#27. For Some Reason, Only My Acting Skills Have Improved, Not My Knowledge
#27. For Some Reason, Only My Acting Skills Have Improved, Not My Knowledge
History is the record of things that have evolved from the past.
An ancient tradition means something that has built up over a long time and solidified into a custom in the present.
In that regard, our school, our department, could boldly claim to have an ancient tradition.
We university students, the final tech in the learning ground of knowledge, could also be called Seonbi.
Seonbi endlessly explore and devour the words and wisdom of their predecessors, accumulating knowledge.
We modern Seonbi are the same.

Behold. How could you not shed tears of emotion seeing these accumulated records?
Moreover, a Seonbi's duty doesn't end with learning.
There's also the duty of nurturing the next generation.
"Sunbae-nim! Thank you!"
"Thank you!"
We distributed history books filled with the wisdom of our predecessors to the underclassmen for free.
That way, we could sync up during discussions.
The new underclassmen had faces full of emotion, but like us, they couldn't beat their sunbaes.
The materials they received were a compilation of history's favorites.
In other words, we have the truly final summarized version of the Past Exam Papers.
After class ended and scores were reflected, how dumbfounded we were when we received them.
We too were incredibly moved by our sunbaes at first.
When Seonbi unite as one heart and mind like this, if you lift your head to look at Korea's future, this must be it. At least, that's what I thought.
"Hmm?"
After finishing the quest, I opened the Seonbi hobby #Hashtag, and something had changed.
They're wearing clothes!
Lee Ina and #Ha Suyeon were dressed in plain white T-shirts.
"Oh!"
They must've gone into the Currency Tower. Looks like they earned enough for two T-shirts.
Players can't see inside the tower. So I don't know what happens in there. Or how they get the currency.
Just that every time the heroines go in, they bring back a little money.
So, to motivate the heroine characters, I decided to add more buildings.
<Character Card pt.1>
<House pt.1> - <Room+1 pt.1> - <Yard+1 pt.1> - <Fence+1 pt.1>
<Fashion Shop pt.1> - <Sports Shop pt.1(locked)> - <Lingerie Shop pt.1(locked)> - <Dress Shop pt.1(locked)> - <Accessory Shop pt.1(locked)>
<Furniture Mall pt.1(locked)> - <Household Goods Mall pt.1(locked)> - <Hobby Goods Mall pt.1(locked)> - <Cosmetics Mall pt.1(locked)>
<Customizing Face pt.1(locked)> - <Customizing Upper Body pt.1(locked)> - <Customizing Lower Body pt.1(locked)>
House tech fully unlocked. I could invest more points to add or upgrade House, Room, Yard, Fence.
But with just two right now, no need.
<Furniture Mall pt.1>
<Sports Shop pt.1>
<Character Card pt.1>
Used 3 points to buy 2 buildings and 1 CC.
CC will arrive by courier soon, so I watched the two buildings go up.
Uurung- next to the Yard, two buildings rose with a rumbling sound. There was decent fun in watching them emerge from the darkness.
Level 1 buildings all have the same design.
Like the existing Fashion Shop, black roof, large windows on both sides to peek inside, door in the middle.
Each door had a sign indicating the building's purpose.
The door only opens if you have even 1 won in currency.
Swook-
I dragged the buildings with my hand and placed them in front of the tower.
Between the House and Currency Tower is a very long road, with buildings on both sides.

That's the layout I made.
Level 1 Furniture Mall only had wooden tables, chairs, dressers at best.
Gotta level up to buy big stuff like beds, sofas.
Meanwhile, outside got noisy, so #Lee Ina and #Ha Suyeon came out the door. They murmured something while watching the buildings glide through the sky.

Not like at first—no anger, surprise, irritation, or depression.
With two of them now, they seemed adapted to life here.
Above all, since #Lee Ina keeps getting called out for mini-games, she seemed used to it now.
Once building placement finished, they started walking down that long distance, chatting like on a stroll.
Deulkeok-
The first place they entered was the nearest, the Sports Shop.

I'm fucking curious what they're talking about, but no way to know.
Players tried all sorts of mods, but nothing cracked it.
Anyway, the two leisurely browsed the Sports Shop.
Nothing special.
Just sports clothes sorted by solid colors.
Windbreakers, long-sleeves, long pants, short-sleeves, shorts, and leggings.
After browsing, they headed to the Furniture Mall next.
Small tables, small dressers, a few chair types, a few hangers, clothes hangers, etc.
No currency to buy, but they slowly looked around before standing in front of the tower.
Then they went inside.

