Sex Ratio Completely Fucked World (2)
"Alright, let me sort this out again."
I clung to my crumbling sanity and scanned the newspaper to get a grip on the situation. This world had a gender ratio between men and women that was completely shattered. I'm in a world where men are extremely rare? "Holy shit, is this real?"
At first, I thought it was a dream. Just to be sure, I pinched my cheek hard. It hurt like hell, but I didn't wake up. Realizing my cheek stung confirmed it—this wasn't a dream.
When it hit me that everything was real, only one thought popped into my head.
"What can I do about it?"
Rather than panic, I decided to adapt. The world had a fucked-up gender ratio, and knowing that didn't change shit for me. That mindset kept me calm.
Right now, I needed to focus on what I could actually do. I eyed the empty can. Thanks to yesterday's choices, I only had 30 won left. To avoid starving today, I needed money. So, I decided to beg—my only option at the moment.
With that in mind, I started shuffling forward slowly.
Even before reaching the subway entrance, I could hear murmurs and feel the stares. Not the usual dismissive glares, but eyes wide with curiosity. Mostly from women, and it was a first for me. All those female gazes made me feel like a monkey in a zoo.
Still, I was used to people staring by now. Somehow, I toughed it out and made it to Seoul Station Exit 3.
I plopped down in my usual spot like it was nothing and said, "Please... just a coin."
I rasped my voice to sound pitiful, squeezing out half-tears. It was the full "this poor bastard needs help" act. In reality, that shit never worked. Occasionally, a genuinely kind soul might toss in 100 or 1,000 won, but that was rare.
"Hey... look over there, a guy's crying."
"What? Is that real?"
"Not some pretty boy like a girl?"
"Even so, he's built huge."
The stares felt off today. Usually at Seoul Station, people looked at me like I was trash or pathetic. But these curious eyes? Total monkey-in-a-cage vibes.
What could I do? Penniless, I had to swallow the shame and bellow at the top of my lungs. "Please help just once... I beg you!"
Did my desperation hit home? A 1,000-won bill dropped into the can. To some, it's pocket change, but to me, it was a fortune.
hehe, just 100 more won and I can grab a tuna mayo at the convenience store today.
Overjoyed, I grinned from my knees. "Thank you so much, really."
My thanks hung in the air, and the crowd went quiet. I'd heard "man-hater" mutters before, but now? Silence.
I cautiously lifted my head to check the scene. Office ladies surrounded me, and cheers started rippling out.
"Did a guy just thank us?"
"He knelt right in front of us?"
"Sis, I think my tastes are shifting."
"I like protecting guys, but this ain't bad either."
Fuck... something's wrong here. Their eyes were all weird. Before I could figure it out...
"Give money and he says thanks—looking right in your eyes?!"
"He didn't run and actually talked to me?"
"Hey, I'm heading to the bank quick!"
Suddenly, women nearby started piling cash into my can. Started with 1,000 won, up to 5,000, even 10,000 from some. I was stunned.
Three years of begging, and at 23, this was the first time cash stacked up like this. Overwhelmed, I froze, staring as my mind reeled.
"Thank you so much!"
I kept thanking them while eyeing the growing pile. In my old world, the only time money piled up was when some high schooler yelled "meso explosion!" and chucked 500-won coins during their commute.
One thought hit me seeing all those 1,000s and 10,000s: I'm eating out today!
I wrapped up begging and headed to the convenience store near Seoul Station. Today, I raked in a whopping 130,000 won. Normally, 5,000—maybe 10,000 on a good day. This was dozens of times more in one go.
Men are rare, and a beggar? Must be a novelty. Even the monkey stares didn't seem so bad now. If tomorrow's the same, maybe practice monkey calls?
"Ook ook, eek eek ahh!"
Eh... it'd make money, but my throat's already sore. Still, pricey eats today. The fat stack of bills made me grin ear to ear. My cheekbones might pierce the sky at this rate.
Calming down, I pushed open the convenience store door.
"Welcome... huh? A guy?"
"Yeah? Uh... yeah."
The female clerk's greeting trailed off as I beelined for the frozen foods. Convenience store lunchboxes—cheap ones 4,000 won, premium 5-6,000. I never glanced their way unless selling empties for cup ramen or triangle kimbap.
But today? I earned this. 130,000 won from begging—surely enough for a 5,000-won box?
I agonized for 10 minutes, then grabbed one and checked out. No regrets with cash to burn. Heated it in the microwave.
Couldn't wait. Yesterday's booze on an empty stomach wrecked me, and days of just tap water had my gut glued to my spine. Proper meal in 3-4 days?
Heart pounding, I waited. Ding! I yanked it out and shoveled it in. No chopsticks needed—I tilted the tray, slurping rice and sides like soup.
But... wolfed too fast?
"Pfft! Gahk! Cough! Hack—!!"
Rice lodged in my throat. Desperate for water, but... a 1,000-won water bottle? Subway fountains and bathrooms are free. Even loaded, no way I'd pull that rich-kid bullshit.
Just tough it out, get water later. Swallowing harder...
"Um... wanna drink this?"
"Huh?"
The clerk approached with water and a steaming O-gaejang ramen cup.
"I got no money though?"
"No... it's free. Drink up with your food."
Holy fuck, are all women in this world angels? I chugged it gratefully. Thought I was dying—now, am I even allowed this happy?
"Hey... mind if I take one photo?"
"Pardon?"
"Ah... never mind if not."
"Nah... whatever."
She's the angel who shared water. One pic's fine—even if it goes online as "poor beggar here," I wouldn't care. Hell, call me a beggar to my face, what of it?
I sat still for the shot, finished my feast, and left satisfied. Long-overdue good meal.
"Whoa... fuck, this is heaven."
I scavenged a box nearby, lay on it like a bed. Clerk said take it—insanely comfy, no creaks. Simmons who? Drifting off easy.
Plus, no creepy old dudes in Seoul Station subway like before—just aunties. Their stares were curious, no weapons or real threats. Young as I am, I could take 'em. Felt safe.
Ha... do I even need to go back to the old world? Too damn happy here. Fucked gender ratio? Hell yeah—treated me like a novelty, showered cash. No hobo threats. Live like this forever? No regrets.
Belly full, warm... mind fogging over. Sleep tomorrow, grind cash again.
That thought as I dozed... rustle rustle.
"Uh... huh?"
Woke to weird noises. No clue how long slept—lifted head for time.
"Oh? You're up?"
"Fuck who are you?!"
Eyes open: 60s auntie grinning creepily right there. What the hell? Raised head more.
"What the—!!!! Fuck!!!! Where you touching?!"
Her hand was creeping toward my crotch, aiming for my precious junior. Hadn't touched yet, but shock made me scream.
Mommy fuck, what the hell is this?!
