Waiting for Team Leader
“Wow… it’s so big… so tall…”
Min-ah arrived at the address Gyeong-rok had given her, but she couldn’t bring herself to go inside. Instead, she paced restlessly in front of the building.
It felt far too awkward for her to enter first.
So rather than stepping into the lobby, she chose to wander around and take in the hotel exterior.
It was tall and gleaming. Even at a glance, it was clearly not the kind of place an ordinary office worker could casually visit.
Unless they were on a honeymoon, she probably never would have stayed at a hotel like this.
‘It makes sense that the Team Leader would think of a place like this…’
Tonight, she was supposed to spend the night here with Gyeong-rok.
After hearing that Min-woo was heading down to his parents’ house for the weekend, she had casually mentioned it—and somehow, it had led to this. She would be spending the evening alone with Gyeong-rok.
‘Oppa said he was fine with it, but…’
When she remembered the way his expression had darkened, it didn’t seem like he was okay at all. An uneasy feeling clung to her and refused to leave.
After reading the text from Gyeong-rok, Min-ah squeezed her eyes shut.
Then, slowly, she began to walk.
The hotel lobby was quieter than she had expected.
It was a weekend afternoon, but it wasn’t crowded enough to feel bustling.
Min-ah paused for a moment. She caught her own reflection in the glass windows and let out a small sigh.
Her heart was pounding wildly in her chest.
‘Get a grip, Seo Min-ah. This is all for Oppa.’
She pulled herself together, refusing to let the luxurious hotel lobby distract her.
“Min-ah, you’re here?”
A familiar voice reached her.
Min-ah jumped in surprise and turned her head.
Gyeong-rok was walking slowly toward her from one side of the lobby.
He wasn’t wearing the usual suit she saw him in at the office.
Instead, he had on a crisp shirt and a light jacket.
Because it was the weekend, he carried a slightly more relaxed air than usual.
“Hello…”
Min-ah greeted him in a strangely small voice.
Gyeong-rok looked at her for a moment before offering a gentle smile.
“Sorry I’m late. There wasn’t any parking.”
“N-no, it’s fine…!”
The answer came out reflexively.
She couldn’t hide the tremble in her voice.
Gyeong-rok didn’t bother pointing out how stiff her tone had become.
He simply began walking naturally.
“Shall we head up?”
Min-ah hesitated for a second, then followed behind him.
When they reached the elevator, the polished metal doors reflected the two of them standing side by side.
It felt strangely surreal.
At the office, he was someone she saw every day. But right now, he felt like an entirely different person.
Ding.
The elevator doors opened.
The two of them stepped inside. Once the doors closed, the space grew quiet.

Min-ah stared fixedly at the floor display for no particular reason. Gyeong-rok didn’t say anything either.
The silence felt heavy. She wanted to say something—anything—but every time the urge rose, she swallowed it back down.
‘If I open my mouth, I’ll probably say something weird again…’
With every number that lit up as they ascended, her heart seemed to beat a little faster.
She had no idea what she should say.
Was it really right for her to have come this far?
Should she turn back even now?
There were so many things she wanted to ask, but none of them would leave her lips.
Ding.
When the elevator reached their floor, they stepped out without a word.
The doors opened to reveal a long hallway. The two of them walked slowly down it.
The corridor, lined with thick carpet, was completely silent.
Gyeong-rok stopped in front of a room.
He tapped his card against the reader, and a green light blinked on.
Click.
The door unlocked.
Min-ah swallowed hard without realizing it. Gyeong-rok took one step to the side of the open doorway.
“Go on in, Min-ah.”
She stood frozen for a moment. Then, slowly, she stepped into the room.
—
Min-ah took one step inside the suite.
The sound of the door closing behind her felt deafening.
Click.
That short sound made her heart leap violently in her chest.
The room was spacious and quiet. Through the windows, the glittering night view of the city stretched out below.
The soft lighting and neatly arranged furniture created the feeling that she had stepped into another world entirely.
Min-ah gripped the strap of her bag tightly.
‘Should I turn back even now…?’
She had lost count of how many times that thought had crossed her mind.
But she had already come this far.
Behind her, Gyeong-rok slowly entered the room.
He didn’t rush her, nor did he try to hurry her along.
“Are you nervous?”
Min-ah couldn’t answer. Gyeong-rok walked toward the window as he continued.
“To be honest, you probably still want to leave, don’t you?”
His words made her gaze waver.
It was as if he had looked straight into her mind.
