The Path to the End, Fighting Their Way In—Reconnecting the Celestial Path in This Life
The Path to the End, Fighting Their Way In—Reconnecting the Celestial Path in This Life
Beyond the Celestial Gate, what exactly lay there?
Merely from the sliver of a crack that had been revealed, one could see that it was a vast and boundless world.
It was glowing, with Life-Extending Matter drifting out, capable of slowing their decay and aging.
It could even let them remold their soul light, making their spiritual power more vigorous than ever before.
The Lord of Gods’ Ruins had already died miserably beneath the Immortal Tribulation; his aura had vanished without a trace.
“The Opportunity to Become an Immortal of this universe belongs to us!”
All the Hidden Experts were shaken with excitement, charging toward that place. The anticipation and waiting of countless ages had all been for this final moment.
Every one of them wished they could blast open that gate and rush inside.
The One-Eye Daoist was even more fervent. His eyes burned with heat as he did not hesitate to use his most powerful Forbidden Weapon. Its surging force, like an immortal sword, blasted toward that place, throwing the entire universe into turmoil.
The Immortal Tribulation scattered and collapsed. This sea of lightning was dispersing, and the light that had shrouded everything was also fading. It was as if, after the Lord of Gods’ Ruins had been torn to pieces, the Immortal Tribulation belonging to him was also dissipating—it would not linger for long.
All the Hidden Experts watched as the Celestial Gate, with the lightning tribulation dispersing, abruptly grew blurry, as though it were about to drift away. This drove them into an even greater frenzy.
Their cultivation was still insufficient to trigger their own Immortal Tribulations here.
But the Celestial Gate was right before their eyes, the Celestial Path lay within it—how could they possibly give up?
Boom!!!
Endless attacks once again slaughtered their way forward, as if reenacting everything since the creation of the world. Their might was so tremendous it left one trembling—never in all of history, past or present, had there been such a terrifying event.
The Resplendence Universe was continuously collapsing. Star territories had long since crumbled, leaving devastation everywhere.
Aftershocks spread to every corner; even the Chaos Energy was blasted apart, drifting toward the eight directions of the shattered universe.
The vast, mighty armies outside the Resplendence Universe watched this shocking scene, their hearts filled with awe and trembling.
Even some Cultivators of lower cultivation felt as though they themselves were following those Hidden Experts in carving open the Celestial Path.
This was an unprecedented grand occasion—witnessing with their own eyes the revived Hidden Experts of this era becoming Immortals, watching them step into that legendary world.
Having waited through countless ages, they had finally seen this day. This life was without regret.
They felt honored by association, so moved that old tears streamed down their faces.
“Kill! Even if there is no path ahead, even if the Celestial Gate has not opened—so what? We shall carve out a path ourselves! No one can stop us from becoming Immortals!”
At this moment, the momentum of all the Hidden Experts soared to the heavens, practically suppressing all of eternity, shaking past and present.
Their gazes were like heavenly blades and immortal swords, ringing with metallic clangs as they slashed down toward the front.
That was an unprecedentedly terrifying will, converging at the forefront, moving every Cultivator who witnessed it.
It was enough to astonish the ages and shake the present world.
That blurry gate, however, was now growing faint and insubstantial, as if it would soon dissipate—it could not endure for long.
Yet within it, a radiance was drawing in all the Hidden Experts. An aura of eternal, indestructible life permeated the air, beckoning them to enter, making their pores relax and their divine souls gradually brighten, as though the whole world were about to ascend.
“The Celestial Gate is about to fade away! Today, we shall use our Source as the guide—in this life, we shall reconnect the Celestial Path!”
Someone roared loudly. Above his head, five Iridescent Dao Swords emerged, seemingly overflowing with Immortal Essence—an utterly astonishing sight.
Then, Hidden Experts began sacrificing their own Source. Their entire bodies turned crystalline and luminous, causing the height of their cultivation to continuously rise, even reaching an incomparably terrifying level.
Infinitely close to the so-called “Immortal.”
They were attempting to draw in that gate, to keep it from drifting away.
Everyone struck out. As the Celestial Gate solidified once more, all manner of killing techniques rained down, seeking to blast it open.
Until a terrifying great fissure appeared there. Through the gate, they saw the magnificent, ancient city walls within, the immortal soldiers and immortal generals—all condensed from rules, yet appearing utterly real.
