Still Not Enough to Ascend to the Immortal Realm, Regarding All Living Beings Under Heaven as Ants
Still Not Enough to Ascend to the Immortal Realm, Regarding All Living Beings Under Heaven as Ants
Even when the Hidden Experts struck out with their full power, attempting to resist this Source of the Eternal Overcast matter,
it was all to no avail. In the end, they gradually faded into the Grey Fog, bound by the Grand Dao Chains and imprisoned within the Dark Cages.
After Gu Changge finished dealing with all of this, he looked toward the distant reaches beyond the universe, where a vast and mighty army still remained—forces that had followed these Hidden Experts as they charged into this universe.
Among that great army were True Daoists, Quasi-Emperors, and no shortage of Sacred Emperor Realm figures.
But once the Hidden Experts were suppressed, they were no different from mosquitoes. Gu Changge did not even spare them a glance.
“The army behind them has yet to arrive. Only four Hidden Experts—still far from enough for me to ascend to the Immortal Realm.”
Gu Changge murmured softly, still waiting for the right moment. His target was all the Hidden Experts of the Beyond who had come for the Opportunity to Become an Immortal—naturally, not merely the four before him now.
However, although he intended to spare that vast, mighty army outside the Resplendence Universe, they did not know what was good for them. They insisted on charging in to rescue the four Hidden Experts.
In their eyes, those four Hidden Experts seemed to have been possessed by some evil—they had not displayed the strength befitting Hidden Experts at all.
That Grey Fog had swept in from some unknown place, engulfed the entire universe, and dragged them into it without a sound.
Beyond the Resplendence Universe, they were utterly shaken. They had not witnessed the course of that battle at all and had no idea what had happened—only that those four Hidden Experts had vanished like clay oxen sinking into the sea, disappearing so completely without even the faintest stir or sound.
Boom!!!
Beyond the Resplendence Universe, another rift was torn open.
With a heaven-shaking roar, the sky collapsed and the earth split as that vast, mighty army charged in.
At the very forefront, True Daoists struck out, their radiance dazzling, their world-shaking Imperial might pouring forth, causing even the rules of the Great Dao to tremble.
Never before had so many Emperor Grade figures erupted in a single era, advancing side by side, striking out together—shaking the universe, their might suppressing all of antiquity!
Within that great rift, all manner of laws interwove, capable of shattering Quasi-Emperors, capable of contending against Great Emperors.
As they charged in, they did not rush straight toward the Northern Dipper Star Territory like those first four Hidden Experts had.
Their target was that star territory shrouded in the boundless Grey Fog, where endless chains hung down, extending from that place, accompanied by clattering sounds as they descended—sounds that made their very souls freeze over.
Gu Changge watched this scene from the Gods’ Ruins, his expression utterly unmoved.
Then, he reached out and struck. The terrifying fluctuation was like the end of the world, as if it would annihilate that entire region.
Vast swathes of living beings and Cultivators were directly erased by this single palm, vanishing without even a cry.
Stars across the heavens fell, the thousand worlds trembled as if they would all come crashing down—but in the end, they shattered apart instead.
At this moment, even True Daoists were like ants, utterly unable to hold out for long. They exploded beneath that aura, and a rain of blood poured down across the heavens, dyeing the entire universe red.
“At a time like this, why choose to throw your lives away?”
Gu Changge’s expression remained cold. He sighed softly, and his voice spread out from the Gods’ Ruins, echoing throughout the entire Resplendence Universe.
All the armies and living beings heard his words and felt their hair stand on end, as if some deity standing above all ages were coldly looking down upon them, as if gazing upon ants.
“Who exactly are you?!”
A True Daoist roared, exerting every ounce of his strength, trying to blast that stretch of sky apart, trying to scatter the surrounding Grey Fog.
But in the end, his strength gave out. Even burning his Source, even unleashing peerless Forbidden Techniques—it was all useless.
This filled him with despair. This was simply an enemy that could not be contended against.
Gu Changge did not answer. He merely watched them quietly, then turned his gaze toward the distant universe.
He sensed other Hidden Experts of the Beyond approaching—and in far greater numbers than before.
More and more big fish were hurrying to swim into the net.
A smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. The Tree of Epoch behind him suddenly blazed with light, incomparably brilliant, like a radiance shining out from this era, piercing through past and present, illuminating the future.
In a daze, above the firmament behind him, the phantom of a Celestial Path emerged—incomparably solid, not blurry in the slightest.
And upon that Celestial Path, rules of the Great Dao began to surface, and phantoms of gods and demons condensed—one after another, incomparably terrifying, standing there clad in armor, their might towering to the heavens.
They were like the celestial soldiers of myth who guarded the Celestial Path.
The moment this Celestial Path appeared, it radiated a fluctuation that spread toward All of Heaven and Its Thousand Worlds, causing the entire Resplendence Universe to be suffused with the light of Immortal Ascension.
The sight here traveled beyond this universe, spreading to other places—as if announcing to All of Heaven and Its Thousand Worlds that the Immortal Path had truly descended.
That dense light of Immortal Ascension was too dazzling, bathing the entire universe in its glow. Even a blurry River of Time began to manifest as a phantom.
Of course, all of this was condensed by Gu Changge through laws—it was not the true Immortal Path. He did this only to drive those Hidden Experts into even greater madness.
“More and more Hidden Experts are coming.”
