Level 40: This Has Romance
"Whoa, how's this person's job a Holy Knight?"
"But it's a healer?"
"How's a healer the same level as us? That's insane lololol"
Level 40.
It was the threshold where the gap between light users and hardcore users became blatantly obvious.
Jeong Hana had anticipated it, but the moment she leveled up and crossed into the new zone, only a sparse handful of people were there to greet her.
Up until now, entering a new area meant arriving at a hub—some village, fortress, or combat outpost—buzzing with a decent crowd.
The tutorial zones were naturally packed, and even at levels 10, 20, or 30, there were still plenty of players around.
But from here on, it was a different story. This was the point where only those truly committed to the grind—eat, game, sleep, game, repeat—could arrive quickly, so the player count thinned out dramatically.
And this part was expected too.
Arriving in a high-level zone as a 'healer' this quickly was bound to draw massive attention.
Players in the village swarmed over, clicking on her character to inspect every angle—it was standard procedure—and some even straight-up chatted her up.
Hmm... this attention isn't half bad.
It didn't make her ecstatic or anything, but being treated like a big deal felt pretty good.
She wandered the village, clicking NPCs for quests with short routes and high XP rewards, staying busy.
The folks trailing her, striking up conversations, looked dead serious.
They already knew the 'value of a healer.'
They got how brutally tough, frustrating, and trash-tier healers were to level— so snagging a level 40 healer like her was a dream come true.
That said...
People needing her and paying attention? Super grateful, honestly.
It made her happy, for real.
But she had zero interest in joining a guild.
She knew the guild vibe would be different—nearly 15 years ahead of her era.
Still, no thanks.
She didn't want to dive back into that messy web of human relationships.
"What the hell! I can't even level up?!"
Ramju Thunder let out a long yell as his character dropped dead yet again.
A mid-laner star from Legend of League, he'd naturally rolled a mage, and up till now, no major issues.
"What the—!"
But today was different.
He'd hit level 40, started some routine quests, wandered a bit from the village to hunt mobs—and bam, sniped by 'enemies' and died.
His killers weren't mobs, not even elites.
Players.
Alliance Union players had taken down Ramju Thunder, who belonged to the Demon King Army.
"Guys, guys! Is this like last time's snipe? Or is this normal here?!"
: [You're the highest level among us]
BlmLol: [Who in your viewers has pushed to Wasteland? Lol]
A few days back, in the level 30 zone, he'd done an 'illegal decapitation.'
Lost of Fantasy let you clash with enemy faction players anywhere in the open world.
No chat with the other side—they registered as hostiles, auto-targeting for full skill bursts.
"That time, they said they'd snipe me, those guys walking from way far off—same deal?"
Alliance players who'd leveled alts specifically to kill Ramju Thunder in Lost of Fantasy had crossed mountains and rivers to do it.
He'd been annoyed at first, but after viewers pointed out the epic trek, he turned it into prime field PVP content—he had that streamer instinct.
"Ah, this is no fun..."
But today? Totally different story.
There was fun sniping with YouTube-worthy flair, and then trash sniping that wrecked everything.
No epic journey narrative here.
Just 3-4 randos swarming Ramju Thunder mid-quest, smashing his head in, then camping the corpse for rez.
No one enjoyed this.
"Guys... if I ditch the corpse and rez, there's penalties, right?"
In Lost of Fantasy, death left a corpse behind.
You ghosted back, returned to it, and hit 'Revive' for full restore.
But for overwhelming odds or infinite corpse camps like this, you could rez at a 'Soul Healer' NPC with penalties.
This is screwed...
The issue? Dedicated corpse-campers wouldn't just sit idle.
"Ah, uh... Daydream around? Or, y'know, Sky?"
Ramju Thunder naturally thought of his streamer buddies from yesterday's session.
Without backup, sheer numbers made survival hopeless.
"Alright guys, lemme try rezzing once..."
He started to placate the chat but cut off mid-sentence at the incoming regional chat.

It was Jeong Hana's regional chat.
"Oh? Isn't that her from yesterday? GutRipper? Yeah? Totally her!"
Half-disbelieving, Ramju Thunder WASD'd at max rez range, pacing his ghost.
Perfect timing—Jeong Hana appeared from the village direction, hammer-smashing the visible Alliance players' heads.
No one beside her, naturally.
RVR—the fiery faction-vs-faction wars—hadn't ignited in players' hearts yet, so no one acted like her.
Everyone was questing; if red enemies swarmed, most just bolted.
"No way! GutRipper! What the—!!"
The corpse-campers never expected a healer to pop up and 4v1 them.
They reacted late to her assault; suddenly 2v1, but she didn't flinch, hammering away.
So Ramju Thunder committed.
"Water! Trade water! Water! Water! Quick! GutRipper water!"
He rezzed at max range; right beside the 2v1-ing Jeong Hana.
No time for chat post-rez.
No party, no mic.
But as if she'd clocked his ghost pacing, Jeong Hana instantly full-healed him on rez.
Full HP Ramju Thunder calmly skill-dumped the sniper in front.
"Take that! Fair and square fight, you can't win! Huh! Lower level than me too."
They were outnumbered 2-to-4, but momentum crushed in Jeong Hana and Ramju Thunder's favor.
Both had higher combat power—clearing every dungeon, hoarding gear relentlessly—leagues above the snipers.
Plus, Jeong Hana timed long-duration CCs (rarely used by others) to control numbers effectively.
"Whoa, GutRipper's a total hero?"
The 4v2 flipped to 3v2 in seconds.
Once Ramju counterattacked properly, the remaining three didn't even fight—just fled.
The gank dissolved in a flash.
Ramju Thunder chatted in his usual high-energy stream vibe.
Not expecting a reply, though—Jeong Hana had been ice-cold consistent.
"Wha—? What?! What was that?! Her line?!"
"Yeah... right... we're all on the same side. Like in lanes—if you get dove or ganked, you help out! Yeah, exactly!"
Faction vs. faction.
Alliance Union vs. Demon King Army.
Kill the reds, aid your allies.
A concept still alien to most.
"This... this has romance..."
