The Rescue
I racked the pump-action shotgun in my hand, shoving one round into the chamber and then another. That gave me five in total.
Damn, but this shotgun really had a satisfying heft. Right now my hands were wrapped around it, and twin revolvers rode on my belt at my hips. They looked a little awkward jammed into the belt, but right now I didn’t give a shit.
By the time I started blasting, forty-four of them were already dead.
I confirmed Ryu Si-a’s location with the surviving Geumseon Apartment residents and headed straight to the building where she was supposedly holed up.
The apartment entrance looked like a battlefield. Bodies were everywhere.
I still wasn’t sure she was inside, but I had to check. I took the stairs two at a time, leaping three steps at a time, and felt zero fatigue.
When I reached the mid-floor, three guys were leaning against the railing smoking.
I picked up the pace.
The moment they spotted me their eyes bulged. As they reached for their guns, Super Sensory slowed time to a crawl.
Just before they could fire, the shotgun blast slammed into their faces.
- BOOM!KER-CHUNK!BOOM!KER-CHUNK!BOOM!
After three rapid shots their bodies were literally slammed backward into the wall. One guy’s head was completely gone. The other two had their heads vaporized. Blood was gushing from the stumps of their necks like fountains.
Close-range shotgun firepower was just ridiculous.
I was racking the next round when loud gunfire echoed from above. Probably more of them shooting at each other.
I kept climbing. Ahead, I saw a door starting to open. I focused and let time slow down again. My movements ground to a halt as I sprinted forward with the shotgun.
The instant the door opened I fired point-blank into their faces.
One guy, two guys… in the slowed time their heads flew off and blood droplets scattered through the air.
When time snapped back I’d already put all five rounds down. There were still plenty of them left.
I shoved my body behind the doorway, dropped the shotgun, and drew the revolvers.
“W-what the hell is that?!”
“H-how the fuck did you shoot that fast?!”
“Fast? Haha, yeah, it was basically point-blank. Theory says I racked and fired with almost zero delay. Even a high-level expert couldn’t do that speed.”
“That bastard! It’s him! The one we killed back then!”
Five guys were gone in the blink of an eye and the ones hiding inside the apartment stayed put.
“What? You killed him and he’s here? That’s some dumb shit.”
“The guy wearing a helmet at Geumseon Apartment! I remember him perfectly—he was pretty hot. Boss crushed his skull, remember?”
“He’s dead. Stop bullshitting.”
The moment I showed my face they panicked. I decided to let them see just how far I could come back.
“Remember me? I came back from the dead.”
I deliberately stepped forward so they could see my face clearly.
The guys stared at me with wide eyes. The one wearing sunglasses—the bastard who’d blown my face apart—looked like he was about to shit himself.
“W-what the fuck are you?!”
He swung the shotgun up and fired straight at my face. Because of the slowed time I barely moved and the shot grazed the side of my face.
- BOOM!BOOM!BOOM!
Wait, what the hell? That shotgun was fully automatic. I’d never seen one that could fire without pumping. It had to be a different gun.
The remaining ones were still fighting each other behind the door and inside the apartment.
In close range even slowed time wasn’t enough to let me dodge perfectly. I looked at the corpse lying beside me. This guy was wearing police-issue armor. Might be enough.
I scooped him up, crouched, and used him like a shield. Then I charged forward.
In the slowed time I heard their dragging, groaning voices.
“Mi… min… son… da…”
The shotgun blast tore into them. Small pellets punched into the corpse’s chest and stomach at the exact moment my revolver fired at the survivors’ foreheads.
- BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!
I hurled the corpse aside, sprinted past the survivors, and kept firing. I dropped six of them in a heartbeat.
Only three left. I switched revolvers and sprinted forward again.
The shotgun blast from the sunglasses guy had hit my left shoulder dead-on. Left hand was fine, though.
I put two perfect headshots into his subordinates, then stepped right beside the sunglasses guy and fired straight into his forehead.
“Drop the gun. It’s over.”
Even though I couldn’t see his eyes clearly because of the sunglasses, his hands and body were trembling.
Fear and rage were clearly mixed in there.
He tossed the shotgun to the floor.
“You… gonna kill me?”
“If you wanted me to kill you, you’d have put a bullet in your head already.”
His belt actually had police-issue cuffs. I snatched them, locked his arms behind his back, and cuffed him. Then I forced him to his knees.
“How… you said I shot you and blew your head off. Were you twins?”
“Yeah. I’m the older twin. I came to avenge my brother.”
