Chapter 1000.1 Author's Thoughts After Chapter 51
Author's Thoughts After Chapter 51
Hello, dear readers.
I'm posting this afterword.
This story began from a very casual spark of curiosity—no grand plan behind it, just a simple thought of, "Huh? This premise seems fun."
Yet you showered it with far more love than I ever imagined it deserved, and as the chapters piled up, your reactions grew hotter and more intense. It even scared me a bit at times. Your affection weighed heavily on my shoulders.
Now that I've put the final period on it and looked back, a thick sense of regret lingers.
My biggest takeaway is how unprepared I was and how badly I failed at pacing.
I'm the kind of lazybones who, after writing just one chapter a week, would flop down thinking, "Whew, all my tasks for the week are done."
This serialization taught me what it means to be diligent—something I'd never really known before.
I was able to shake off some of my chronic slothfulness only because of you, the readers who waited patiently.
Writing it drove home a harsh lesson for me.
"There's a reason no one else writes about this stuff."
I'd patted myself on the back for coming up with something fresh and dove in boldly, but once I started, I realized this premise was way too tough for a novice writer like me.
Some of you probably noticed, but there were parts I had to skip, summarize, or gloss over as the story progressed.
Things like in-depth looks at groups that specialize in Charm usage, or episodes with martial artists and mages.
I wanted to delve deeper into those settings, flesh them out with more flavor, but my skills couldn't keep up with my ambitions. I'm truly sorry I couldn't capture it all.
It stings that I couldn't translate 100% of the pictures in my head onto the page.
So, to soothe these regrets, I'm preparing some side stories.
I'll try to unpack the behind-the-scenes lore and settings that I had to skip over due to the main story's flow.
I'm also hard at work on my next project.
Using these lessons as fertilizer, I'll return before too long with a more polished tale.
I sincerely wish your lives are always filled with happiness—and above all, that you meet a charming, wonderful partner just like our protagonist.
Thank you for taking the time to read my flawed work.
