Chapter 136: Practical Combat 5
* * *
Title: Finally caught him. That Baechujeon bastard.
(Image of Betzdo stage clear)
I was honestly going to quit the game, but I restarted out of pure spite.
Because of a certain someone, I couldn't even look at a strategy guide and just had to bash my head against the wall until I cleared it. Rate my form.
And most importantly:
→ Where the hell is that Loki bastard right now? I’m catching up to him soon.
Trash tier. You only just cleared that?
This guy refuses to call him Betzdo until the very end.
LOL, but if he cleared it without a single guide, I’ll give him respect.
"Catching up soon," my ass. Do you think Loki is a joke? He drops at least one troll post a day.
Isn't Loki currently Rank 1?
Facts lol. And Betzdo’s patterns are actually on the easier side compared to other Necromancers.
OP: Don't talk shit. You call these god-awful patterns easy?
At least you could clear it by bashing your head against it without a guide. Most other Necromancers are impossible even if you do that.
But the frontrunners don't have any guides to look at, do they?
Those guys are just psychos.
Why are you looking for Loki anyway?
This OP is the guy who got baited by Loki last time and dropped all his items lol.
Ah, LOL.
LMAO.
LOLOLOLOL. He still hasn't quit.
OP: Stop laughing, ffs. I couldn't even sleep because of that.
But Loki’s only been posting troll posts lately, no clear certifications.
Is he stuck?
Well, the difficulty spikes later on, so it probably takes a long time to clear.
Loki: I reset my account and I'm starting over from the beginning.
OP: ???
?????
?.....???
????
Why??
????
Loki: Because my favorite character died.
Sepia?
Sepia dies at the beginning. It’s definitely not her.
OP: Stop speculating. What if that psycho drops a spoiler?
Loki: Every Special Class student except the protagonist.
OP: FUCK.
??????
For real?
Loki: Lol, of course I'm lying.
LOL, right?
OP: Phew, I actually got scared I was being spoiled.
Loki: Most of them would die anyway if Elicia uses Dragon Breath, so why would the whole Special Class need to die?
?????
?????
?? Why would Elicia use Dragon Breath?
Loki: Because she’s a Dragon?
?????
??
???
Loki: Ah, was that a real spoiler? My bad, my bad. 〜( ̄▽ ̄〜)
You son of a bitch.
Are you actually insane?
Now he’s pulling this shit in the comments.
"My bad, my bad," my ass. You piece of shit.
The reason this guy is truly malicious → He can delete his comments, but he’s left them there for 10 years without deleting a single one.
Title: A guide for newbies on how to easily cook that Newbie Crusher, Baechu.
(Image showing the user has cleared up to a certain stage)
★ The most important thing for newbies to remember ★
If the person who posted the guide is named Loki, skip it no matter what. It sounds incredibly plausible when you read it, right? But if you follow it, you’re screwed.
[Tips for catching Baechu]
Fighting a necromancer one-on-one is impossible. By “lackeys,” I don’t mean the skeletons they summon; I mean the necromancer’s followers who keep getting in your way.
The skeletons revive endlessly as long as the necromancer has mana left, so don’t bother trying to wipe them out. Take down the lackeys first.
Getting hit by a skeleton only costs you HP, but a lackey’s black mana attack piles every debuff imaginable onto you.
Long-armed skeleton: Its arms look a little longer than the others’. Then they suddenly stretch out, like that guy in the pirate manga.
Extending-tongue skeleton: Unlike the other skeletons, this one has a tongue. Before extending it, it plants both feet on the ground and bends forward slightly.
...
Small skeleton: Appears when you get close to Betzdo. It isn’t particularly difficult if you know to expect it.
If you memorize all of this and practice, even a newbie can clear it.
Typical post written for newbies. Newbies don't read it, and only veterans come to check if anything is wrong.
Facts lol.
Back in my day, we didn't have things like "strategy guides." You only got better by doing it yourself. Kids these days, tsk tsk.
Gramps, have you even played this game?
(Photo of current Rank 3) I’m better than you, kid.
That’s ridiculous.
Why are there no normal people among the rankers?
Because if you were normal, you couldn't be a ranker.
It’s Betzdo! Betzdo! How many times do I have to tell you!
Why is this guy so obsessed with the name?
I think the OP is intentionally getting it wrong just to see this guy's reaction.
Fr lol.
No one’s talking about the actual content lol. It’s actually well-written.
Lol, it is well-written. The problem is it’s too detailed.
Why is that a problem?
It’s too damn long. If you were a newbie, would you read all that?
Ah, lol.
Actual Newbie: But why should I skip Loki’s posts? I cleared a stage easily using one of his guides last time.
Lol, a real newbie.
You just got lucky.
That’s why Loki is truly malicious. Some of his methods are brilliantly good, but others are brilliantly fucked.
