The Eternal Azure Heavens Shatter—Who Gave You the Nerve?
The Eternal Azure Heavens Shatter—Who Gave You the Nerve?
The sky over the Western Immortal Domain was collapsing, especially in the region near the Western Heavenly Gate.
Every cultivator and living being witnessed a terrifying great fissure spreading open across that expanse.
Then, a dreadful giant hand reached out from within it.
Vast, boundless energy surged forth, like a flood bursting through a broken dam—utterly unstoppable.
The surrounding star territories were exploding. Countless stars shattered into dust beneath the aftershocks.
The four Immortal Kings of the Other Domain, standing at the very edge of heaven and earth, all changed expression at once.
They had already been shaken—and angered—by the fact that their opponent showed no fear of the four of them, even taking the initiative to strike at them. They felt slighted.
As Immortal Kings, never before had anyone dared to look down on them like this—one lone man, charging straight at all four Kings.
This was mockery. This was contempt.
And so, fury had risen in the hearts of some among them, and they had intended to strike back and teach Gu Changge a lesson.
Yet the moment that thought had barely formed, the scene before them became like mountains and seas bursting their banks—an overwhelming, sky-blotting tide of terrifying energy came crashing down upon them.
This man’s strength surpassed imagination. He truly could not be underestimated.
“Beings who walk out of reincarnation are all extraordinary. In their own eras, they were the foremost prodigies, capable of suppressing all their peers.”
“We must not be careless. Be cautious.”
One Immortal King spoke, his expression somewhat grave. They were no fools.
Moments ago, they had still harbored some doubt toward the Profound Earth Immortal King’s words—but by now, they believed them without reservation.
Their opponent’s power far exceeded their expectations. An ordinary Immortal King likely could not withstand even this single strike.
Although the many cultivators and living beings only saw a palm descending slowly—as if worlds were born and perished along its edge, as if it held all under heaven in its grasp—
in the eyes of these Immortal Kings, that single palm contained boundless laws and order, the birth and destruction of worlds. It represented the supreme and paramount, capable of casually annihilating an entire Great Universe.
They struck out swiftly. One of them extended a giant hand of his own, seeking to shake apart Gu Changge’s palm.
Above the Western Heavenly Gate, the universe itself trembled.
Gu Changge stood before the Heavenly Ancient City, his expression calm and unrippled, merely extending a single hand.
Yet every living being and cultivator around him—including Jin Yuan—felt their souls shudder, their very skeletons on the verge of falling apart, unable to even stand steady.
All of them were struck with terror. None had imagined that this mysterious young man could contend against four Immortal Kings of the Other Domain—his dominance was simply absurd.
Jin Yun’s scalp went numb, his heart filled with lingering dread. Thank goodness his attitude had remained respectful all along, answering everything he knew without reserve.
He also recalled what Gu Changge had said earlier—that he regarded these Immortal Kings as nothing more than nourishment, as Source to be devoured.
This made Jin Yuan’s heart quake—horrified, yet also faintly thrilled and excited.
Could it be that today, he would witness with his own eyes an unprecedented, terrifying feat?
All the Other Domain beings who had previously revered and worshipped the four Kings with fanatical devotion were now gripped by fear and unease, their throats feeling strangled, unable to utter a word.
And this was merely a wisp of scattered fluctuation—they weren’t even at the center of the Immortal Kings’ clash.
That place had already descended into chaos, filled with all manner of strange rules, with even Great Dao storms manifesting.
Around that palm and fingers hovered countless planets, all dragged down from the outer realms by the giant hand—one after another, immensely grand, rumbling as they revolved, wreathed in Chaos Energy. A truly staggering sight.
One Immortal King of the Other Domain let out a low shout, his entire body blazing with light, shattering the surrounding clouds and revealing his true visage—his face a mottled blue-red, wreathed in fiery radiance.
On his back grew numerous wings, now coiled in Chaos Energy, ringing like immortal divine swords. With a chi sound they slashed out, each blade thicker than a star, moving to forcibly withstand Gu Changge’s palm.
That place became far too dazzling and resplendent. Divine light slashed out beam after beam, weaving together into an ocean of sword radiance.
At the same time, the Azure Heaven Immortal King also made his move. Behind him rose the towering phantom of a colossal beast, which opened its maw and roared—as if all the heavens were about to fall silent and perish.
The stars trembled and plummeted in unison, then streaked down like meteors, hurtling straight toward that giant hand.
This was the pinnacle of Immortal King-level assault. If an ordinary True Immortal so much as touched it, they would explode in an instant, becoming dust scattered across the sky.
An ordinary Great Universe could not even bear such fluctuations of aura—it would have collapsed at the very first moment, with no possibility of enduring it.
