Chapter 680: I Am Not Reconciled
Chen Chaofa was finally caught. Wang Wei and Liang Ziyu, both strength-type ability users, held him down.
To prevent more people from rushing in and causing chaos, Fatty immediately shouted, “Don’t go up. Only Wang Wei and Liang Ziyu step forward.”
His soldiers stayed still.
But at the same time, a full battle nearly erupted. From several directions, more people jumped out, trying to reach Chen Chaofa to save him.
The real Zhan Lian turned his gun, firing repeatedly, one shot after another, each bullet striking center-forehead.
Everyone who charged forward dropped dead on the snow.
Looking at their faces, most of them were people who had joined the Hexi villa group early—people from the time before the ice tunnel was even built. Fatty and his people had long known them. Some had even played with Hengheng.
No wonder Chen Chaofa knew Yun Tao so well.
But once these people died, there was no one left to rescue Chen Chaofa. He would certainly die today.
In the snow, the fake Zhan Lian’s face slowly cracked open like a torn human-skin mask. He returned to Yun Tao’s appearance, regaining Yun Tao’s high-level strength ability, and broke free of Wang Wei and Liang Ziyu’s grip.
Then he rushed toward the crowd again, unwilling to give up, planning to change into someone else mid-run.
But halfway there, a blood-red tendril rose from beneath the snow and hooked his foot.
Chen Chaofa fell. His face and clothing kept shifting—Yun Tao, Zhan Lian, then attempting to change into An Ran. But he discovered he could not control the tendril holding him.
An Ran’s Flesh Flower seized that moment. When he momentarily changed into Yun Tao’s softer form, its tendril pierced into his body.
Chen Chaofa trembled. He looked at An Ran standing nearby, his eyes blood-red, his expression deranged.
“I haven’t played enough. You’re not all dead. I am not reconciled. I am not reconciled.”
Sure enough, even if he returned to Jinmen Base, he would still want everyone in Yaoyang Base dead. An Ran gave a soft laugh.
On the Flesh Flower’s tendril, a new green bud sprouted and burrowed into the skin of Chen Chaofa’s ankle.
She quietly said, “You are completely insane. Someone like you, alive, is a danger to all of humanity.”
“Insane?” Chen Chaofa lay on the snow, glaring at An Ran, then at Zhan Lian behind her. “Humans are inherently ugly and evil. I saved those people in the Grand Fortune Hotel, and they betrayed me, deceived me. People like that—leave them alive? They will only betray more in the future.”
“Too extreme.” An Ran shook her head and judged him plainly. “What you did was wrong from the beginning. The people of Hexi had no grudge against you, didn’t even know you. Betrayal was never involved. You ordered the bombing of Hexi. You killed thousands of innocent people. While you accuse others of being ugly, you yourself are ugly.”
“The people of Hexi were never innocent!” Chen Chaofa gritted his teeth, shaking with pain, yet still arguing.
One of his legs had already been eaten clean by the Flesh Flower, leaving only a fresh red tendril burrowing up toward the rest of his body.
