Losing My Purity to a Sheep
I lost my purity... On the morning of our promised date, I woke up an hour earlier than usual. After a quick shower, I got dressed and stood in front of the mirror.

A hoodie and three-stripe pants. Hmm, not bad at all? I usually preferred comfy clothes for camping, but this time it wasn't just me—it was the two of us. Plus, we were stopping somewhere else for sightseeing before setting up camp, so hiking gear felt a bit much. I grabbed my bag and headed out to the parking lot.
Humans are learning creatures, after all. Luckily, I'd loaded the heavy gear into the car the day before, so I didn't have to break a sweat first thing in the morning. Vroom—. The old SUV's exhaust growled as I drove toward the address Im Nana had given me. Punk rock music— the kind that made my body bounce automatically—was already blasting inside.
I pulled up at the entrance to her apartment complex and waited. It wasn't long before Im Nana came around the corner from the commercial strip. Thank goodness she'd remembered this was camping—jeans instead of a skirt, nice and comfy.
Phew, I was secretly worried. I rolled down the window and waved. She trotted over, opened the passenger door, and hopped in.
"Good morning, Areum-unnie! What a great day!"
I nodded back with a greeting. "Nana, good outfit choice. Looks comfy."
She buckled her seatbelt with a huge grin. "Hehe, I learned my lesson last time the hard way. Camping means comfy clothes only!"
Her words made the corner of my mouth twitch up without me realizing. As she settled in, a faint, pleasant scent filled the car—sweet yet refreshing, the kind you wanted to keep sniffing. I couldn't help wrinkling my nose a bit.
"Areum-unnie? What's up?"
"Ahem, uh, nothing. Ready to head out?"
"Yes! I'm so excited! Camping date!"
Ugh, camping got her this hyped? Gotta step up my game.
The car merged onto the road, and to break the awkward vibe, I tried starting a conversation.
...?
What do I even say? 'What's your hobby? Favorite food? Like drinking?' The more I thought, the more cheesy pickup lines popped into my head.
Aha! "Hey, Nana, how old are you anyway?"
"Ah! I'm 23 this year. Turning 24 in two months!"
??? She's... older than me? I'd pegged her as barely legal or around "Han Areum's" age for sure. Come on, with that pure brain of hers, who could've guessed mid-20s...
"R-Really?"
"How about you, Areum-unnie?"
"I'm 21 this year."
My mind's an old man's, but... Not technically a lie, right?
At that moment, Nana's eyes sparkled with overwhelming intensity. "Whoa! That makes me the unnie then?"
"Huh? Oh... yeah, I guess?"
"Can I drop the formal speech then?!"
"Sure, uh... yeah?"
Her question made my grip tighten on the wheel. Areum-ah~ ...Kkh. I'd never had a girl call me by my full name with the family prefix—it was way too ticklish.
"I-Is that no good?"
"N-No, it's not... Sigh, whatever, call me however you're comfy, Nana."
"Yay! Thanks, Areum-ah! But 'Nana' feels kinda stiff, right?"
"...?"
"There are other cute ones, like unnie or something?"
Unnie...? My hands clenched even harder. Unnie? No way could I—formerly a guy—let that word pass my lips.
"We'll... figure that out later. We're not just hanging out once or twice, right? Oh, there's a rest stop up ahead. Wanna stop?"
Nana's face lit up like the sun. Rest stop food is tasty, sure. That excited?
"Y-Yeah! Not like we're only seeing each other once or twice. Hehe. I want the whole potato on a stick!"
"I'm craving a hot fish cake too. Let's stop then."
I smoothly changed the subject and turned toward the rest area.
"Whoa! Feels like forever since I've been to one!"
"Lots of people, so mask up."
"Got it!"
We got out and headed into the building. It was packed for a weekend.
"Areum-ah, over there! Whole potatoes!"
"Yeah. Grab what you want and meet at that table?"
"Okay!"
Nana dashed off to the potato stand. I watched her go for a sec, then headed for the fish cakes. The thick oil and skewer smells mixed perfectly. Mmm, rest stops are for these guilty pleasures.
I grabbed my hot fish cake—looking satisfying as ever—and headed to the table. Nana was already seated, with steaming whole potatoes and snacks laid out.
"Those look delicious."
I sat across from her naturally. She skewered one and held it out to me.
"Yeah! Super tasty-looking. Here, try this first!"
"Huh? I have my own skewer..."
"Aw, come on. Say ahh~ Ahh~"
"..."
Too much pressure. I swear I felt eyes on us. But Nana just beamed innocently, pressing the potato to my lips.
Can't say no... I finally opened up and took a bite.
"Good, right?"
"...Yeah. Tasty."
Separate from the awkwardness, the salty bite with that sizzling Maillard reaction was legit good. Nana grinned satisfied and started on hers.