Only a universe of the Western Immortal Domain’s caliber could support a battle of Immortal King level—yet even so, its world barrier was groaning under the strain.
Even back when the Western Immortal Domain was conquered by the Other Domain’s army, it had not been this terrifying. If such an aura surged toward the surrounding universes, it would be a world-ending sight.
No living being could survive such a moment.
“These four Kings are indeed extraordinary. Worthy of beings who attained the Dao after the Forbidden Epoch—truly heaven-defying talent. In any past era, they would have made a great name for themselves...”
Though alarmed, the Big Red Bird was closely watching everything unfold. Observing the four Immortal Kings’ assault, it couldn’t help but murmur softly.
Though it no longer had its true body, its discerning eye remained.
But what shocked it most was still Gu Changge. He merely stood before the Heavenly Ancient City, extending a single hand—without even a deliberate attack—and already the four Kings were struggling to cope.
Just what level had Gu Changge’s strength reached now?
Back in the Beyond, he had refined the foundation figures of the myriad races across the heavens and domains into a great medicine, successfully stepping into the Celestial Realm.
But the Big Red Bird knew full well that Gu Changge had never undergone a true baptism of immortal Dao principles.
Yet the power he now displayed had already surpassed the level of ordinary Immortal Kings.
Or... had he already recovered to the degree of his former self—that of the Demon Lord?
At this thought, the Big Red Bird shuddered, finding it inconceivable, impossible to believe.
“These four Kings do have some skill. A pity I’ve only just stepped into the Celestial Domain and haven’t yet extracted true immortal Dao essence to temper my body. Though I’ve devoured and absorbed quite a few Source Dao Fruits and supplemented myself with some of the Celestial Domain’s rule factors...”
“...my Physique still has many flaws.”
Gu Changge shook his head lightly, somewhat regretful about the power of his palm strike.
He was indeed testing something—but not his opponents’ strength. He was testing himself, gauging what might a casual palm of his could now contain.
The result left him somewhat disappointed.
At the Western Heavenly Gate, the very fabric of energy had fallen into chaos. All manner of power erupted and spewed forth, then poured down like an inverted celestial river.
Chaos Energy churned violently all around. Some great stars could not withstand the fluctuations and burst apart one after another, emitting blinding light.
It was truly like the end of the world. From afar, one revolving great star after another split open—a genuinely dreadful sight.
Gu Changge struck again. This time it was no simple palm. Great Dao traces flowed between his fingers, as if entire universes were condensing there. Endless black energy transformed into prisons, sweeping toward the four Kings before the Western Heavenly Gate to suppress and slaughter them.
Prisons manifested between heaven and earth, one linked to another, Grand Dao Chains coiling around them—then they crashed down upon the four Kings, directly forming a sea of black energy.
“What kind of technique is this?!”
The Azure Heaven Immortal King’s expression changed. He felt his surroundings constrict around him; his once-extreme speed now seemed mired in a swamp, growing sluggish.
But he was no simple figure either. He spewed forth a vast white divine radiance from his mouth—sacred and brilliant, as if to purify all things.
The Profound Earth Immortal King’s heart grew heavy. He had not expected that even with all four of them joining forces, things would come to this. Thank goodness he had been decisive back then—otherwise, the consequences would have been unthinkable.
His weapon was a dazzling golden pagoda of seven stories, reflecting the sun, moon, and heavens, forming a vast golden royal ocean behind him, with Principles of Dao cascading down like waterfalls as he pressed the attack with force.
All manner of techniques clashed at that place. Heaven collapsed and earth split. From within the sea of black energy came a dreadful aura that blotted out the sky, pulverizing the firmament. That region became a hazy blur, chaos everywhere.
Another Immortal King, his face cold and indifferent, vanished from the Western Heavenly Gate, crossing several star territories to descend before the Heavenly Ancient City—intending to battle Gu Changge’s true body in close combat, unwilling to keep contesting techniques from afar.
His strength lay in his Physique. He was a primordial variant species from before the Immortal Ancient era, known as the Corrupted Hou.
His ancestors had once devoured True Dragons and shared deep ties with the Qilin.
By his generation, his bloodline had been tainted by a supreme yin aura from the Source Realm, corroded—becoming the Corrupted Hou.
This granted him an incomparably powerful Physique, immune to all pain, with inexhaustible strength.
Though his techniques were impressive, his greatest asset was his flesh. Back when they conquered the Western Immortal Domain, he had personally torn off the arm of the Glorious Heaven Immortal King—his power such that even the other Immortal Kings of the Other Domain feared him.
“Delivering yourself right to my doorstep...”
“What a grand gift. I hardly know what to do with it.”
Before the Heavenly Ancient City, Gu Changge watched the rapidly approaching figure, a smile at the corner of his mouth, as if somewhat surprised.
