The Irresistible Battleship
What if, while wandering through an isekai world with a sharp gaze, you spotted a UFO—a literal unidentified flying object? Sure, as a hunter, I'd seen wyverns from afar before, and they left a different kind of impression, but the ship right in front of me now was something else entirely. It sent shivers down my spine and stirred emotions all on its own.
I'd mentally prepared myself for stepping into an SF game, thinking something like, Heh, space battleship badassery incoming, without much hype. But even awakeners like me are still human at heart. The overwhelming pressure from that colossal hunk of metal just naturally left me gaping in awe.
Fighters, spaceships, carriers—fuckin' nothing compared to this beast...
Back when I took that military studies elective at the Academy—one of those general ed classes that got guys all fired up over fighter jets—I'd stayed cool as ice. But this ship took that tech to the extreme, and it hit me hard, planting one obsessive thought in my mind.
Screw the giant spider or whatever bullshit. If you're born with a dick, you gotta pilot something like that. Heh heh.
I'd once dreamed of stealing a wyvern egg to become a dragon rider, but this sleek beauty made those childish fantasies feel pathetic. I swallowed hard.
"Whoa... No wonder aliens from another galaxy would come crawling over here to fuck shit up..."
"...Any chance I could fly that thing?"
My usual fake-ass pretentious habits vanished, replaced by raw, materialistic greed for the ship spilling straight out of my mouth. How often had I shown this level of blatant desire while hopping through games? It was hazy even to me.
If I had to guess... maybe when I recruited our cute little puppies, elf ears, and that musclehead?
Snagging our pure-hearted wolf girl, the elf, and the dragonkin had sparked a similar hunger, and thinking back made me chuckle in disbelief. Me, getting this worked up over an object? I wasn't even a chick.
"Whoa... And here's another crazy bastard..."
But Linda, oblivious to my inner turmoil, eyed me like I'd lost my marbles—grinning like a fool—while rolling her eyes in cold disgust, even as she stuck close.
"Come on... His dad's an admiral. Gotta be possible, right...?"
"Hm... Your dad's the admiral, not you, young master."
"...But aren't you getting too mouthy? How do you just copy me calling him 'dad'?"
"...Out of sight, out of mind—even for a king. What can an admiral do? A-Anyway! No real plan for you to snag that ship, so snap out of it and fix your clothes."
As I stared endlessly up at Minerva, she must've spotted us and decided to rescue us civilians, slowly descending. Linda yelped in surprise and started brushing off the dust and straightening my disheveled outfit clinging to me.
Maid instincts and professionalism die hard, apparently.
But seriously, no way Dad didn't know about this thing... No clue how tight this body was with him before, but if I play it right, maybe I can work some magic?
A war hero admiral at that rank? Him being clueless about a top-secret op like this didn't add up. Him leaving me behind to wander today felt suspicious—like he was scheming something behind the scenes. My head tilted in doubt.
As I smirked at pouty-lipped Linda, Minerva closed in for a landing. The massive hull's weight and engine roar shook the ground, whipping up gale-force winds for a brief moment before the drive hum faded and it touched down.
Kiiing!!!
At the same time, the hangar bay doors on the ship's underbelly slid open for our rescue, revealing naval academy cadets in uniforms I'd seen plenty of during today's surprise school tour.
Just like the PV walkthrough... These kids were emergency-operating the ship?
In the game story by Jisu, cadets who could pilot fighters headed to the fighter bays for direct combat—like the protagonist—while those who couldn't boarded this secret ship en route to the underground shelter to survive. So as the cadets approached Linda and me slowly, I curled my lips into a grin.
They're not old fogeys... Roasting rookies like these is child's play. Heh heh.
The cocky cadets strutting toward us with puffed chests and arrogant swagger—supposedly the tough guys among the bunch—looked pathetically laughable in their clumsy bravado.
Still, right now Linda and I were desperate sky-gazing fuckups waiting for rescue, so I schooled my smirking face into something neutral and waited for them to close in.
Click. Click.
The group of male cadets halted right in front of us. At the salute from the burliest, most massive one in the center, the rest snapped salutes too. Finally, they addressed us.
"Any injuries, sir, ma'am?"
Academy training must've drilled manners into them—they beamed friendly smiles at us civilians. It looked dumb as hell, but the giant's eyes darted hungrily over Linda and me through narrowed lids as he grinned wolfishly. I returned his smile with double meaning.
"Yeah. Lucky break—there was a warehouse run by a retired vet nearby, so we fared a bit better than most..."
I aimed for macho straight-guy vibes—hating fags with a passion—but I wasn't enough of an asshole to shit on honest grunts just doing their jobs.
Plus, no guarantee I can captain this thing, but in Jisu's storyline, these kids end up in the war. If I snag the ship, they could be my crew.
Lusting after Minerva was fine, but I couldn't run a behemoth like that solo. Unless I built a system to replace these ants—or turned the interior into my pleasure palace where my girls handled everything.
Huh...? The second option sounds better...
Mulling how to play with my prize even if I stole it, a vivid future of pounding pussy flashed by, and I nodded to myself.
As I stared down the giant scanning us, he seemed to know the retired vet I mentioned, shooting me a suspicious glance before beaming again.
"Ah! Mr. Kayroad's food supply warehouse is around here! Good thing. Old Kay's a real vet with a hobby of hoarding military gear like a maniac—he probably fortified that place solid. Haha."
The gay-ass name of the food warehouse dude suddenly soured my mood toward this giant. Built like a tank, perfect for slave labor—now I couldn't look at him without tinted glasses.
He's not some cliche gay partner to the gay warehouse uncle, right...?
No heroines in sight, just the game crammed with bromance, hot-blooded dude bonds, and transforming robot fantasies—Jisu nailed it. Every guy I met felt like a raging fag, goosebumps everywhere.
"Mr. Kay was there with you, then? Know where he is?"
I whipped my head away from the giant flashing his pearly whites, nausea genuine as I muttered softly.
"W-Well... by the time we got there, he was already..."
I handed over the military dog tags I'd swiped from his body with trembling hands. The giant's beaming face twitched, eyes squeezing shut.
It looked like genuine grief over a buddy's death, but through my fag-tinted lenses, it was just a heartbroken homo mourning his lover.
"Hoo..."
As he clutched his mouth like he might puke—mirroring my own revulsion—he mistook it for shared sorrow. His intense, lingering gaze felt oppressively burdensome.
