I Became Justice's 'Super' Bunny Girl
I took pride in my job. Firefighter. It was about saving lives on the scene. Even though the pay was terrible and the work was grueling, I'd never once regretted my choice. Not even while stumbling through a collapsing hallway in a burning concrete building.
“Mister… cough. Cough. Are you okay?”
“I'm fine. Don't talk—just keep your mouth covered with the handkerchief. It's hot, right? Let's get out of here, quick.”
I didn't regret crawling into this hell of my own free will. Someone had to do it anyway. I was in excellent physical shape, and as a kid I'd even been rescued by another firefighter.
I'd known from the start that this scene was dangerous. There was no point in feeling wronged just because the end I'd always braced myself for had finally arrived today.
The only thing I wanted was to save the girl on my back, no matter what.
God, please. Just let us save one more person. Can't you make it work for this kid?
But I wasn't originally religious. I'd never set foot near a church or temple since I was little. Something about it had always felt off. Like the moment I started believing in God, my life would go completely off the rails. It was an intuition so strong I could call it certainty.
And my aversion turned out to be exactly right.
My first and last prayer had reached the wrong deity.
The Praising Goddess answers your prayer.
World Re-Creation! You have been granted the power to overcome this crisis.
In the end, I survived. Just like the fleeting message I'd glimpsed, I really had gained a special power. The raging flames no longer felt hot. Collapsed building debris? I just kicked it aside. My stamina, which had been reaching its limit, suddenly felt fresh and boundless, as if it had never been strained.
The moment we burst out of the building, the girl I'd been carrying shouted with excitement.
“Wow, you're the best, sis!”
“Sis?”
Congratulations! You have become Justice's 'Super' Bunny Girl!
What the hell. What is this?