I ripped the sunglasses off his face. The glare in his eyes said he still couldn’t accept defeat. He wasn’t handsome or ugly, but he definitely carried himself like a soldier.
“By the way, why the hell can you only fire that one gun on full auto?”
“It’s a Benelli M4. Semi-automatic combat shotgun. Hard to find in Korea.”
Surprisingly, the guy answered honestly and calmly.
“It’s heavier. More modern-looking than the others.”
“Nice. I’ll use it well.”
“But you need to get that shoulder wound treated quick or you’ll bleed out… hah…?”
The guy noticed something was wrong. I’d taken a shotgun blast in close range to my left shoulder and I should’ve been bleeding like a stuck pig, yet I could still move my arm and the bleeding had already stopped.
With Super Regeneration approaching 300, even that kind of injury was basically ignorable. The bleeding had stopped and my shoulder was already healing fast.
I passed through the entrance and into the living room. Several women were squatting against the wall.
Ryu Si-a. It was her.
She was leaning against the wall, arms tied behind her back, top torn open exposing her bra, and bottom completely bare. But her beauty was untouched.
Was it already…?
“S-Sir Seo-jun… how did you…?”
She recognized me and tried to sit up. Because she had no pants she had to squeeze her legs together and cover herself with her hands.
“Are you okay? I came to rescue you. Don’t tell me they already…?”
“W-what? Ah, no. These people were about to do terrible things to the women here… that’s when you arrived.”
“Good. I’m glad.”
I pulled her into a tight hug.
Romance. Pure and simple.
The surrounding women stared at us with envious eyes. The other women were all torn clothes, almost naked too.
“Thank you… snivel… I never thought you’d think that way… I only saw you for a moment…”
“Even if it was only a moment, I knew you were my love. That’s why I came here risking my life.”
“Did you really come alone?”
“Yes. Even alone I can take out this many bastards.”
“No… how… and this wound…”
She looked completely baffled. Then she noticed my bloody shoulder.
I kissed her without a word. I held her waist and pushed my tongue deep inside.
She was surprised at first but quickly accepted and started moving her tongue.
While we kissed I grabbed her breasts and squeezed. My fingers circled her nipples. Yeah, they felt like they belonged in a C-cup size.
“Mmm…”
My other hand slid down to her crotch. She was already soaking wet.
“W-wait…”
She pulled back, clearly flustered. Her face was flushed bright red—beautiful as hell.
I kissed her again.
My finger slipped inside her. She trembled, trying to push me away.
At the tip of my finger something was blocking me. A hymen?
This time I pulled back in shock.
“How… how can a woman like you… be a virgin?”
“W-why are you asking that? Yes, I’ve never had that experience.”
“Why? You should’ve been super popular.”
“T-that’s… please, let’s talk inside that room over there?”
Right. The women squatting in the living room were still staring at us, faces flushed.
They definitely didn’t look like they hated it. They were watching like they were seeing an idol couple. Or… maybe something from a yaoi video.
I led her into the bedroom and sat her on the bed.
“You’re going pretty fast, aren’t you?”
“Why? Do you not like it?”
“No… I like it. You saved my life and it matches the kind of guy I like. But the fight’s not even over yet…”
“Ah… I see.”
Honestly it didn’t matter to me, but there were still people fighting elsewhere.
“So you’re a virgin? Is there a problem?”
“It’s not that… I want to keep my purity for my future husband because of my religion. My parents are very strict…”
Ah, religion is right. It really is.
“Good. Then I’ll clean up this place first, and then we can do this. Deal?”
“It’s a bit too direct, but… okay. Do you really love me?”
“Well, I don’t exactly know who you are or what you do, but right now I really do feel like I love you.”
“Thank you…”
She leaned in and gave me a quick kiss.
I freed the women in the living room, including Ryu Si-a. A few of them were stunning and had great figures—I’d love to try them out later.
One girl stared at me with a flushed face. I squeezed her breasts.
“Aaaah…”
Her breasts were a bit small. Ryu Si-a was watching me intensely from the side.
Once all the women were free, Ryu Si-a picked up her own shotgun and racked it. Now if I wanted to shoot her she could dodge, so I didn’t have to worry.
“Keep an eye on this boss. If you get any information out of him that would be even better.”
I tied him up even more thoroughly—arms, legs, everything—so he couldn’t do anything.
I loaded the Benelli M4. Five plus one rounds. Not great for a semi-auto, but at least the slugs were big. Couldn’t be helped.
I stepped outside and released the people being held hostage in the other building, then headed downstairs.
I sprinted toward the sound of fighting and found more of them.
