Nari Land: Boatyard Bloodbath
The Boatyard was one of Arangel's signature landmarks. Rusted steel frames, half-built ships, warehouses, and a few houses scattered around. Wide open spaces mixed with complex cover made for intense, detailed firefights—a total hot zone.
A fierce wind howled in my ears like it was ripping through my eardrums. My grip tightened naturally on the mouse. The four of us began our descent in sync, hitting the waypoints Teo had marked ahead of time. Our target: two warehouses lined up at the 9 o'clock position in the Boatyard.
"Two teams dropping on the 1 o'clock warehouse, two on the 3 o'clock houses, one's on the garage too. Looks like pairs warehouse below. Closest is the big window right above—three of 'em."
Lee Jua instantly clocked the enemies' drop paths, numbers, and likely loot spots, delivering a crisp, detailed briefing. Perfect—no notes.
"Got it. We'll drop low warehouse, push up to the big one above first. If no guns, grab a frying pan and haul ass up anyway."
Enemies dropped on the upper warehouse of the pair; Teo's team took the lower one. They could push up from the small one below, squeeze in from the right, or get sniped from afar. Enemies everywhere—above, below, right. Teo decided to punch up first. Clearing above would secure 11 o'clock as their zone. Classic play: collapse one angle, expand slowly. But lose tempo even for a second, and they'd get pinched from two or three sides, smashed, and sent to lobby.
So: no gun? Frying pan. No pan? Come fistfight.
Thud—thud—thud— Parachutes popped, boots hit dirt all around.
Teo and Jua snagged guns first. They'd spotted them mid-drop. No overthinking—just instinct picking the right one. Not waiting to touch down like noobs; cutting chute early to land right on the guns. Pure physicality. Of course they got there first.
Pickup and reload in one motion. Click— mag seats, holster, draw. Reload cancel like breathing, skipping the animation.
"Pushing first."
Teo's voice in comms. M416 in hand, already sprinting upper warehouse. Jua glued to his six.
"I'll cover left angle."
No hesitation in their movement. Crouch-strafe to cut turn delays, minimize exposure, straight dash. Hesitation equals death. Battlelands decided life or death in 0.1 seconds—or less.
> NS_Teo's M416 has knocked out Aldeoni.
Gunfire cracked first from Teo's side. He'd spotted a silhouette at the warehouse entrance and squeezed the trigger.
"One down, two more inside."
"Copy, flanking left to pinch."
Jua moved sharp on Teo's call, hugging the left wall. Footsteps? Who cares—sprint. If they look her way, Teo cleans. Ignore her? Teo pulls aggro, she flanks.
"Jua, popping a frag—time it and push."
"Roger."
Teo prepped a front-door nade; enemies focused him. Ratatat—! Muzzles flashed his way. BOOM—! Frag deafened them inside.
Now.
Jua whipped around the corner to the back door. Eyes scanned on arrival. Aimed first at the biggest threat eyeing her side. No thought—just instinct now.
> NogadaIssi's MP5K has knocked out JobberBug.
Last guy inside spun on the downed teammate's call, spraying wild. But Jua was already peekaboo-close, cover-hugging. Crouch-lean bang— stand-pop bang— right lean bang— pull back bang— toying with him, chipping shots. Wasting his ammo, eating zero damage. Pissed, he charged—
> NS_Teo's M416 has eliminated UgoChwi.
Last man down, kill feed lit up—downed reviveds dropped dead. Three-squad wiped in seconds. Straight to lobby.
"Whoa, Jua's peeks are insane. Nuts."
"Nah, nothing special."
Jonghyun and Yura's chars rolled up to the now-secured warehouse, somehow looking sheepish.
"Jonghyun, Yura—guns? Loot off bodies if not. Teo, we rotate up top for kill angles."
"Y-yeah, on it."
Jua's orders flowed seamless. Right-side drops were clashing nonstop; below had gone quiet. No point dipping low—could get zone-locked by campers (aka "sucked dry"), or stalemate into a pinch. Plan: swing wide right, cover-hugging, toward top.
She clocked the fights mid-clear? How's this 2-tier?
Jua's veteran reads and bold paths even impressed Teo.
"Jonghyun, Yura—farm quick and keep up."
Teo'd lost main call to Jua but rolled sub without complaint, backing her play. Team swung clockwise atop Boatyard terrain. Right-side gunfire grew closer.
> NS_Teo's M416 has knocked out MagicMirrorHoi.
> KingJongHyun's AKM has eliminated GoingMaryHoi.
"Snipers at Sniper Tower. 12 and 9 o'clock, two down each."
Lead scout Jua nailed the sitrep from fleeting kill feed.
"Slipping for kill angle."
"Copy—slow tempo a tick. I'll flank right ridge, pull aggro."
Jua read Teo's call like mind-meld. Normally 1-tiers micromanage angles/positions. Jua just did it unprompted. Teo only babysat 3-tier Jonghyun and 5-tier Yura.
"Jonghyun, quiet steps on me. Yura, back Jua."
"On you, bro."
"Got it! Jua's mine!"
Even that, Yura vectored to Jua. Smoothest game since Jua hit kill bets.
Jua baited on right ridge, popping shots. Yura trailed for flankers. Teo/Jonghyun slipped building rear, mopped up.
Per Jua's "keep pushing" clockwise swing. First circle barely half-done, they'd devoured 15 of Boatyard's 27 drops. Full zone control.
Teo 6, Jua 6, Jonghyun 2, Yura 1. Endgame numbers right off drop. Chat velocity spiked.
"Farm done? Roll out. Main road up top—pull Rancha and Ruins high-spawns en route. Gunfire? Check fights. Cars? Grab 'em."
*Rancha - Random spawn vehicles
*High-spawns - Fixed spawn vehicles
Teo nodded to Jua's call. Kill bets split aggressive tempo sweeps vs. safe chicken hunts. Jua was full agro.
Jua plotted path factoring plane line, circle center, nearby shots, hot drops. Following her waypoints, they snagged cars en route—one per player—cruising comfy when—
"Wha—Jua! Pirates on me!"
"...You reaching us?"
"Eek! Rear tire popped! Can't move!"
Rear-guard Yura pirate bait. UAZ and coupe materialized, hosing her. Two vehicles—one SAW-mounted. Pros: tire first, kill mobility. Yura's brain faintly wondered if resisting even mattered.
"Swing back—fight for Yura!"
Jua's urgent call—Teo, Jonghyun, Jua's rides roared into hard turn.