Tao Yao spoke as well, standing within the Gods’ Ruins, gazing into the distant depths of the universe.
Only Empress Huang Yu felt her hair stand on end. Even with her state of mind, she could not remain calm. She felt that all of this was too terrifying—True Daoists were worth less than dogs; only Hidden Experts had the qualifications to fight, the qualifications to count as big fish.
“Just what kind of world-shaking scheme has this qianbei laid out?”
She had never imagined that she would actually witness such a scene with her own eyes. Her heart was filled with nothing but dread and terror.
In her mind, Gu Changge had been an easygoing, transcendent, immortal-like figure—but she had never expected him to be so ruthless and merciless, regarding all living beings under heaven as straw dogs and ants.
Rumble—
The Resplendence Universe was blasted open once more. Terrifying cracks spread, and heaven and earth seemed to be torn to shreds.
A world-shaking fluctuation came from beyond the split universe, undisguised, incomparably powerful.
A terrifying, world-shaking figure stood in that direction like a Devil Mountain, its radiance boundless.
“This universe is strange. The beings who rushed here before have all perished, and there are even lingering aftershocks of an Immortal Grade Artifact. Something monumental has occurred.”
“But what can be confirmed is that the Opportunity to Become an Immortal lies right before us.”
Now, eight Hidden Experts stood together—truly defying the heavens. Daos that could not coexist were crammed together, and violent great explosions erupted between them.
Each of them stood within a stretch of starry sky, wreathed in cascading Astral Rivers. Each of them was the master of a universe. They used their power to keep one another at bay.
Each individual was comparable to a true Great Universe. Even so, chaos surged between them and great explosions erupted—all of which they redirected with supreme methods, hurling the fluctuations toward the Resplendence Universe.
The spatial barrier ahead shattered at the first instant. The vast, boundless fluctuations came surging forth like a breached celestial river, like a great flood.
“Could that place truly be the Celestial Domain? Or is it merely a phantom, not truly descended into the world?”
Thousands upon thousands of troops galloped forth. Within that great void rift, they gazed upon a world of longevity glowing with light, floating just ahead, and they rapidly drew near.
And at that moment, hundreds of thousands of immortal phantoms appeared, as if ascending as Flying Immortals, blotting out the sky as they came, condensing within that illusory world.
It was a resplendent rain of light, transformed into eternity, destroying everything. Were a Quasi-Emperor present, even millions of them would instantly be reduced to bloody pulp here.
Anything touched by that rain of light would inevitably be destroyed in body and soul. This was born specifically to obstruct Hidden Experts.
They struck out with full power, seeking to blast open the Resplendence Universe, incomparably eager to reach that glowing world—yet they feared the strangeness within and dared not venture too deeply of their own accord.
“Unwilling to come in? Then allow me to give you a hand.”
Gu Changge sat within the Gods’ Ruins and gave a soft shout. Sword Dao rules condensed before his eyes.
His entire body glowed, five-colored immortal qi seeping from his surface. The Chaos Qi shrouding him was shaken apart, revealing a countenance as handsome and refined as an immortal’s—yet his gaze was utterly cold, seemingly devoid of any emotion.
The void before him exploded. The Sword Dao rules condensed into a Bronze Celestial Sword, incomparably solid.
Then, with a hum, the Celestial Sword flew up. The moment this one sword emerged, the universe and its Astral Rivers paled. It split open heaven and earth, causing even the celestial road to collapse.
With a puff, the Celestial Sword swept across, light and shadows flying, shredding all the fluctuations ahead into fragments—turning them into a sky full of shattered rules and dust.
“What a terrifying existence... Was it he who struck down the other Hidden Experts?”
The eight Hidden Experts struck out in unison, attempting to blast through the Resplendence Universe—but at this moment, they all spat blood together, their figures staggering back in unison, their faces filled with horror and shock.
The terrifying sword intent seemed to descend from above the Nine Heavens, boundless and limitless, causing heaven and earth to lose their color, capable of collapsing all things.
They felt their scalps go numb. From outside the universe, there was simply no way to reach their opponent—let alone blast open this universe and approach that glowing ancient world.
The next moment, they exchanged glances. The eight Hidden Experts resolved to join forces. Their respective Daos intertwined, emitting a terrifying momentum as they crushed forward, colliding with one another, and stepped directly into the Resplendence Universe.
A terrifying great battle erupted here once more, sweeping across endless star territories and endless universes. Even All of Heaven and Its Thousand Worlds, separated by vast distances, felt it and could not help but tremble.
“No matter how great your numbers, before me, it is all useless.”
Gu Changge spoke coldly, watching the eight figures charging toward him, his gaze as deep and unfathomable as an abyss unchanged through the ages.
Without a doubt, this battle quickly came to an end. The Dark Cages appeared once more. Accompanied by the sound of dragging chains, the eight Hidden Experts were again dragged within, their presences vanishing without a trace.
The Resplendence Universe plunged into darkness. Save for the brilliant immortal light above the Gods’ Ruins, terrifying Grey Fog swept in, blotting out everything, leaving this place deathly silent and desolate.
The Hidden Experts who arrived afterward were horrified, halting beyond the universe—yet they too could not resist the temptation of Immortal Ascension and charged straight in.
Without exception, they followed in the footsteps of the Hidden Experts before them, adding several more figures to the Dark Cages.