Jin Yuan and the others, meanwhile, were nearly crushed by the terrifying Immortal King pressure bearing down on them, their bodies on the verge of rupturing. Through it, they could see with their own eyes the true form of this Other Domain Immortal King.
His true body was only about the size of a calf, resembling a hou yet distinctly different—like a hound with draconic bestial features, its scales pitch black.
But in the next instant, he directly deployed his Dharma Body, standing upon the firmament as boundless blood-red mist billowed around him.
The sky could be seen darkening; numerous celestial bodies were pierced by the myriad lights of order there, swiftly shattering.
No one could see clearly, for the mist grew ever denser—even the Heaven Peering Eye likely could not penetrate it.
Though he seemed near, he was in truth still untold millions of miles away—he was simply so colossal that he could be gazed up at from afar.
“Devouring your flesh and blood may let me advance a step further, perhaps even touch that threshold in the future.”
“Tell me your origins.”
The Corrupted Hou spoke, his voice like a great bell, reverberating throughout this universe.
Countless Other Domain beings and descendants of the Western Immortal Domain heard the voice clearly—their ears nearly bursting, their souls pierced through.
He fixed his gaze on Gu Changge, able to sense what astonishing divinity and Source aura that body of his contained.
This stirred his heart. He felt this might become his great opportunity.
For his Physique was immensely powerful—even if besieged by several Immortal Kings, he could withdraw unscathed.
From their earlier exchange, he had also gauged that while Gu Changge was strong, he was not strong enough to contend against the might of his flesh.
“The Hou Immortal King is being too reckless! He must not be so careless!”
Before the Western Heavenly Gate, the Profound Earth Immortal King, the Azure Heaven Immortal King, and the others had not expected the Corrupted Hou to descend before the Heavenly Ancient City at this moment to engage Gu Changge directly.
Their hearts trembled slightly with unease, but they too rushed toward that place at once, tearing through star territories, descending swiftly.
For beings of the Immortal King level, such a distance could be crossed in the blink of an eye.
Still, excessive confidence easily invited disaster.
“Tell you my origins?”
“You’re not worthy of knowing.”
Gu Changge chuckled softly, his expression one of utter indifference, his tone simple and flat—as if stating an obvious fact.
The Corrupted Hou was not angered by these words. He merely spoke coldly, “In that case, today you shall die here, and your flesh shall become my meal.”
“Your flesh? My own Physique happens to have a few flaws.”
“Your arrival is rather timely, actually.”
Gu Changge shook his head. He had not expected this Corrupted Hou to be so confident—to actually think of devouring his flesh to advance further.
One who had cultivated to the Immortal King level could not possibly be a fool. It could only be said that the Corrupted Hou was far too confident in his own flesh.
“Enough talk.”
The Corrupted Hou’s pupils contracted slightly as he spoke coldly.
He did not understand why Gu Changge remained so composed at this moment. Since he had dared to descend here, he naturally had the confidence to do so—he feared no Physique at the Immortal King level.
The Corrupted Hou struck. His entire body moved, executing his innate divine ability to its utmost extreme. He opened his mouth in a single inhalation—and all light began to vanish.
A prehistoric aura rushed forth. He no longer seemed like a living creature, but rather like an ancient history brought vividly back to life.
Within his maw, the supreme techniques of all the heavens evolved and formed nameless seals, blasting toward Gu Changge with full force—plunging the entire star territory and universe before the Heavenly Ancient City into darkness.
It was as if all living beings and cultivators—whether of the Other Domain or the Immortal Domain—had been swallowed by him. The world sank into absolute blackness and deathly silence.
Jin Yuan was horrified. His whole body went cold as he watched that devouring mouth descend, swallowing every living being around them. Everyone was plunged into utter despair.
“Devour me?”
“Who gave you the nerve?”
Gu Changge’s expression remained utterly unmoved. He swept his hand down, chopping toward that gaping maw.
Boundless light exploded forth, thick black radiance flowing—and the Corrupted Hou let out a muffled grunt.
A single hand swept across the sky, and the eternal azure heavens split apart.
Everyone was dumbstruck by the sight, their very blood seeming to freeze—then boil. How magnificent, how unimaginable!
Gu Changge’s expression was cold to the extreme. One hand reached straight out, shattering everything before it, and with a pu sound, seized the Corrupted Hou’s true body.
Then all the visions before them dissolved and collapsed, the laws annihilated, and heaven and earth returned to clarity.
The Corrupted Hou’s eyes were filled with disbelief, a trace of fear showing through. He had been broken open—his true body caught in Gu Changge’s grasp. Never had he imagined that his strongest innate ability and his flesh would be so easily torn apart.
