The world I woke up in was the kind where hope went to die. No chosen heroes riding in on white horses, no convenient power-ups, no last-minute miracles. Just endless war against devils and anomalies, an empire rotting from within, and a story that delighted in grinding its characters into dust.
I knew the plot. I’d read every brutal chapter before I died and woke up here. I was supposed to be a nameless extra—background fodder who existed only to make the heroines look cooler when they slaughtered their way through the battlefield.
Yet something was wrong.
The heroines were supposed to be cold, distant, obsessed with their own survival or the male lead. Instead they kept looking at me. Watching me. Smiling in ways that made my spine crawl for all the wrong reasons.
This wasn’t how the story was supposed to go.
The yandere flags are pointing in the wrong direction.
All of them.
Directly at me.
I just wanted to survive. To stay in the shadows, avoid the main plot, and maybe live long enough to see the sun rise one more time in this godforsaken world.
But the heroines had other plans.
And they were no longer following the script.
