Chapter 114: Lee Ji-yu
The setting of this novel is Earth in a parallel universe.
“Aaaah!!! Fuck. Harder.”
The moment I stepped into Jeong-mi’s place on the fifth floor, Ji-yu’s curses came pouring out of the master bedroom.
I had drilled it into them over and over to respect the hierarchy, so I was about to go in and say something when the sharp, wet slap of flesh stopped me. I waited.
Slap.
“Ah!!!”
“I’m the unnie and you’re the little sister. Who the hell do you think you’re swearing at?”
Not a single easy woman among them. Emily’s got a temper of her own, doesn’t she?
Thwack. Thwack.
The noisy slap of skin against skin guided me to Hye-yun’s door. I opened it. Emily froze mid-motion, face flushing the second she saw me.
Her breasts kept swaying even after her body stopped, bouncing on their own.
Magnificent cleavage.
Even Ji-yu, who had been on all fours howling, seemed to feel the shame; she twisted her head away.
“Get out!!! It’s embarrassing!!!”
“Alright, I’m leaving. Keep going. When you’re done we’re going for a drive, so finish up quick.”
“Yes!!!”
I closed the door for them. The moans started up again right away.
Ji-yu’s expression wasn’t quite as good as when I was buried inside her, but she was clearly enjoying herself. Emily looked satisfied too.
Hye-yun and Emily try it once and then just keep using her… A-jeong and Ji-yu will end up the same way. Hye-rim and Hye-jin go without saying.
I smirked and checked the fresh text from Jeong-mi before heading to the kitchen.
I picked up the three-pointed star key sitting on the kitchen table.
A car.
Mine had appeared even faster than I’d expected.
My heart was pounding. Of course the title was under Hye-yun’s name, but still.
I lifted the pamphlet from under the key and flipped through it.
Just the first page made my jaw drop.
It was a sedan, yet its performance was more monstrous than most sports cars.
Twelve cylinders, 550 horsepower?
A monster of a machine.
And Hye-yun was supposed to drive this?
Jeong-mi must have gone in and asked for the absolute best. The dealer would have happily pushed the top-tier package that cost tens of millions more…
Honestly, Hye-yun suits a cute little Mini better than a sports car like this.
I slipped the key into my pocket and started getting ready for the date.
First I opened the fridge and pulled out three water bottles. The fridge was packed solid with them.
Gulp. Gulp.
The water just kept disappearing down my throat.
Three bottles weren’t enough. I grabbed another two-liter jug and kept drinking. Only then did the thirst ease a little.
“Kyaaah… this is pure torture too.”
They need to start producing breast milk already…
I remembered the other life, where I used to suckle milk to quench this exact thirst.
I headed into the bathroom, washed up, then went to Jeong-mi’s room, opened the wardrobe, and pulled out my clothes. A suit.
I bought this with a heavy heart just for the entrance ceremony…
A clean new suit Jeong-mi must have bought today was hanging there.
The two-hundred-thousand-won suit I’d bought looked cheap next to hers; it made my stomach twist.
The shiny fabric had looked good at the time, but compared to this understated one it just screamed cheap.
Honey, who even goes to a university entrance ceremony? And even if you did, nobody wears a suit.
Huh? You don’t go to the entrance ceremony?
I’d figured having a suit couldn’t hurt, but the fact that people didn’t actually attend the ceremony had been a surprise.
In dramas and movies the parents always showed up, watched the ceremony, and celebrated… reality was different.
I smirked, put on a white dress shirt, and dressed piece by piece.
When I looked in the mirror I felt Jeong-mi’s sense of style all over again. The length was still a little long, so I folded the cuffs once and the fit snapped into place perfectly.
Guess I won’t be able to wear that other suit after all… I keep growing. How tall am I now?
180 cm. You will grow to 185 cm by OT—February 18th. After that you will slowly reach 193 cm.
Hmm…
I was satisfied. Finally past 180.
How many centimeters had I grown in just a few days? I smirked and turned left and right, checking the fit. Expensive suit or not, the silhouette was perfect.
While I was still looking in the mirror the door opened and Emily and Ji-yu walked in. Both in white dresses.
“Hm? Whose clothes are those?”
“Mine. They fit Ji-yu perfectly, so I put them on her.”
I nodded at Emily’s words.
Both of them were mid-to-late 170s; Emily’s chest was still a little bigger for now, but once Ji-yu put on some weight it would even out or surpass hers.
Pure white suited both of them ridiculously well.
“You drove it over?”
I hooked the key on my finger and spun it while asking.
“Yes. Almost crashed. Just a light tap and it felt like it was launching.”
Emily stuck her tongue out and scratched her head.
I smirked and walked over to them. They were each holding a coat.
“Where do you two want to go? Let’s do a test drive. It’s the middle of the night, but that has its own charm.”
My experience was mostly from a Damas, but I was a pretty solid driver.
