Jeonbung-i's Melancholy Wail
A spider larger than a regular Giant Spider swung its scythe-like front leg.
That strike packed enough power to leave an ordinary person critically injured if it landed properly.
Normally, a mage standing right in front of that spider would be suicidal...
......
......
Shaaak— Squelch— Shaaak— Squelch—
The red jelly oozing from the mage's armor softly enveloped the spider's front leg, mitigating the damage.
And it wasn't just the mages. Though fewer in number, the archers were blocking the spiders' attacks the same way.
"Light as a feather. Is that all you've got?"
"...Yeah, I get the picture of your level now... So boring I wanna die."
The ranged dealers were holding the front line against the spiders' assaults.
They were tanking better than the shieldbearers, leaving the raid party members—and even the viewers watching the broadcast—in stunned disbelief.
"Wh-what the hell is this...?"
Of course, the chat wasn't the only one exploding—the Isekai Survival Gallery was in chaos too...
On top of that, they're covered head to toe in Red Giant gear—no blind spots. That's a full-on tank right there;
Now what do we do with the poor Jeonbung-is?
Can't DPS, and now tanking's stolen by full-set Red Giant mage bastards lolololololololol
Can use holy magic like priests and fight too—super Jeonbung-i. Honestly more priest-type. Paladins are elite, so churches don't support much.
1 Tier: Priest
Can't raid without 'em... Reason casualties are near zero. They're our one true god. If they get combat skills, they hit 0 Tier Paladin.
2 Tier: Mage
Core of boss strategies. Swords and arrows from Jeonbung-is/archers barely scratch giants. Mages take most boss DPS share. Weaknesses: long casts, trash physique.
Full Red Giant fixes that, bumps to 1 Tier. These fuckers are raid nobility—full sets incoming.
3 Tier: Archung-i, Martial Artist
Archung-is snipe distant named mobs. Can pull weight with precise crits on weak points.
Most can sword up and melee like Jeonbung-is in a pinch.
Martial artists were untouchable scum in raids. But later, their odd "Internal Weight Technique" hits hard shells effectively—tier up.
These idiots fight barehanded (not our world's style—spread by ancient Murim transferee).
Oh, top martial artists wear gauntlets, so barehand ones are just trash.
Physical explorers sometimes learn Murim martial arts.
4 Tier: Engineer
Iron/Bronze explorers. Good for odd jobs. Newbie cheer buff is nice.
5 Tier: Jeonbung-i
Inherited martial artist's untouchable scum spot.
Honestly skippable in raids. Just meat shields.
Sword, spear, hammer, axe, club, shield—useless in raids. No boss DPS, no specialization.
Once full Red Giants are common, they'll go extinct.
They block front mob rushes? Meh?
Better to recruit more archung-is/martial artists for utility.

The raid was still ongoing.
Thanks to the ranged dealers in full Red Giant Sets successfully blocking the boss's rear ambushes.
But... the shieldbearers in the rear had complicated looks despite that.
'Is Jeonbung-i really a total trash job...?'
Now even defense was stolen.
What was the point of warriors then?
Everyone said Jeonbung-is had high ceilings... but how many could actually reach that peak?
In the distance, Jeonbung-is striking the boss Jajus were visible.
The boss's floor webs had slowed their movement drastically, forcing them to desperately dodge its swinging legs while attacking.
A Jeonbung-i's aura-infused sword slash cut the boss's exoskeleton... but couldn't sever its thick legs.
Attack range too narrow.
Most were mid-layer Jeonbung-is. Gold rank explorers.
Slayers of cockatrices and minotaurs, yet failing to land real hits.
"Is the era of warriors over...?"
The shieldbearer felt conflicted even as the raid progressed smoothly.
*
A while later.
Thud—
The Giant Giant Spider's massive body finally collapsed.
Its legs, mangled for dozens of minutes, snapped under the weight, and its torso—blanketed in fireballs multiple times—reeked of cooked meat.
"Boss fully silenced confirmed!!! Great job everyone!!! Clear success!!!!"
"Waaaaaaah—!!!" "Finallyyyy!!! Baldness Cure Bath, I'm comingggg!!!!!"
Raid members collapsed, panting at the end-of-battle cry.
"Whew... Easier than expected."
"What bullshit? Rear would've been wiped, raid over before starting."
The Giant Giant Spider's main pattern: hurling minions at rear ranged dealers first.
Normally, rear lines shatter, flanks collapse, total wipe.
But full Red Giant ranged prevented that.
Veteran Padak shook his head watching.
"Tch... Should've failed like Giant Slime raid from rigid formation."
"Indeed. Wanted to see explorers' flexible tactics, but... still rigid brains. Gear too OP, hides weaknesses..."
"Heh... Gear's skill too. Can't argue results. Flow of the times, I suppose. Just worry they'll over-rely on gear."
Veterans grumbled, but Goseongji saw chat and figured no worries.
Everyone was debating the clear lively.
*
A bit later.
The Giant Mud Crab raid began—and it was sleep-inducingly dull.
Nearly 2 hours full-time, after all.
Thud—
It's oveeeeer— Spit— Pffffffft!!!! Worst boss ever!!!—
Goseongji, dozing mid-broadcast, jolted at distant cheers.
"...Wha-huh? Folks, it's over! Wake up!!"
Everyone's reaction was understandable.
The Giant Mud Crab summoned no minions and had no Giant-series special patterns.
Just insanely thick shell—explorers' attacks barely scratched.
Its colossal size plus god-tier defense meant nothing penetrated.
Even aura strikes just dented the shell...
Only mid-upper explorers like Lennon—who broke through at the hot springs—could pierce for damage.
Mages' fireballs ultimately felled it.
The top contributors lay scattered...
"Guhgle..." "Urk..."
Reason: Frontline failed to block boss advance, forcing mages to run around.

*
"Jeez... Pathetic. Mages need stamina too, and they collapse from that little running? Hey, our turn finally—ready?"
Elise glanced at me while watching the broadcast.
"Yeah—totally."
Soon... the Giant Rock Lizard raid would start.
Somehow, Elise and I miraculously beat the insane raid experience competition.
Probably 'cause mages had lower entry rivalry.
Raid demos barred high-ranks, and Elise's rank was low for her level, letting her apply.
I patted the rolling slime dog on the floor.
"Kkomangi bro, hold down the fort while hyung's out."
"Hek hek..."
Tear the ticket—light engulfs us, leaving only Kkomangi in the room.
Kkomangi hugged the shrunken dragon bone like a sleep pillow, licking madly.
Lick— Lick—
Not much of that massive dragon skeleton left.