Loki: Hmm... ( ˙⤙˙ )
OP: Stop using those shitty emoticons and use your words.
Loki: It’s well-written, but Sepia dies if you do it that way.
????????
OP: What kind of fresh bullshit is this?
But isn't Sepia already dead when you meet Betzdo?
Yeah, that’s why you meet Betzdo in the story.
Loki: That’s why you have to go find him yourself before Betzdo kills Sepia.
???
Is that even possible?
Loki: Yeah. But there’s one problem.
What is it?
Loki: Well...
Yeah?
Loki: Hmm....
Just say it already!
Fr, he’s playing around in the comments now.
Loki: You have to fight another Necromancer at the same time as Betzdo.
.........
.........
..... What?

"Who are you?"
One of Betzdo's subordinates addressed the masked man on behalf of the group.
Unlike their previous dismissive attitude toward the old man, Betzdo's subordinates were now on high alert. The fact that his appearance had shifted from a frail elder in an instant, coupled with how effortlessly he had neutralized their comrade, raised serious alarms.
However, the response they received was delivered in a playful tone that completely clashed with his recent display of violence.
"I'm just a normal, wholesome, diligent, vegetable-selling pretty boy."
"Aaaaaaaagh!"
The comrade who had been struck by the masked man was still screaming in agony on the ground.
The man acting as the leader of the subordinates ordered, his eyes locked firmly on the masked intruder:
"Kill him."
The weight of this command was different from before. He knew this wasn't a simple execution; it was a battle.
Upon hearing the order, the subordinates surrounded the masked man. Black Mana began to pulse from their hands, emitting an ominous, chilling aura.
However, the leader didn't expect the struggle to last long. He convinced himself that his comrade had only fallen because he’d let his guard down due to the old man's disguise.
"Oh my, how scary. This is why it's so hard to make a living selling vegetables."
The masked man, Loki, spoke nonchalantly despite the dozens of men closing in on him. He acted as if the threat was nothing more than a minor inconvenience.
Swish, whoosh, zip.
"Die!"
Betzdo's subordinates lunged for the kill, but...
"I'd rather not."
Not a single attack managed to even graze Loki's cloak. As the seconds ticked by and Loki continued to dance through their formation, the subordinates began to grow anxious. The battle they thought would end in a heartbeat was dragging on. Worse, their opponent hadn't been touched once, and his breathing wasn't even labored.
"Do you really think you can defeat all of us alone?"
"I was just planning to play around like this for a bit and then run away," Loki replied with a casual shrug.
After all, Loki's only goal was to prevent them from interfering with Sepia's fight.
"Did you really think we'd let you leave here alive?" one of the subordinates growled.
"Pfft!"
Loki openly mocked him.
"Then what are you going to do? Keep fighting me like this? I'm still perfectly fine, you know."
The leader of the subordinates paused to consider Loki's words. In any other situation, he would have hunted this arrogant bastard down no matter how long it took, but they were on a clock. They had to reach Lord Betzdo immediately. The signal Betzdo had sent was an emergency summons for all nearby subordinates.
Lord Betzdo was likely engaged with Mordor right now. He had always been obsessed with killing that man, after all.
'If we delay any longer, there's no telling what Lord Betzdo might do.'
In this situation...
Schwing.
"Stop," the leader ordered, sheathing his sword. They didn't have the luxury of wasting their strength on a distraction. "Ignore him. We're going to Lord Betzdo."
At his command, the men lowered their weapons. Just as they were about to bypass Loki and head deeper into the forest...
Loki, who had only been dodging until now, suddenly swung his sword, blocking their path.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"It's obvious you're in a hurry, which changes the terms of our conversation entirely."
"....What do you want?"
"Just give me 50 gold coins for the vegetables. If you don't want to, you can stay and play with me some more. For the record, I'm very confident in my ability to run away."
Grit.
The leader ground his teeth. "Give that bastard 50 gold coins."
"B-but..."
"Shut up! We don't have time to deal with a freak like that!"
Reluctantly, the subordinates handed over the 50 gold coins.
"Thank you, valued customers!"
The masked man took the money and vanished like smoke.

After paying the toll, Betzdo's subordinates sprinted through the forest. They needed to reach their master, but a sense of unease hung over them. It wasn't just the fact that they’d been extorted.
Boom! Bang! Crash!
The sounds of Lord Betzdo's battle echoed through the trees, but no matter how fast they ran, the noise never got any closer. They checked for illusion spells, but their mana detection came up clean. What was happening?
When nearly forty minutes had passed...
Someone pointed ahead. "I see someone!"
"Is it Lord Betzdo?"
They sprinted toward the figure, but as the silhouette became clear, they all skidded to a dead halt.
"................."
".................."
".................."
"Please... won't someone buy these..."
Waiting for them in the middle of the path was the same old man, still trying to sell his vegetables.
