Chapter 671: They Really Were Exactly Alike
An Ran had already prepared herself for a prolonged stalemate. In any case, she wasn’t in a hurry to leave. Staying in the Grand Fortune Hotel meant food to eat, beds to sleep in, and no need to endure the wind and rain outside. It was quite good this way.
Whoever couldn’t hold out, whoever dared to come out and cause trouble, would be fed to the Meat Flower.
Later that evening, Zhan Lian and Luo Feifan went up to the top floor and carried back two Yun Taos from the rooftop that had been burned to ruins.
Two Yun Taos?!
Both Yun Taos were heavily injured. One had been stabbed through the abdomen, the blade piercing clean through to his lower back. The other had been wounded in the exact same place, by the exact same weapon, with the exact same penetrating injury.
Both men were barely clinging to life. If they weren’t treated, they probably wouldn’t survive until tomorrow.
“Ahhh~~~” An Ran looked at the two Yun Taos lying on separate beds and let out a deep sigh. “This Chen Chaofa has really gone insane. He’s truly willing to pay a huge price for this. We have to save them. Liu Shasha, heal them!”
“Heal... heal which one???” Liu Shasha walked over to An Ran with a confused expression, looking at one Yun Tao and then the other. “Which one am I supposed to save?”
“What nonsense? Save both of them!” Zhao Ru sat in a chair and pointed at the Yun Taos lying on the two beds.
Liu Shasha hesitated.
“But if I save both of them, wouldn’t I be saving Chen Chaofa too?”
“And if you save neither of them, wouldn’t Yun Tao die too?” An Ran stood there with one hand on her waist and the other pressing irritably against her forehead as she stared at the two Yun Taos on the beds. “Save them first. Once they’re alive, keep both of them under guard. No contact with anyone.”
“That’s for certain.” Zhan Lian frowned deeply, his expression extremely serious.
Chen Chaofa had handled this matter brilliantly. If he had transformed into anyone else among the countless ordinary survivors, An Ran and Zhan Lian probably would’ve followed the principle of killing the wrong person rather than letting one slip through, and simply killed both identical people.
But Chen Chaofa had turned into Yun Tao.
Yun Tao had once helped An Ran. Even if Zhan Lian wanted both Yun Taos dead, An Ran would never allow it.
Liu Shasha slowly walked to the space between the two single beds and looked left and right. She truly had no way to tell which one was Chen Chaofa and which one was Yun Tao. The two men not only wore identical clothes, even the wrinkles on their faces were nearly exactly the same.
Zhao Ru brought over a chair for Liu Shasha.
Liu Shasha sat between the two men, reached out with both hands, and held the left hand of one Yun Tao and the right hand of the other. She began channeling healing energy into their bodies, causing the wounds on both men to rapidly heal.
It had to be said that Liu Shasha’s healing ability truly was astonishing. In less than two minutes, she withdrew her hands, drenched in sweat, and the penetrating wounds on both Yun Taos had already closed completely.
“The wounds are healed, but the blood and vitality they lost will still need time to recover.”
Liu Shasha raised a hand and wiped the sweat from her forehead as she explained the necessary follow-up care to everyone in the room. Her ability only healed injuries; it couldn’t replenish blood.
The stalks of the Meat Flower at the doorway slid aside. After receiving the news, Fatty brought Wang Wei and Liang Ziyu into the Grand Fortune Hotel cautiously to check on the situation.
The other survivors still remained locked inside their rooms under the Meat Flower’s watch. Until the Meat Flower withdrew, none of them dared step out.
Looking at the two identical Yun Taos inside the room, both still unconscious from blood loss, Fatty couldn’t help laughing. He waved at An Ran inside and said,
“They really are exactly alike. Once they wake up and start talking, I wonder if we’ll be able to tell them apart.”
