Chapter Title: Egugu
-------------------------------------
Jeong Yoo-shin closed his eyes and then opened them.
"Wh-What is this?"
Beatrice had muttered something, and then a bright light flashed.
The baffling event wasn't just that.
The single-edged sword he had been holding in one hand disappeared.
The royal guard captain Selenis had somehow come up behind him and was pointing a sword at his neck.
However…
He couldn't pay attention to her sword.
Because in front of his eyes…
An elf woman with long, ash-gray hair was standing completely naked.
Sharp eyes like a freshly forged sword.
Glass-like pupils reeking of a decadent aura.
"I've transformed back."
The naked woman stood on the bed and muttered quietly.
Jeong Yoo-shin's pupils, which had widened for a moment, gradually narrowed.
He immediately noticed…
That the woman standing in front of him now was Beatrice.
But…
Could she be considered a woman?
She was too small.
Her chest too.
Rather than a woman…
'She just looks like a child.'
Beatrice looked like a girl of a similar age to the fox beast-person Luna, or the younger Karin.
The little elf looked at Jeong Yoo-shin and gave him a shady smile.
"Skar, I'm back to my old body."
"Ah. Yeah."
At the soulless reply, the elf's eyes shot up sharply.
"What in the world is that indifferent reaction?"
Jeong Yoo-shin, unable to watch her any longer, turned his head.
"Put some clothes on first."
"What?!"
The little one, who only then looked at her own body here and there, was flustered.
"What is this?! I've gotten smaller!"
Beatrice raised her voice.
"Beatrice Ashwood?"
Selenis muttered blankly.
"Ah... Royal Guard Captain-nim."
"It really is you. You look exactly the same as when we met in the past."
Selenis's expression relaxed for a moment.
"I think it would be better for you to put on some clothes first. Let's talk slowly later."
"Let's do that."
The gazes of the three people turned for a moment.
They looked down at Queen Ellasein, who was trembling violently on the damp bed while in the midst of her ovulation climax.
Jeong Yoo-shin sat down again and held her hand.
"Beatrice, let’s work first. We’ll talk later."
"Wait a minute."
Selenis took off her armor and handed the little elf her arming doublet.
"Wear this at least. Being completely naked is too embarrassing."
"Thank you."
Beatrice put on the arming doublet and then suddenly placed her hand on Jeong Yoo-shin's shoulder.
Even before the latter could say anything, the lustful energy remaining in his body was sucked out.
Beatrice smiled.
"As expected, the Death Blade imprint remains as it is. I should still be able to absorb lustful energy. I'll help you."
The Death Blade imprint was still there?
He didn't know why she still had the imprint despite returning to her elf form.
He had a mountain of questions.
However…
Extracting the lustful energy from Queen Ellasein's body was the priority. Because if he left her like this, her hell of climax would just continue.
Jeong Yoo-shin nodded.
"Good. If there's anything wrong with your body, tell me right away."
"Got it."
Beatrice answered and held Jeong Yoo-shin's hand.
But she didn't just hold it.
Beatrice wiggled her fingers, interlocked them with his, and smiled with her eyes.
"What? It's more comfortable to hold hands like this, isn't it?"
"Do as you please."
Jeong Yoo-shin absorbed the lustful energy remaining in Queen Ellasein's body.
The Queen stuck her tongue out and trembled. Fortunately or unfortunately, he couldn't hear any lewd moans as she seemed to have fainted.
It was a situation where a considerable amount of lustful energy still remained within her.
Naturally, a question arose in Jeong Yoo-shin’s head.
'Where in the world did this much lustful energy come from?'
If he had the chance, he thought he might ask her later.
About an hour passed.
Jeong Yoo-shin absorbed all of the lustful energy and sent it to Beatrice.
The latter quietly closed her eyes and absorbed all of the lustful energy. She didn't show any particular signs of excitement.
Should he say that it was a relief?
Jeong Yoo-shin separated from Ellasein.
"It's finished."
"You went through a lot, Skar. Leave the rest to me and rest outside."
Only then did Selenis reply with a comforting smile.
"Yes."
Jeong Yoo-shin and Beatrice left the reception room.
When they came outside, the elves looked at Beatrice with surprised eyes.
"An elf?!"
"H-How come 3 people went in, but 4 people were inside?!"
"S-Skar's child?"
The elf royal guards, not yet free from the pleasure, muttered nonsense.
Jeong Yoo-shin shook his head.
"No. This girl here is Beatrice Ashwood, Director Aldein's younger sister."
"A-Ashwood?"
"Looking at her hair color, it seems to be true...?"
"The sharp and dark eyes too."
Beatrice didn't care much for their comments.
"They're fledglings. Ignore them."
"..."
Jeong Yoo-shin looked around and slumped down in his seat.
"So… Is this your original appearance?"
Beatrice crossed her arms and shook her head.