Weekend.
Ina was away for 2 nights and 3 days from Friday to Sunday for freshman OT.
Everyone worried because of the pregnancy, but Ina's stubbornness was stronger. Plus...
With her eyes sparkling like she was stamping "rock," how could I not let her go?
So, with my girlfriend gone and the spot feeling empty and lonely, Suyeon was filling in (forced, but whatever).
"It's about time to educate her."
Suyeon's <Street> series isn't the main heroine route in the guide.
It's actually the position of the teacher educating the main heroine. And teaching that teacher is my role.
Ding-dong-
Ringing doorbell, I pressed the 1st floor door open button.
Even though I gave her the password, she always rings and comes in. I've felt it from the start, but Suyeon's actions ooze refinement.
Opened the door, and she met my eyes with a soft smile, asking.
"Have you been well? It's still chilly out."
"Yep, I've been good."
Her footsteps entering were very light. Makes sense—as her anxiety fades and Psychological Intimacy builds, coming into this house feels mentally comfortable.
She took off her brown coat, revealing an ivory knit wool dress.
Her fair skin makes light colors like ivory look perfect on her.
I stuck right behind Suyeon.
The wool dress hugged her ass tight when I grabbed it, the thick softness yielding to grip her curves firmly.
"Have you eaten?"
No change in her expression even as I groped her ass. Skinship with her daughter's boyfriend is just natural, after all.
She must've told her husband beforehand, 'cause she seemed relaxed at my touch.
"Yep, grabbed something quick."
"Ina was worried, said you're filling meals with ramen. You can't do that. Inmok, you're gonna be a dad soon too."
I shoved my hand deep into the neck of the soft wool dress. Even pushing her bra aside with my knuckles and squeezing her breast, Suyeon's face stayed calm.
The current situation, thanks to #Hashtag alterations, feels like normal daily life to her.
So she voices her mother-in-law worries before anything about the skinship.
"Ramen's tasty though..."
"Still, you gotta eat properly. She said you pulled an all-nighter on homework together."
"Ina slept fine."
Just a month and a half pregnant, she dozes off srrruk whenever sleepy.
Pulled my hand from her breast and grabbed both ass cheeks hard, spreading them.
Even over clothes, the firm, springy feel came through.
"I heard you're helping with sex ed as a side thing."
As I played with her ass over the dress, Suyeon nodded seriously.
Truth is, not much to teach as a side gig.
Housework like laundry, cleaning—set aside a day to teach, done. Unless you're a chef, home recipes have limits. I'll teach new ones as they unlock, but can't do that forever.
After childbirth, more to teach, but nothing to cling to lifelong as a side gig.
Side gigs themselves aren't lifelong anyway.
If not for #Hashtag, just a normal mom and daughter, it'd be real side stuff: babysit when free, check health, drop off side dishes.
Forced to acquire exam-takers' skill, grasping speaker's intent, I clearly read the #Hashtag's purpose.
It's an 19+ game, so side gigs include sex ed for the daughter.
But not generic—customized.
Study the daughter's boyfriend and teach tailored lessons. Something you can study forever, make a lifelong side gig.
"Yeah, watching the video together, I could see it in my eyes."
I vented disappointment about Ina at the cafe before.
└ <Street> route, disappointment can be whatever. Pick what turns you on.
And whatever the disappointment is, doesn't matter.
It's all to expand the side gig anyway.
Heroine characters gather to study together, and with the buildup, Suyeon sees Ina as lacking no matter what.
Daughter's actions in the video all look clumsy and insufficient.
"You saw that?"
I pretended to be shocked and asked back, Suyeon nodded with a dead-serious face.
"Yeah. In the video she acts like it's not, but as we got closer, the disappointing parts started showing one by one."
I nearly burst out laughing.
Never actually disappointed. But since the guy she's close to now says so, she accepts and believes it.
"Worried it'd hurt Ina, so I couldn't say it all?"
"Sigh, yeah, that's right."
I looked at the ceiling and let out a sigh.
Educational Classics class helped in moments like this. Why only my acting improved, not knowledge—but all thanks to Professor Im Geo-cheol's boundless grace.
"Truth is... I have stuff I wanna try, stuff I like, but Ina's my first... so I'm super cautious when doing things, worried she'll hate it."
Suyeon listened to me with utmost caution and seriousness.
One moment of my disappointment could ruin her daughter's happiness, after all.
"Like I said before, tell me all your disappointments. I'll fill them all. And..."
Dialogue details differ, but it's unfolding just like in the Guidebook.
"I'll study first and teach Ina. That way, no worries about her hating it, right?"
As a mom, learn from me first, then teach her daughter.
Ah, Hypnotized Married Woman. Are you watching?
Your guide works not just in-game, but in reality too.
It really came out.
Took about a month. Suyeon's mental strength is strong. Takes time to get close, proves it.
And not forever, but paved the way to teach till I get bored.
"Three days probably won't be enough to learn about me."
"Yeah, I expected that."
Suyeon accepted quick and even smiled.
"I'll keep meeting you bit by bit to teach. My tastes and stuff might change over time. Probably..."
I added, looking at Suyeon with ears perked.
"You'll have to keep studying me."
"Mm, yeah? Gotta do it."
Careful Suyeon had strong responsibility too. With her daughter on the line, she'll get educated by me till I tire, then pass it to her daughter.
"Shall we start right away?"
