Spanks, Basics, and Divided Minds
My right hand formed a circle, left a triangle. Whoosh! Park Jisu's fist sliced through the air with a vicious whoosh, grazing past my waist. But for a total newbie just dipping her toes into martial arts, landing a hit on me—someone on the verge of Fire Realm—was about as likely as her suddenly spouting fluent Korean poetry. Sure, if I slacked off to match her level, she might nick me with a fingertip. But this spar was to train her, to make her breathe the air of a true martial artist beyond her Awakener rank. Watching her bounce around like an adorable puppy, I gripped my wavering focus and kept the pressure on.
"That's it! Good girl, my baby."
"Eek!"
She was hopelessly hooked on me, no denying it. Still, she was an Awakener with real power. At first, she'd shyly poke and prod, but after I teasingly tapped her body here and there, her poison boiled over. Park Jisu desperately corrected her off-balance right hand and upper body, grinding her teeth.
"Hehe. Spank that ass!"
Smack!
Truth be told, it wasn't just when she lost balance—by my standards, her plump ass was fair game anytime. But 'I gotta teach her the timing for counterattacks through eye-level education like this.' Not randomly, but when she lost balance, lunged recklessly, or pulled some brain-dead move—I relentlessly smacked her ass. The heat radiating into my palm and her swollen cheeks were downright mouthwatering.
"Huff... huff..."
"You bitch, my hubby just spanked your ass a bit, and you're huffing like a gorilla? Tuck in those lips!"
Her rage-boiled grip on her fist, that stuck-between-a-rock-and-a-hard-place face, and her puffed-out lips were hilarious against her "serious" vibe. Laughter bubbled out uncontrollably.
"D-don't laugh!"
"How can I not when you're the one making it funny?"
"Shit!"
"And didn't I warn you? Every time you show an opening, I'll discipline you with love taps. Why you fuming solo like this... heh."
Prodding her with just the facts and the situation, she knew she looked pathetic. Park Jisu squeezed her eyes shut, calming her excitement, then let out a world-crushing sigh.
"Dolsoe."
"Yes, ma'am?"
"Honestly, the realms you mentioned sound kinda like Awakener ranks, so I get it somewhat..."
"Yeah."
"But the martial art I'm learning feels worlds apart from what you learned, Dolsoe."
"Hmm..."
"For real! I pictured whoosh-whoosh, pop-pop stuff, but yours is like holo-long, hollo-rollong? It's suffocating, like I'll never catch up."
Describing a sect's secret art as "holo-long, hollo-rollong" like some moron, but I got her point. I'd clocked this issue while teaching her already, so a wry smile tugged at my lips.
'I don't wanna teach my wife some bullshit martial art either... but stepping up slowly is key... sigh.'
Bluntly put, what Park Jisu was learning now was straight-up third-rate stuff in the murim world—like Taijiquan, Liuhe Quan, or Sanja Swordsmanship, basic liberal arts every martial kid starts with young. My absurd strength made the gap stark, so her frustration was inevitable. My heart ached a bit.
"Hey, it's not that I'm stingy. You know this is the most important foundation right now, yeah?"
Unlike teaching the Mudang Sect's smelly loser scrubs or Ritka back in the apocalypse—where targets and weapons were clear-cut specialists—Park Jisu's main weapon, a gun, didn't mesh easy with martial arts. My endgame was well-rounded growth like mine, so starting from basics had her raging hard to soothe.
'And her ability's useless up close anyway, plus her body's too damn cute for this...'
Park Jisu was born with a physique least suited for martial arts, you could say. Still, as an Awakener, her mismatched strength and speed got her through basics decently. I nodded inwardly.
"Anyway! Hardware's a lost cause, fine—but load me up with some badass software!"
"Jeez... greed's overflowing."
"I wanna use Cheonma Divine Art toooo!"
She knew my soft spot for her all too well now, whining like a kid demanding toys on the street. Pinpointing Cheonma Divine Art meant my tales of Dokgo Hwaryeon stuck with her.
'Makes sense... Jisu's aiming for that charismatic vibe, like Hwaryeon-noona.'
Even mid-tantrum, she glanced warily, flinching like I'd get offended. I shook my head with a snort.
"Like I said last time, Cheonma Divine Art's a no-go. Even for Awakeners, martial arts build step-by-step from childhood... let alone that? I didn't dare learn it myself—how could you?"
"Fuck... f-fine, what's another one then?!"
"Hmm... Demonic Cult stuff's risky to even start. Best I know is Mudang Sect arts from my time there..."
The hidden library by the deep mountain pond flashed in my mind, but those were iffy too—bedroom arts or Sapa stuff, not wife-friendly. Given my time decoding scrolls and their purity, Mudang arts suited her best.
'Same sect, so if anyone gripes, blame "ability sharing." Plenty of powers like that—solid cover.'
I was teaching her for her safety, sure, but deep down, I'm a psycho-sociopath edgelord who hates sharing my shit. The thought of nosy fucks eyeing her using my arts, hoping for scraps, furrowed my brow.
'Not my woman, so why spread my generosity to loser scrubs? Not even ant-asshole worth.'
Imagining every woman nationwide leeching off me via "borrowing," temptation flickered—but it'd spark scandals, piss off the government and Association. I shook it off vigorously and spoke slowly.
"Too much gossip risk, so stick to Mudang arts. Sword-focused sect, but solid in fists and palms like mine—not bad, right? I can teach in detail."
"Like yours?"
"Yeah... Sipdan-geum's too advanced, like Cheonma Divine Art. How about Two Forms Fist Method?"
"Two Forms Fist Method?"
"Yep."
"Sounds kinda gay..."
Not the punchy name like Cheonma Divine Art or Sipdan-geum, so she pouted with furrowed brows. Her cluelessness made me pinch my temple.
"Quit bullshitting—it's from Two Forms Mind Technique, applicable to swords, palms, anything?"
"Uh-huh."
"Called fist method, but it's mental training, sorta. Works for shooting guns or whatever—high versatility. Core is thought division."
"Oh..."
Mouth agape in vague awe, but she didn't grasp it fully. Lesson learned: teach to the student's level.
"Learn this, and you'll last a bit longer when I pound you—thanks to divided thoughts."
"Oh!!!"
Now her eyes widened in genuine excitement.
'But divided thoughts... endure more? Or shatter her extra hard...?'
Curious? Test it out. Win-win either way.