"How could that be? It's just my thought, but I think I temporarily returned to a young form because I absorbed an abnormally huge amount of 'lustful energy' all at once."
"Are you going to stay in this form then?"
"I think I'll probably return to sword form again later. It's fascinating. I've never heard of the Death Blade imprint having such an ability."
Jeong Yoo-shin and Beatrice chatted in low voices.
A moment later.
Selenis walked out of the reception room.
"The Queen-nim said she’ll summon you later, Skar, Beatrice. So please come to the inner castle again then."
"Yes."
"I understand."
Jeong Yoo-shin and Beatrice glanced at each other and moved their feet, leaving the inner castle.
◇◇◇◆◇◇◇
Around the same time.
Inside a carriage heading to Labyrinth City along the highway.
The mystic and Aldein sat quietly.
Aldein looked out the window and opened his mouth.
"Thank you, Mystic. Thanks to you, I was able to take care of the remnants of those suspicious guys."
"Don't mention it."
"..."
The two men closed their mouths again.
After a brief silence…
Aldein looked at the mystic.
"Are you another world's Skar?"
It was a question that immediately hit the core.
The mystic shrugged his shoulders.
"Why do you think so?"
"I mean, you're similar. Your tone and actions."
"Because we're brothers."
"A strong mage like you isn't famous? The names of the strong always wander the world."
"..."
Aldein rested his arm on the carriage windowsill and opened his mouth again.
"Alhazred."
"..."
The mystic's expression didn’t change at all.
But Aldein observed the mystic's pupils and continued.
"A secret society that gathered to fight back with the power of an Outer God when ancient monsters roamed this land. Where they reside, how many members there are, and what they’re plotting are all unknown."
"...You roughly know, don't you?"
"There were a few of them lurking in Labyrinth City."
"What did you do?"
"I tried to catch and interrogate them. But other than the word Alhazred, I didn’t gain anything. They suddenly turned into something unheard-of and I had to kill them. That's all."
"Is that so? No wonder I didn't see a single one of them in the city."
"May I interrogate you then?"
The mystic Skar stared blankly at Aldein and shook his head.
"No. I don't like pain."
"Yeah? That's a shame. But I want to ask one more thing."
The mystic's expression crumpled.
A sly elf.
Aldein had secretly watched the mystic’s magic from a distance before making up his mind to ask properly this time.
"What happened to me in your world?"
"..."
An out-of-nowhere question popped out of Aldein's mouth.
This elf seemed to have roughly guessed how the mystic had come here.
The latter was annoyed and didn’t want to hide it any longer.
'By the way…'
What happened to Aldein Ashwood?
The mystic racked his brain.
By the time he arrived at the labyrinth, 8 years had already passed.
He had never seen a one-eyed elf samurai.
'Ah!'
But he did remember a story one of the drunkards in the Eastern District had muttered.
A few years ago…
An ash gray-haired elf with one eye bizarrely distorted had a sword fight in the Eastern District and then left Labyrinth City just like that.
He didn't know what happened to that elf after that.
The mystic agonized for a moment.
'Is it okay to tell him this?'
But Aldein immediately grasped the mystic's intention.
"It seems that my end wasn't a good one."
"It's not a story to laugh about. But I don't think it's your story."
Aldein chuckled.
"Is that so?"
"Was it because of your sister? There are many ways to make even a Death Blade imprint absorb energy."
"There was an accident. A rumor spread. After that, my sister also became reluctant to do it."
"Was it the blood of an innocent?"
Aldein, who had been silent for a moment, opened his mouth again with a heavy expression.
"...I practiced a lot after that. Now, my sister has also adapted to some extent and can absorb energy skillfully."
The mystic turned his head and looked out the window.
Amidst the dark sky, the stars passed by the carriage window.
"You should have just erased it."
"I can't erase it. I just need to slowly gather energy."
The mystic frowned.
"I don't think you'll be able to endure it though?"
Aldein chuckled.
"You see through me well. I was thinking of stopping this gig soon and feeding my sister mana in a quiet place."
"That's good too."
The two spent their time talking about this and that.
A few hours later.
The carriage ran through the night and arrived in front of the Labyrinth City gates at sunrise.
The guard saw Aldein's face and bowed his head.
"A carriage is difficult to let in at this time. Please come in by yourselves for now."
"Okay."
The two got out of the carriage and came inside the city through a small wooden door on one side of the gate.
The mystic grabbed the guard captain at the guard post, exchanged a few words, and came out late.
"Is there any news from the inner castle?"
At Aldein's question, the mystic grinned.
"Hehe. There isn't? It seems like our youngest handled the lustful energy well, as expected. I believed in him."
"I should go and get my sister back."
"Let's go together."
The two passed through the southern gate and reached the front of the inner castle in the central area.
Luckily…
Aldein saw two people just coming out of the inner castle.
Skar.