We finished our rest stop detour and hit the road again toward the campsite. In the old SUV rumbling toward Gangwon-do, the chatter of two girls filled the air nonstop.
How long had we driven? The view opened up—wide roads, blue skies.
"Whoa, amazing weather!"
"Yeah. Days like this, anything's fun."
I turned onto the winding mountain road. The scenery shifted, our destination coming into view.
"We're here. That's today's date spot."
"D-Date...? Uh, yeah!"
Good, sun's still up—not too cold, sheep are out.
I parked, got out, and took a deep breath. Mmm! This open view, crisp air!
"Whoa...! This is incredible!"
Nana, buzzing with excitement, pulled a small camera from her bag. She turned it on and spun around, launching into her channel's opening spiel. I followed behind, soaking in the scenery as we strolled slowly.
At the end of the hill path was a sign: Sheep Feeding Experience, next to a big barn. Inside hit us with hay smell and dozens of sheep packed in their fence, bleating at us.
Off to one side, hay bales and baskets for visitors.
"This must be the feed! Areum-ah, let's do it!"
Nana excitedly filled two baskets and handed me one, then headed to the fence.
"Hey kids, hi! Time to eat!"
She was a natural with animals, chatting sweetly through the gaps as she doled out hay. Fitting for a beauty YouTuber—every move was photogenic.
Me? First time interacting like this. No pets growing up... I shuffled awkwardly to the fence. No way could I be all sweet like her. I held out a handful, and starving sheep shoved their heads through like zombies. Wet noses and rough tongues ravaged my delicate hand in seconds.
"Eek, hold on! Don't eat my hand! Stop pushing! You there, pull your head back!"
I yanked my hand away in panic. Whoops! Did I just flinch? From sheep?
Getting spooked by mere livestock hurt deep. I wanted to teach these chaos merchants some order.
"Okay, you look calm—start with you."
But before my pick could nibble, a big one headbutted it aside. Survival of the fittest, right there.
After wrestling to distribute the hay, my back ached. I stepped back to stretch, arching with a big yawn.
That's when it happened. Something soft and damp burrowed deep between my legs from the front. A baby sheep, hidden by the crowd, seized the gap as adults backed off and poked its head under the fence.
Eek! What the—get out!
My inner scream didn't match what burst out.
"Hiyaaaak—!!!"
The sheep weren't the only ones startled. Nana whipped around at my shriek. I hopped back ridiculously and tumbled onto my butt. The hay slipped from my hand, arcing in slow-mo...
And then hay rain poured down the experience area.
In the corner of my vision, smashed into the dirt floor, I spotted Nana's camera lens capturing it all.
"..."
"..."
Silence hung... then Nana's shoulders started shaking, camera still up. She bit her lip desperately, but it burst out.
"Pfft...! Khk, oh no... Ahahaha!"
She doubled over, rolling on the ground, tears streaming as she clutched her belly and plopped down camera in hand.
After the laughter storm, she wiped her eyes and approached. "Areum-ah, sorry~ But it was hilarious..."
"...Whatever. Let's get outta here."
The stares from other groups were mortifying. Nana finally stopped giggling and stood. We walked the path in silence for a while.
We hit a nearby cafe from the farm. I slumped into a window corner seat, hiding behind the menu. Nana, still smirking, ordered and returned.
In the heavy quiet waiting for drinks, the horror replayed. Insane. Hiyaaaak? What was that girly squeal...
I clawed my brain internally. "I... lost my purity to a sheep..."
A deep sigh escaped as I stared blankly. Even hearing my lament, Nana's shoulders shook with suppressed laughs.
"Areum-ah, sor, pfft. But your scream was so cute."
Cute snapped my last thread. "Cute?! You filmed it, right?! Delete it now! No way!"
"Aw, why~ Viewers would love it! Areumie's adorable side!"
She grinned, turning the camera screen my way and replaying.
[Hiyaaaak—!!!]
I cringed at first. But after a few loops, it was so absurd I chuckled dryly. "What an idiot..."
"Idiot? It's just cute. Viewers'll eat it up, trust me."
Will this really pop? I imagined it uploaded. Before: strict old-school camper crushing dreams. After? Cute girl scared of tiny animals.
Embarrassing, but better than geezer vibes? After agonizing...
"...Keep it super short. No emphasizing."
"Yup! Obvious~ One taste of this image is enough."
"Sigh... Tourism's done. Time for the campsite."
"Yay! But Areum-ah, you really won't spill dinner? I'm dying here."
She'd been hounding me about the menu all along.
"Save it for the surprise on arrival."
"Eyy, a hint?"
"Something you've had before. But outdoors? Next level."
Did I overhype? We left the cafe, strolled back to the car. Now, for the real goal: the campsite.