“But the fact that you still came means there must be a reason.”
His voice was quiet. Min-ah bit her lip.
Min-woo.
In the end, every thought circled back to that name.
She had believed this was a choice made for the person she loved, but lately she had begun to wonder, little by little, exactly what she was really doing this for.
Gyeong-rok watched her for a long moment before gesturing toward the bed.
“First, why don’t you sit down.”
Min-ah slowly sat on the edge of the bed. Silence once again filled the suite.

“Min-woo told me something,”
Gyeong-rok began in a low voice.
“He said to take good care of you tonight.”
“…!”
Min-ah’s head snapped up.
Her boyfriend had sent his own fiancée to a hotel room alone with another man and told that man to “take good care of her.”
The twisted desire she couldn’t understand, and the man in front of her who spoke of it as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
It felt like her sanity was shattering into pieces.
‘Did Oppa… really say that…?’
She wanted to believe it was a lie, but she couldn’t imagine Gyeong-rok would lie about something like this.
As he looked down at her confused expression, Gyeong-rok slowly reached out.
His large, firm hand gently cupped her cheek.
His thumb softly stroked her lips, which were tense with nerves.
“So tonight, Min-ah, I want you to focus only on me.”
“Mmh…”
When the thumb pressing against her lips applied a little more pressure, a suppressed moan slipped from Min-ah’s mouth.
Gyeong-rok listened to the sound as if savoring it, then slowly withdrew his hand.
He leaned against the bedside table and looked down at the bewildered Min-ah with a relaxed gaze.
“It seems like your mind is far too cluttered right now.”
“…”
“Well, that’s understandable. You came to a hotel room with another man for Min-woo’s sake, after all.”
His words struck right at the heart of the matter, and Min-ah’s shoulders flinched.
With his hands tucked into his pockets, Gyeong-rok continued speaking in the calm tone one might use for everyday conversation.
“Still, if you’re going to be intimate with me for Min-woo’s sake, I have two suggestions for you.”
“Two… suggestions?”
Min-ah looked up at him with anxious eyes.
“The first is that we spend this time together as just the two of us.”
“Just… the two of us?”
“Yes. Like an ordinary couple. …Not as team leader and subordinate.”
Gyeong-rok’s voice was endlessly tender and sweet.
“I’ll kiss you gently, hold you softly. Until you open your eyes tomorrow morning, there will be no interruptions. I’ll focus only on how you feel.”
Min-ah’s heart began to race wildly.
Like lovers. The power of those words was overwhelming.
It was more than simply mixing bodies—it was a temptation to open her heart to him completely.
“Th-then… what’s the second option…?”
Min-ah swallowed dryly and barely managed to squeeze out the next question.
Gyeong-rok held up two fingers with a mysterious smile.
“The second is… to create the perfect gift that Min-woo would want the most.”
“A… gift?”
Gyeong-rok pulled his smartphone from his inner pocket and casually set it down on the table.
The black screen caught the fluorescent light and gleamed coldly.
“We record everything we do on this bed—from beginning to end.”
“……!!”
Min-ah’s breath caught in her throat. Her eyes widened in shock.
“We’ll capture every expression you make beneath me, every sound you let out… and show the entire video to Min-woo tomorrow.”
“T-Team Leader… how could you even suggest something like…!”
Shocked, Min-ah shot up from the bed. Gyeong-rok simply shrugged as if it were no big deal.
At his reaction, Min-ah’s face drained of all color.
He wasn’t joking.
The first thing that came to her mind was Min-woo’s face.
Min-woo watching her with another man.
And not just photos—video.
It meant every expression she wanted to hide, every time she turned her head in shame, would all be captured.
‘No…’
That was what she thought… but her heart was pounding faster.
Even as she told herself it was wrong.
What if Min-woo saw the video and liked it?
The moment that thought flashed through her mind, Min-ah became afraid of herself.
“Do we… really have to record it?”
“It’s not that we have to,”
Gyeong-rok answered calmly. When Min-ah looked at him in confusion, he continued.
“It’s simply what we both want. Wouldn’t it be nice if both of us gave Min-woo something he’d like?”
Min-ah bit her lip lightly.
Gyeong-rok was right. The only reason she was sitting here in this hotel room with him was for that one purpose.
“…I understand… He’ll… probably like it, right?”
“He will.”
Gyeong-rok nodded. Then he held his hand out to her.
“Let’s use your phone to record it. That way you’ll feel less anxious.”