And…
A familiar face, but with a much younger appearance.
"Be... Beatrice?"
Beatrice, who was wearing a small vest, raised her head.
"Brother?"
Aldein's lips twitched for a moment, and he slowly walked over.
"What is this? Did you suddenly return to your original form?"
"Yes. Only for a short while, though."
Aldein's head whipped around.
"Skar, thank you."
Jeong Yoo-shin scratched his head.
"It was nothing much."
Beatrice looked at Aldein.
"Brother, please help our Skar a bit."
"Why?"
"A small 'accident' happened while removing the lustful energy."
"Accident?"
The moment Aldein tilted his head and was about to ask…
He saw the middle-aged Skar with a greatsword slung over his back and TS Skar from afar.
The two approached them with fast steps as soon as they saw Jeong Yoo-shin.
"Oh?! Youngest, you're already finished? That was fast!"
"You worked hard."
At that time…
Someone walked over from the south.
The people immediately recognized his identity.
The wolf beast-person Skar.
The wolf beast-person guy had the black mouse guy on his shoulder and was holding a small bundle in his hand.
"What’re you all doing here? Kuh?!"
The wolf beast-person guy stopped talking and covered his nose.
"Th-What’s that smell?!"
The mystic made a knowing smile.
"Third Brother, what smell is it?"
"The he-heat smell of countless elves...!"
The 'Skars'' gazes were fixed on Jeong Yoo-shin.
The latter looked away and cleared his throat.
"Ahem. It was nothing special. It was just a little like that."
TS Skar narrowed her eyes.
"Youngest, what was ‘just a little like that’? Tell me in detail."
"It's hard to talk about it here. Let's go back to the inn first."
"Shall we?"
Aldein gently held Beatrice's hand.
"We’ll return to the monster dismantler shop."
But Beatrice shook her head.
"No. Skar needs your help, brother. Go to the inn with us and listen to his story."
"I understand."
Aldein immediately agreed.
The 'Skars' and the Ashwood siblings walked the dawn-lit street and returned to the inn.
The wolf beast-person untied the bundle on the table.
It was a whole roasted chicken basted with butter and spices.
"I brought it because I thought that First Brother would be hungry."
At the wolf beast-person's words, the middle-aged Skar smiled faintly.
"Thank you."
"What for?"
"So what happened? Hurry up and tell me."
The mystic urged Jeong Yoo-shin, his eyes sparkling as if he was impatient.
But Beatrice stepped up instead.
"Skar released the Sense Blocking imprint while absorbing the elves' lustful energy."
The people's gazes focused on Beatrice.
"It seems that the bodies that had absorbed a lot of lustful energy climaxed several times."
"..."
The people closed their mouths and looked at Beatrice.
Beatrice's story continued.
"...It was a mess when the Sense Blocking magic was released. Water was bursting out here and there, and they were like, 'Igeugeugeuk!!! Egugugugu!!!'"
Beatrice put on a realistic performance, as if vividly remembering those moments.
The mystic guy's cheeks turned pale.
"Egugu?"
"Ah! Agugu!!!"
The mystic grabbed his head and frowned.
"No. Are they some kind of old people?* To suddenly groan like that, ugh...!"
Aldein stroked his forehead and interjected.
"To summarize, Skar poisoned the Elf Queen and the royal guards with lustful energy, then cast Sense Blocking magic to delay the pleasure, and later, while releasing the Sense Blocking magic, he dropped the elf royal guards and the Queen-nim into the abyss all at once?"
"Right."
Aldein nodded for a moment and then let out a hollow laugh.
"Haha. I don't think I can save him with my power then, right? Skar, you'll have to call your master, Ashur Startree."
Jeong Yoo-shin shook his head and closed his eyes.
Absolutely not.
If this even entered his master's ears…
Then it was over for him.
"I’ll just die then."
"What do you mean die? We’ll help you, so don't worry."
"Fourth's words are right. There must be a way to solve this somehow, so don't despair too much."
TS guy and the first soothed Jeong Yoo-shin.
Aldein watched them and smiled faintly.
Rustle.
Beatrice held Aldein's hand.
"Brother, we'll help too, right?"
Aldein nodded.
"Of course. Whose request is it? I'll help you."
'Using whatever means necessary.'
Aldein quietly repeated to himself inwardly.
-------------------------------------
T/N - We get some backstory for mystic Skar. So the guy ended up in some sort of rebel cult that uses the power of an Old God to fight back against monsters? So that’s why his spells kinda have this Eldritch feel. Makes sense too, as the MC has been eyed by Outer Gods since the early chapters.
Also, who knew that Aldein was actually a siscon? Too bad Beatrice’s transformation is only temporary. I wonder what she needs to do to make it permanent, or better yet, toggelable?
*Referring to the exclamation “Aigo” that is usually used by old people who are feeling some sort of pain due to their old age.
