Chapter 505: The Key Point Is She Won’t Peek
Several dinosaurs to the south heard the roar, abandoned their foraging, and began moving toward the star region.
Seeing Zhan Lian’s knife strike, Luo Feifan hurled a burst of flame. The little dinosaur shrieked in pain but kept coming, seemingly unharmed. Heavy steps thudded as it charged both men. They split, darting left and right, circling it.
What kind of bizarre creature was this? An Ran, watching from afar, frowned and idly shook a rattle.
Its hearing, smell, taste, and sight were all normal. Its reactions to Zhan Lian’s blade and Luo Feifan’s fire were also within the range of ordinary pain.
The dinosaur swung toward Zhan Lian, roaring without slowing. Vines curled across the ground, and vicious flowers opened their petal-like maws. At An Ran’s direction, the good and evil vines tripped the creature, sending it sprawling.
Freed from its attention, Luo Feifan launched another massive fireball. It struck, barely making an impact—its hide resistant to heat.
But not completely. The scorched skin softened and began to melt.
Zhan Lian, now in position, signaled to Luo Feifan in a gesture only they understood.
Luo Feifan nodded and threw a ring of fire around the dinosaur’s neck.
Zhan Lian spun, his knife flashing, and sliced through the exposed throat. Dark red blood gushed, corroding the flowers and vines it touched, blackening their petals.
“It’s poisonous,” Zhan Lian said.
Luo Feifan ran to him. “What else did your wife say?”
“She said there are more to the south.”
“Damn, your wife’s basically a post-apocalyptic intelligence officer!”
Luo Feifan looked at Zhan Lian with genuine envy. He also wanted a power like An Ran’s—then he wouldn’t have to go snooping around for intel anymore.
A moment later, his expression darkened, and horror crossed his face.“Wait… your wife sees everything. Didn’t she saw everything when I showered yesterday?”
“Pssst!” From her room, An Ran couldn’t help making the sound.
This guy was too full of himself. Why would she peek at him showering? If she ever peeked, it would only be at Zhan Lian.
No, the point was—she didn’t peek!
In the sea of flowers, Zhan Lian lifted a foot and aimed a kick at Luo Feifan’s crotch.
Luo Feifan clutched himself and leapt back, screaming theatrically as if permanently injured, even though the kick hadn’t landed.
An Ran lowered her head, unwilling to witness more of his antics. He usually acted proper, yet in private showed no shame at all.
She abandoned the thought of following the scene, stood, found a light down jacket for Dol, and stepped out.
Outside, Little Mint sat on the sofa, casually tossing crystal cores into a basket. With a flick of her fingers, she drew handfuls of ordinary crystal cores through the air with ease.