I’d delivered newspapers on a motorcycle, gotten my license, then spent months riding a Damas for the dealership owner’s deliveries.
“Um… the ocean. I want to see the ocean in Busan.”
Emily answered, and Ji-yu glanced at her for a second before nodding.
Busan.
I’d never even been there on a school trip, so I wanted to see it too. Haeundae beach.
“I want to see it too. Emily… no, Ji-yu, you call and book a hotel in Haeundae. We’ll get there around five in the morning.”
“I’ll do it.”
Emily held up her phone, waved it, and left the room.
The clock was already past eleven at night. Reaching Busan would put us there at dawn.
Busan, huh… We’ll spend all day tomorrow there and come back up on the 13th.
“I was going to go look at houses tomorrow.”
“Honey. Just enjoy the sightseeing. We’ll finish decorating the place ourselves.”
Building B, units 2401 and 2403.
Go Hye-rim and Jeong Hye-jin had bought the penthouse, apparently.
They were using the entire 24th and 25th floors. The units below were 45 pyeong; the 24th floor combined two units into 90 pyeong, and the 25th was 45 pyeong plus a 45-pyeong terrace for a total of 180 pyeong.
When I asked how a place that big was even possible in Korea, they said the registration was separate for the 24th and 25th floors so they had to pay acquisition tax twice. That had surprised me.
They were exploiting that loophole to make a duplex penthouse.
“Ah!! Hye-rim says she’s emptying her place so Honey can use it. Since the marriage registration is already done, she’s moving in with Hye-jin.”
“Huh…?”
We talked as we walked down the stairs. Mostly about the apartments. Ji-yu listened quietly to Emily; after all, it would be her home too from now on.
“And from the 19th to the 23rd floor, everything except one unit was empty. Unsold inventory. That one unit is Ha-yun’s place.”
“Huh? How much each?”
“List price was 400 million, but because they were unsold we got them for 350 million with a twenty-year interest-free loan. Effectively just a ten-million deposit each. Jeong-mi just signed the contracts. Under each of the girls’ names. The leftover ones are temporarily under Honey’s name for now…”
“Unnie. So I get a house too?”
“Yeah. Once you file the marriage registration tomorrow, Jeong-mi will handle everything.”
Something seemed to occur to Ji-yu; she turned and headed back up to the fifth floor.
“Why?”
“Honey. I’m grabbing the marriage registration form so we can file it the second we get back tomorrow.”
I smirked.
No resistance to marriage registration at all. I’d been lucky. Too lucky.
You’d think at least one of them would want to live together a while first, but every single one agreed to register right away.
We walked out to the parking lot between the villas. The new car came into view.
From what I’d heard, Ji-yu’s family was even better off than Jeong-mi’s. And yet she was thrilled about getting a free house… her greed was no joke.
A silver foreign car sat in the lot. From the outside it looked like an ordinary sedan.
I opened the door and sat in the driver’s seat; Emily took the passenger side. I buckled her belt for her. It nestled deep between her large breasts and made them stand out even more.
Ji-yu came down a moment later and climbed into the back. I inserted the key, pressed the brake, and turned the ignition for the first time.
Vrrrm.
Vibration rose through the chassis. The second I gave the accelerator the lightest tap the car roared.
Woooaaah!!! Grrrn… pak-pak-pak.
“Sounds good, right?”
I nodded.
Emily really loved cars; she tilted her ear toward the engine and just enjoyed the sound.
The roar and vibration that shook my heart.
I knew I would never forget this feeling.
“Emily, want me to buy you one of these?”
“No. The sound’s great but it’s too much pressure. Besides, Jeong-mi said she has two cars and she’ll give me one.”
I nodded.
Jeong-mi was rich enough to be called wealthy now, yet she still drove a domestic sedan and kept a small sedan for Hye-yun’s practice.
“Unnie. Did you tint the windows this dark on purpose?”
“Yeah. Jeong-mi said Honey might play while driving.”
At those words I looked left and right. Pitch black.
Come to think of it, when I’d walked up earlier you couldn’t see inside through the side windows at all. From the inside you could see out, though.
“How exactly are we supposed to play, Emily?”
I rested my hand on the gearshift and asked mischievously. Her neck flushed red.
“Th-that… Jeong-mi said she’d suck you off while you drive…”
That’s dangerous… though, wait. Since we can’t get injured during sex, it might actually be safer…
If fellatio counted as sex, then the absolute no-injury-during-sex trait meant that in an accident it would be safer.
I do not recommend it. However, it is exactly as Ian thinks.
Yes. Thank you.
It was real. Insane.
Of course I had no intention of doing it just because of the tint, but if we bought a bigger, roomier car, there would be a decent excuse to do it in the back seat.
“I should tell Jeong-mi to buy a van. Then when the girls drive we can do it in the car.”
“Hehe. Honey, I already signed the contracts. Two of them.”
“Huh? Two?”
