.
Psycho bitch...
"Noooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Boom—!!!
"Phew... Tie you up from now on? Progress is flying."
"……."
"You foaming mid-session scared me, but now I know your limit."
"……."
"Hey, if you're awake, answer. I'm heading out."
"...Fun?"
Two hours of newborn-wailing had shredded my voice.
"...?"
"Enjoy making people hurt...?"
I faced her, tear- and snot-smeared, utterly wrecked in just two hours. She looked a tad guilty, coughing awkwardly.
"Ahem... Maybe overdid it a bit, but we blasted through progress!! Almost done for real?"
"...Don't come tomorrow..."
She panicked, rambling.
"Why...? So close now? Skip a day and the meridians close right up!! Tomorrow I'll go real gentle!! C'mon? Finishing quick's best for you too? Skipping just drags it out. Sorry if too rough... so..."
I cut her off.
"...Appointment tomorrow afternoon..."
"Ah... gotcha. Morning then—prep."
"……."
"Kwaaaagh!!!"
"Hurts...? Tell me..."
"Huuuuurts!!!!!!"
"Knew it? Hang on a bit..."
As warned, morning mana torture.
"Tomorrow, usual time."
She left; I barely recovered, showered. Time to head out.
Today: house-hunting with Luna.
No stall for her. Plus, heat day—so off to church to "handle" it as promised.
Opened her dorm door; Luna glomped me waiting.
"Oppa!! Been waiting!!!"
"Whoa, Luna—good job holding out. Rough today too, huh."
After rubbing against me awhile, she looked up sharply. Weirdly piercing gaze.
"...Oppa, what's that smell...?"
"Huh? I stink!?"
No way!! Showered before coming!!
"Sniff sniff... whose bitch is this?"
"...?"
