Chapter Title: The Bomb
--------------------------------------
He had a dream.
A dream where he was sucking on Priestess Mion’s breast.
She pulled down her lace bra, revealing her nipples, and put his mouth to her breast.
“Our Skar is brave. So brave. You saved many people again, haven’t you?”
Mion smiled and gently stroked his hair.
‘I’m happy.’
Nom, nom.
Had I arrived in a soft, squishy world of infant regression where I was praised just for breathing?
Even better.
The memories of desperately swinging his sword while on the brink of death gradually faded.
“Oh! Skar, p-please suck gently.”
Mion gasped for a moment, then managed a faint smile.
‘No!’
Anger flared within him.
How much had he suffered in the labyrinth?
This much sucking was fine, wasn’t it?
He bit Mion’s nipple gently with his teeth.
“Hmph! Oh!”
Mion bowed her head and trembled.
A lewd desire surged from deep within his heart.
He wanted to see more.
He wanted to embarrass Mion.
He wanted to shatter her gentle expression.
He gently rolled Mion’s now erect nipple in his mouth.
“Huff. Huff.”
Mion panted, her body convulsing.
“S-Skar, the way you’re licking is so lewd.”
Nom, nom, nom.
Wait.
Something was strange.
Why didn’t Mion’s holy chest smell of rich milk?
Instead, it smelled of lilacs.
‘Lilacs?’
Jeong Yoo-shin’s eyes snapped open.
“Mmm?”
Something was in his mouth.
‘What the fuck?!’
He quickly reached up and pulled out the long object filling his mouth.
“Ptoo!!!”
He saw a golden slime, wriggling and covered in his saliva.
“Are you crazy?!”
Jeong Yoo-shin stared at the slime with trembling eyes.
When did it get on his bed?
No. That wasn’t important.
‘Could it be?’
The nipple he had been diligently sucking in his dream wasn’t Priestess Mion’s, but Delia’s ‘personality’?
He barely managed to suppress his urge to vomit and put the slime back into the leather pouch.
“Sigh. What the hell is going on this morning?”
He sat on the edge of the bed while clutching his head and looking at the window. The sun was rising.
He got up, changed into light clothes, gathered his toiletries, and headed to the courtyard.
“Karin.”
“Skar?”
Karin walked towards him while shaking her wet hair. She was also carrying her wet leopard-print underwear, as if she had just done laundry. Karin blushed and hid her wet underwear behind her back.
Jeong Yoo-shin turned his head, pretending not to see.
“Karin, I’m going to the Earth Mother Goddess’ temple this morning. Are you coming?”
Karin nodded.
“Of course. This is not just your business, is it? We’re all from the same inn. And I also got an imprint, so I have to go to the temple anyway.”
“Really? I got an imprint too, so that works out. Then we shouldn’t open for business today.”
“Yeah. I already put up a ‘closed’ sign at the inn entrance. I also contacted Snout. Don’t worry and go wash up.”
“Alright.”
He went to the courtyard well, drew water, and poured it over his head. He lathered his hair with soap, washing away all the lingering dirt and grease.
As he dried his hair with a towel and returned to the inn hall, Karin brought him his food.
“Eat quickly and let’s go.”
Eggs, toast, bacon, and vegetable juice.
A simple yet nutritious breakfast.
He quickly finished his meal and went upstairs to get his money.
He watched the struggle between the slime, which had somehow escaped from its pouch again, and Lin, then headed to the Earth Mother Goddess’ temple.
Jeong Yoo-shin walked down the Southern District while looking around.
There were more explorers with monster-person imprints than usual.
A strange tension hung in the air, mixed with an exotic atmosphere.
“Karin, there are a lot of people with monster-person imprints.”
“I heard that people from the Eastern District often visit other districts this year.”
“Why?”
“Perhaps they want to enjoy their freedom? My mother has stepped down, and Lady Astaroth has taken over, right? Since she’s from the Eastern District, I heard that she’s a bit more friendly towards people with monster-person imprints.”
“Many people are also coming from outside the city. Haven’t there been any incidents?”
“I heard that they’ve stationed monster-people guards at the city gates. I haven’t confirmed it myself, though.”
“Is that so?”
A cool breeze swept past Jeong Yoo-shin.
Autumn was approaching.
He thought that he might even see monster-person explorers at his inn soon.
‘Is autumn the season of monsters?’