“Yeah. Honey’s going to have a lot more women soon, so when we go out we’ll move in those vans. Something called a Sprinter. Basically a minibus.”
I pictured those weirdly tall academy buses. Long and upright.
“Well, if you already bought them, nothing we can do.”
The design was pretty unfortunate, but thinking of a Bongo or a minibus made me decide it was better this way.
“Alright, we’re leaving…”
Grrrn.
I wasn’t sure I’d ever get to use all twelve cylinders and five hundred horsepower.
Korea didn’t have an Autobahn. But if we went up to the Northern Three Provinces—especially Heilongjiang—there were long straight roads connecting to Russia with no speed enforcement. I found myself thinking we should go camping up there sometime.
“When spring comes, want to go camping in the Northern Three Provinces? Get a hunting permit and hunt deer too.”
“Really, Honey?”
“Hmm… sounds like a hassle.”
The Northern Three Provinces had been developed purely for strategic farming; outside a few central cities the villages were almost empty. People even said there were more soldiers than civilians.
That was why the highways linking to Russia and Mongolia were so popular with street racers. Almost no speed cameras, and hundreds of kilometers of dead-straight road.
With so few humans, the problem was that tigers kept trying to come down into the Korean Peninsula. Brown bears too.
Their numbers had exploded so much that if you applied for a hunting permit and took a basic firearms safety class, you almost always got approved.
“I want to live doing everything I feel like doing from now on. Hunt tigers, hunt bears, all of it.”
“Yeah. I’m looking forward to it, Honey.”
“Bear hunting?”
Ji-yu seemed more hooked on the hunting than the camping; her eyes lit up and she leaned all the way forward.
I glanced at her expression in the rearview mirror and nodded.
“Hunting is supposed to melt stress right away.”
“Then I like it.”
The irony of human density dropping and animal populations exploding.
That was why animals kept coming down from Manchuria into the peninsula. Of course, if a tiger was sighted in the Taebaek Mountains the whole area went crazy.
I smirked and headed toward Mapo-gu first. Before we climbed onto the bridge an apartment complex came into view, and Emily pointed at one building.
“That’s Building B.”
In the middle of the night Hye-rim and Hye-jin’s place on the 24th and 25th floors stood out even more. They’d left the lights on; it was brightly lit while almost no other units below had lights on at all.
The unsold inventory really is serious. Though thanks to that I got to buy places cheap…
About ten twenty-five-story apartment buildings stood in a row; Building B was the frontmost one closest to the Han River. A road ran right in front of it, so noise would be a concern.
“The noise must be bad. I was wondering why this place in particular had so many unsold units…”
“Jeong-mi said the district office is installing soundproof walls soon.”
Clean design, not the usual matchbox look; I nodded and climbed onto the Gangbyeon Expressway.
Almost no cars in sight. The clock read 11:20.
“Hmm… we might not get there until dawn. It’ll take at least five more hours.”
“Hmm. Then let’s stop at a rest area and eat something.”
“Emily?”
“Hmm… Honey, should I drive for a while? You must be tired.”
“No.”
Ji-yu frowned and answered bluntly; Emily seemed to regret suggesting Busan in the first place.
“I shouldn’t have said Busan. Thinking about it, Honey won’t even get to sleep and will just keep driving…”
“It’s fine. That’s what trips are for…”
At the Meeting Plaza rest stop the two women bought a mountain of snacks, climbed into the back seat, and kept eating nonstop.
Baby potatoes, dried squid, and then a potato suddenly shoved into my mouth.
I must have been hungry too; the salty taste hit the spot.
Emily offered me a cola; I just wet my lips, then stretched toward the passenger side as if reaching for something and pulled out a water bottle instead, drinking it straight down.
Sweet stuff’s a bit much. Should’ve told them to get sparkling water.
“Mmm. Unnie, this is so good. Food always tastes best in the car.”
“Yeah. Korean rest stops are really well done. In America there’s just a lonely convenience store.”
They kept chattering and eating while I gradually pushed the speed up. Speed limit 110.
Enforcement only started at 130, so I opened it up on the empty road. Being the middle of the night with almost no cars made it even more fun.
Vwooom.
The RPM climbed past 5000 and the engine began to roar; the car shot forward.
Holy shit. What’s the zero-to-hundred even on this thing?
I regretted not reading the pamphlet more carefully.
The car was that fast, and the sound was magnificent.
And the feeling of being pressed deep into the seat was pure thrills.
“Ah, Honey, go slower. We’re going to arrive at dawn anyway, so take it easy.”
“Yeah, maybe.”
When their bodies were thrown back for a moment the women let out short gasps.
I eased it back down to 110.
The RPM settled and the sharp, crackling sound faded. I’d liked the popcorn-popping noise; a shame.
Next time I go on a trip I should put a girl who enjoys speed in the passenger seat.
Pitch-black darkness, only the highway itself brightly lit by streetlamps. Silence. That quiet somehow felt good.
