Sister-in-Law for Eye Candy
And so Kim Taeho and my sister-in-law settled into the remaining room, and they finished unpacking everything before evening fell.
She'd claimed she never got her hands wet, never did any housework — and it wasn't empty talk. It was the absolute truth. She didn't help move a single box; she just sat there staring at her phone.
Impressive in her own way, I'll give her that.
I let out a hollow laugh at the memory of that scene. How they chose to live wasn't my business, so I let it slide. Fresh out of the shower, I pulled a cold can of beer from the fridge.
Nothing hits quite like a beer after a shower.
It hadn't been all shitty days — there'd been good moments too. Grinning to myself, I scooped up a handful of nuts for a snack and started back toward my room.
"As if getting thrown out wasn't enough — how long are we supposed to live like this?"
"Well, that's…"
As I passed by, raised voices drifted out of the room Kim Taeho and his wife had claimed. Not even their own house, no soundproofing to speak of, and still they were going at it like that.
What the hell are they yelling about…?
Nothing since their arrival had seemed like grounds for a fight…
Still, there was a chance I might pick up something useful from their conversation. Curiosity got the better of me. Instead of heading back to my room, I stayed put and listened.
"Why couldn't you just speak properly to that little brother of yours!"
"Wh-what about it?"
"It wasn't just the project that tanked — the whole company went under so bad there's no recovering!"
He'd told me he'd been fired for botching a project. Turns out the company itself had collapsed, and the project he'd been handling had gone down with it as a matter of course.
Whether he was even in charge of a project at all…
I'd already caught him in a lie. Not that a lie like that particularly mattered — but the fact that he might be hiding even more from me was a problem.
What else was he covering up? Curiosity piqued, I leaned in a little closer.
"And on top of that, you fell for your coworkers' big talk and poured money into some shady investments that all went to hell, so now you've got a mountain of debt!!"
Debt…?
He had debt?
Ahh.
Now that I thought about it, a few things about that guy had never quite added up. Red Tags aren't something you slap on like little "great job" stickers, and investments tied to a company don't run on pocket change. If the debt came from that direction… then the Red Tags and the eviction notice fell into place perfectly.
How much did he burn through on investments to fall this far?
It had nothing to do with me, but the sheer absurdity of it still made me suck in a breath.
"Your brother looks like he's doing pretty well for himself — why not just ask him to lend us some money!?"
"N-no way! Even so, how am I supposed to ask him for something like that!?"
"Is this really the time to be picky? Pride doesn't put food on the table!"
What did she just say?
They wanted to borrow money from me?
Pfft—
When someone comes at you with that kind of open hostility, you usually get a rough sense of whether asking for favors is even on the table. The fact that they were still entertaining the idea of hitting me up for cash was, in its own way, genuinely impressive.
"Lost your job, lost your house, and now you're buried in debt on top of it. What the hell are you even doing!?"
"You think I knew it would get this bad!? And you know as well as I do that we're in no position to be choosy right now!"
"Oh my, what's with the yelling? Like you've done something to be proud of! Instead of getting all worked up, how about you go find a job and get us back to the life we used to have!"
"What did you say?"
"You said you'd take responsibility, so you'd better take it all the way, don't you think? And you — you used to be so popular at the company, so successful, right? So just know this: a lower salary or some cramped little place is absolutely not happening!"
"You've got a mouth and you'll just say any damn thing that comes out of it, huh!?"
He finally snapped and the shouting exploded. Even if she was his wife, she'd well and truly stomped on the pride of a man who was nothing but pride…
"So looking down on people and puffing up that filthy pride of his wasn't just a house thing — he did it outside too…?"
And after all that, his company collapsed, he lost his job, he burned a fortune on investments and racked up an ungodly amount of debt, got everything seized… so now this unemployed sack of pure pride couldn't even talk back to his own wife?
What a real fucking idiot…
"I was already in a shit mood just from looking at that bastard's face. And now he hands me snack material this delicious? My day's looking up."
That said, it was probably time to shut them up. The neighbors knew I lived here alone — if those two kept bellowing at the top of their lungs, people would start getting curious.
Besides, I've heard enough.
I had a decent picture of how far he'd fallen. Deciding there was nothing more worth learning, I shoved the door open.
Oh damn. Unexpected fap material acquired.
The moment I stepped inside, my eyes locked onto my sister-in-law, who'd already changed into her loungewear. I hadn't noticed it as clearly before, but the curves on that body were anything but ordinary — they were right there, front and center. If I'd been that bastard, I wouldn't have been bickering; I'd have been balls-deep already. Mm, with that level of fuckability, I could easily go two or three rounds…
Ah, shit…!