Jeong Yoo-shin and Karin arrived at the Earth Mother Goddess’ temple.
Tarman, Anne, and Marie were standing there.
Marie had taken off her priestess robes and was wearing ordinary clothes.
Anne approached him.
“Skar.”
“Marie didn’t receive any severe punishment, did she?”
“Considering that Marie’s mind hasn’t fully recovered, that Priest Diego orchestrated everything, and that you didn’t press charges against Marie, the temple decided not to impose any harsh penalties on Marie.”
“Did you tell them about me?”
“Priestess Mion asked us about your stance, so I explained what happened yesterday.”
Jeong Yoo-shin smiled.
“Good job. As expected of Anne.”
He was pleased that she was willing to protect her family, no matter what.
“Even so, a three-month suspension was imposed on her due to her misconduct. It seems like she won’t be able to serve as a priestess for a while.”
“Really? That’s good. It’s not a bad idea to take a good rest. Where are you planning to go?”
“We’re going to Dean’s place. There’s a city at the magic tower where Dean is recuperating, a little north of Labyrinth City.”
Jeong Yoo-shin nodded and handed Anne a leather pouch.
“I put a bonus in there. Have a good rest.”
“Th-Thank you.”
Anne, Tarman, and Marie’s eyes reddened.
“I’m giving it to you because you worked hard in managing the inn. Without your dedication, I probably would have gone bankrupt.”
It was true.
Without them, running the inn would have been much harder on me.
“Don’t cry. See you later.”
Anne, Tarman, and Marie bowed deeply while expressing their gratitude and then left.
As he watched them leave, Karin gently placed her hand on Jeong Yoo-shin’s arm.
“Are you lonely?”
“A little.”
“We’ll meet again.”
He saw Anne’s group off and then entered the temple, meeting the receptionist.
“Skar, Priestess Mion is waiting for you.”
“Alright.”
He and Karin headed to Mion’s room.
When they entered, Mion was standing there.
“Skar, Karin, you’re here.”
“Priestess Mion.”
Mion took a step closer.
“Skar, I heard everything.”
“I see.”
Mion bowed her head deeply.
“I’m sorry. I had no idea Priest Diego would do such a thing. I apologize on behalf of the Earth Mother Goddess’ temple.”
“It’s alright.”
“If there’s anything you wish for, please tell me. I’ll gladly give you any reward.”
Jeong Yoo-shin stroked his chin. He didn't have anything he wanted right now.
“I’ll think about it. Anyway, I’d like to check my imprint. Do you have time?”
Mion smiled.
“Anytime.”
He knelt before Mion and bowed his head.
A soft hand gently stroked Jeong Yoo-shin’s hair.
He felt a bit embarrassed, remembering his dream about Mion that morning.
“I’ll check your imprint now.”
Mion began chanting, and light filled the room.
Mion, who had placed her hand on his head, flinched.
“Th-This?!”
Mion’s voice trembled. Jeong Yoo-shin’s face also hardened.
What was it?
Had he gained another strange, perverted imprint?
Would he become stronger by crushing the clitoris of the person he liked?
Or was it an imprint that healed his body when he sucked breasts?
Or maybe it was an imprint that resurrected him if he wore the panties of the person he liked.
Because the darkness of the labyrinth ran deep…
He didn’t limit his imagination. There was even a Personality Excretion imprint. Of course, even stranger imprints must exist.
For some reason, the more he had his imprints checked, the more anxious he became rather than expectant.
Jeong Yoo-shin’s voice naturally trembled.
“P-Priestess Mion, did I gain another strange imprint?”
“N-No! It’s a very good imprint!”
Mion quickly shook her head and continued.
“Ahem! Skar, the imprint you gained this time is ‘Multi-Casting.’”
Multi-Casting?
“What kind of imprint is that?”
“The Multi-Casting imprint allows you to cast multiple spells at once. Normally, it’s a level that mages can only reach after long training, but with this imprint, you can use multiple spells at once. As the imprint grows, you’ll be able to cast more spells at once.”
Jeong Yoo-shin nodded, then paused.
‘But I’m not a mage.’
The only imprints he could actively use were Sacred Weapon and Venom Protection.
Revenger only activated when he was hit.
Death Reprieve only activated when he was on the verge of death.
It seemed like his path was leaning towards a magic warrior.
And since he had holy magic, was he becoming a paladin?