They even saw there Immortal Phoenixes, White Tigers, True Dragons and the like soaring into the sky, ancient peaks and towering Mystic Mountains—the entire world was glowing. There even appeared the legendary Southern Heavenly Gate.
Rumble rumble!!!
In the end, the radiance was too dazzling, as if a sun had exploded there. The Celestial Gate was finally blasted open, and the magnificent city walls were revealed before the eyes of all the Hidden Experts, as endless dust and smoke surged forth.
However, not long after the Celestial Gate opened, it showed signs of closing again. Having come this far, none of the Hidden Experts could hold back any longer. They all rushed toward it, and along the way, they even began fighting amongst themselves over the order of entry.
Just moments ago, everyone’s goal had been to blast open the Celestial Gate. But now that the gate was open, the remaining Hidden Experts had become each other’s greatest enemies.
Rain of light danced and flew, filling the sky. That great fissure and the Immortal Path were covered in motes of light—brilliant and crystalline, yet also terrifying. A single such mote of light was enough to pierce through Sacred Emperor Realm experts and Quasi-Emperors alike, leaving them no path to survival.
Having fought their way to this point, it could be said that everyone’s eyes were red. They all wanted to keep closing in on that gate, to enter the Celestial Path and attain the rank of Immortal.
This was the greatest desire of countless ages—no one could stop it.
“The path lies ahead!”
One Hidden Expert, his entire body shrouded in five-colored radiance, charged to the very front of the Celestial Gate. Seeing the scene within, he could not help but roar.
However, when he rushed inside, he saw those things condensed from laws shattering—the city walls crumbled, and the Celestial Path was breaking apart.
“The Celestial Path has vanished... No, wait—there is another mystery within. The Celestial Path lies beyond a world!”
This Hidden Expert shouted, incomparably excited. His figure swiftly charged into the Celestial Gate, instantly vanishing inside.
Behind him, the many Hidden Experts also rushed over, their speeds too fast to follow. In the blink of an eye they arrived, fighting for every second, fearing they would fall behind.
Brilliant light flew up. At the end of that empty, boundless void, a light suddenly lit up.
The grand world that had vanished earlier now faintly reappeared. A power of longevity drew everyone in, yet it seemed separated from them by a Sea of Worlds.
“It truly is the aura of Immortals! We shall become Immortals in this life!”
The eyes of all the Hidden Experts who had entered the Celestial Path lit up at once, like brilliant flames illuminating the ages, as they hurriedly rushed toward that place.
“Damn it!”
“Just a little bit more, and we could have entered!”
Meanwhile, outside the Celestial Gate, those Hidden Experts who had failed to make it in could only watch with immense unwillingness, their eyes reddening. That Celestial Gate was slowly closing, seemingly about to shut them out forever.
The One-Eye Daoist of Sky Emperor Mountain was incomparably unwilling. His speed was already very fast, yet he still could not match the others.
Among them, some specialized in the Dao of speed, some had even touched upon time itself. The others were also extremely accomplished in this path, possessing the utmost speed in the world—he simply could not catch up.
“So what if the Celestial Gate has closed? Since it could be opened the first time just now, it can be opened a second time now!”
However, some Hidden Experts did not lose heart. They quickly recovered, their gazes like firelight shining upon that ancient gate, resolved to open the Celestial Gate once more.
The Hidden Experts who had rushed in just now numbered fewer than twenty, while more than a dozen remained outside. Hearing these words, they all regained their confidence and struck out once more, seeking to blast open the Celestial Gate and become the second batch to enter.
However, when this gate was blasted open again, the scene seen within was different.
There was blood light soaring to the heavens—some of the blood even flowed out through the crack of the gate.
A grief-stricken roar came from within. One of the figures was howling miserably, his voice shrill and exceedingly terrifying, shaking the entire Resplendence Universe and filling people with a sense of despair.
From outside the gate, they could see his aura dissipating. His entire body seemed to be dissolving into light, as though he could not withstand the aura of the Flying Immortals.
This shocking scene caused the expressions of these Hidden Experts to change. But with the Opportunity to Become an Immortal right before their eyes, they could not afford to care too much. One after another, they rushed into the Celestial Gate, unwilling to fall behind.