Hot or not, I was staring at her with pure filth in my eyes. Fortunately she didn't react — she must not have noticed. That was a relief. She was packing weapons strong enough to disarm a man without even trying. Moments like this really drove home how terrifying instinct could be.
"What the fuck is wrong with you two? You're not the only ones living here — what's with all the goddamn screaming and carrying on? I don't care if you fight, but don't make problems for me or the neighbors. Got it?"
"Hey, we're a married couple having a conversation. Who the hell taught you to just barge in like that…?"
"…?"
Has this guy lost his mind?
Raising his voice, mid-fight, and now he couldn't see a damn thing in front of him.
I set the beer and snacks down on the desk for a moment.
I'll be right back before you get warm, partner.
After that solemn vow with my beer, I strode straight over to Kim Taeho.
SMACK—!
"Guh…!?"
"Have you lost your fucking mind? Some unemployed piece of shit screams at his wife all night and now he thinks he can say whatever he wants?"
Slapped across the face right in front of his own wife, Kim Taeho crumpled to the floor. It was necessary — a clean establishment of who stood where, and a boot heel ground into that sky-high, arrogant pride of his.
Wonder how sister-in-law's taking it.
I glanced over to check her reaction. She had one hand clamped over her mouth, startled, shrinking back a little. Clearly she hadn't expected the younger brother to actually raise a hand, no matter what he said.
Ah, wait a second…
……Something just reacted.
The way her arms pressed those massive tits together as she covered her mouth was an absolute masterpiece. And that deep valley between them, carved like something out of nature itself…
I wasn't sure this was the right moment for thoughts like that, but…
I suddenly had a real craving for some Valley Liquor…
The more I thought about it, the more my mouth watered. Once I cleaned this up, I was going to go look up whether Valley Liquor was actually a thing.
"Watch yourself. Unless you really want to die."
"…Kh."
I left Kim Taeho with a short, hard warning, then gave my sister-in-law a single sidelong look without a word. A message to both of them: I was watching.
I collected the beer and snacks I'd set on the desk and walked out of the room.
That felt damn good.
They'd never know — not for the rest of their lives. The way I'd walked out and headed straight to my room practically bouncing, or the fact that I'd turned their little domestic spat into my personal snack material. Especially the part where sister-in-law had graduated from snack material into absolute top-tier fap fuel.
After that, it was obvious he was doing everything he could to avoid running into me. The slap had clearly done its job.
No need to treat someone who isn't human like one.
I did catch a few odd looks — probably him trying to figure out how I lived. Of course, between free periods and after evening, running into each other was inevitable.
Still, looks like he's at least trying to find a job.
His pride had been thoroughly stomped in front of his wife, and then he'd gotten his face slapped on top of it. A man with pride that filthy high would claw and scrape to claw his way back up so he could look down on people again.
That's exactly his problem.
I wasn't exactly one to talk, but that man had so much pride it scraped the sky — enough that he had no sense of his own place. The type who'd never be satisfied with anything less than what he used to have, or better. Not that it was any of my business how he handled it, but with pride that high, I had to wonder how long it would take him to actually land a job.
Rent to pay. Debt to clear. And a whole future's worth of things to prepare for, right?
Time isn't infinite. I'd already made it clear I wouldn't wait around forever. The rest was his problem to own and solve.
Not having to look at his face is a win for me, at least.
On a morning flooded with warm sunlight, the perfect kind of day to start fresh — how do you think I'd feel having to look at a face that barely qualifies as human? Even if I scored all A-pluses or my phone screen lit up blood-red with notifications, that day would be pure garbage from the jump.
Still, him moving in did give me a chance for some real eye candy.
A woman — something that had never once entered this space except through a screen — had invaded my private territory. And ever since sister-in-law arrived, the whole atmosphere and air of the place had changed. There were women at university, sure, but I had no real contact with them, and — no offense to them — none of them pulled my eyes the way she did. Honestly, it wouldn't be an overstatement to say I let that bastard into the house because of her…
"Good morning, sister-in-law."
"……."
I was the first to speak, greeting her as she stretched lightly in the early morning. She turned her head at the sound of my voice, gave me a flat glance, then spun right back around without a word.
Oof. Look at that cold shoulder.
I hadn't even tried to start a conversation — just a greeting — and I got ignored the same as always, leaving the air a little awkward. Well, manners or not, what did it matter? She wasn't saying anything outright, wasn't making demands. And being an influencer, she clearly put in the work on her face and body — so my eyes got a feast and my mind got a little healing on the side. Besides, today's outfit was genuinely modest and good. The loungewear had been nice in its own way, but this was definitely more… ahem…
Thank you for the meal once again today.
My deepest gratitude to sister-in-law, who had pumped body, mind, and spirit full of energy so I could start another fun, powerful day…!