Jeong Yoo-shin was lost in thought.
Mion spoke again.
“Skar, that’s not why I was surprised.”
“Huh? Is there another reason?”
“I felt a faint aura of an outer god from your heart.”
An outer god?
“Ah.”
It was when he fought the Sweeper in the gateway to another world.
It was the ray of light that had shot from the distant cosmos and pierced his heart as he was dying.
At that moment, he felt his imprints connect.
Mion looked down at Jeong Yoo-shin’s face.
“Skar, do you have any idea what it might be?”
“Yes. I think I received that power when I fought the Sweeper.”
A faint memory lingered in his mind of him wielding his sword while wavering on the brink of death.
He thought his sword had glowed then.
What if that was the power of an outer god?
Mion’s expression hardened.
“Skar, are you really alright? Outer gods don’t view humans as individuals. They only see them as entertainment, as toys. If you were captivated by the power of an outer god…”
Jeong Yoo-shin shook his head.
“Priestess Mion, I have never been captivated by the power of an outer god, nor have I ever desired it.”
“…Is that so?”
“Yes.”
Jeong Yoo-shin asserted, his eyes unwavering.
Mion smiled faintly and gently stroked Jeong Yoo-shin’s hair.
Karin frowned and quickly interjected.
“Mion, check my imprint too.”
“You also gained one, Karin? Alright.”
Mion approached Karin and began to chant.
A moment later, a light flashed, and Mion stepped back slightly.
“Hiek?! This is?!”
Mion blushed and let out a cute moan.
Karin tilted her head.
“Why?”
“Well… that is…”
Mion hesitated for a moment, then looked at Jeong Yoo-shin.
“Skar, you might have to step outside for a moment.”
“Huh? Yes. Alright. Karin, I’ll wait by the reception desk.”
“Okay.”
Creak.
Thump.
Jeong Yoo-shin left, leaving Mion and Karin alone.
“Karin’s imprint is…”
“This imprint?”
◇◇◇◆◇◇◇
Jeong Yoo-shin waited by the reception desk with his arms crossed.
He was passing the time with various thoughts when Karin approached him.
“Are you done?”
“Yes.”
Karin nodded, her face flushed.
“What imprint did you get?”
“N-Nothing bad. It’s just… I’ll tell you when I’ve sorted out my thoughts.”
“Really? Alright.”
Jeong Yoo-shin left the temple with Karin. He thought about seeing Barion, but decided to let them rest.
When they returned to the inn, Snout was there.
“Skar.”
“You’re here? Did you bring someone to help?”
“Lord Aldein asked for a little more time. He’s been busy lately, so it’s hard for him to send anyone immediately. Can I take over the inn for a while?”
“I don’t mind. Let’s take it easy.”
Since they had some free time, they all caught up on their laundry and cleaned the empty rooms in the inn.
For dinner, they bought food from a street vendor and shared it with each other.
Grilled chicken skewers with sauce and sandwiches with steak. It tasted even better because it wasn’t his own cooking.
After dinner, he opened a bottle of alcohol and chatted with Karin and Snout while watching the darkening street.
As time passed, the alcohol in the bottle dwindled, and their faces flushed.
Boom!!!
Someone kicked open the door and entered the inn.
Jeong Yoo-shin’s eyes widened.
Orange hair.
Flowing twin pigtails.
A black horn on her left forehead and a sharp, crooked tooth.
And pitifully flat breasts.
The representative of Lilith, the Labyrinth City Council.
It was Astaroth.
“Skar, you bastard, you dropped a bomb at the Explorer’s Guild and then you’re just lounging around here? The whole city's in an uproar because of you.”
Astaroth said while approaching Jeong Yoo-shin.
Jeong Yoo-shin asked blankly.
“A b-bomb?”
What else had happened?
Astaroth grinned.
“Yes. A big bomb.”
--------------------------------------
T/N - That first scene… Ew. That slime came out of Delia’s butt. I’d brush my mouth if I were you, MC. Multiple times, at least.
Also, it seems like the MC really did get a power from someone to connect his 2 imprints, as user Lancelot had pointed out. Good catch! Mion also identified that it was an outer god, and considering where they fought and who was already watching the MC before this, that makes sense.
Lastly, I find the MC’s distress when checking his imprints funny but also understandable. Gatcha does that to you. And the labyrinth gatcha is truly pure, no pity pulls or any of that.
