Prologue
I'd recently started playing this super popular horror game. But damn, it just wasn't doing it for me.
"Why the hell are there no cute girls in this game...?"
I muttered to myself.
Monster Game. With its plain-as-dirt title, this game had been getting rave reviews from players lately. The atmosphere stayed creepy from start to finish, the BGM was top-notch, and yeah, there were jump scares—but if you played smart, you could apparently clear it without triggering a single one. Not that I'd managed that; I'd eaten plenty already.
The graphics were killer, the scale massive, packed with all sorts of anomalies and urban legends. Every community forum was blowing up about it. Even my favorite vtubers were streaming playthroughs, so curiosity finally got the better of me, and I dove in.
But there were basically no cute girls. Zero excitement.
"Sure, some of those urban legends had pretty potential."
But that was nowhere near enough. No point denying it—I was a total lolicon. No matter how much of a masterpiece something was, if it was crawling with dudes, I just couldn't get into it. I'd stuck to games with gorgeous artwork and cute girls, always setting the protagonist to female.
"No cute girl mod or anything...?"
With zero hype, I paused the game and went hunting for mods. After about three hours of digging...
I finally struck gold.
- This mod is incomplete.
- You'll play as a cute girl protagonist.
- Apply the remaining cute girl characters manually.
- Plus various collection elements.
Of course. No way the world's modders would let me down. I'd figured there had to be at least one nut like this out there. Sure, incomplete sucked, but one cute girl versus none? That was the difference between heaven and hell.
I downloaded the incomplete Cute Girl Mod right then and there.
