Chapter 35: Choi Seulgi
Since I had ambushed them from behind, the standard procedure would have been to deal with the archer first, who was constantly spraying potions while holding the magician. But my enraged brain wouldn't even allow such simple reasoning.
The first one my eyes landed on was the bastard threatening Choi Seulgi with a sword.
‘Tear him to death.’
I truly approached him in an instant and severed his arm with my greatsword.
“Crunch!”
With that sound, blood began to gush from the nameless man’s arm. His arm had been instantly severed.
“Aaaaargh!!!!”
The scream that erupted was incredibly satisfying. But this wasn’t enough to end it. I grabbed his remaining arm and began to pull. Even with the body of an Orc, it wasn't an easy feat, but as I continuously poured magic into my arm and exerted force, I couldn't help but feel his arm slowly, slowly tear away.
“Aaaargh! Aaaargh!! S-save me, save me! Youngwhan!!! Youngwhan!”
“Aaaaargh!!!”
Eventually, his arm was ripped off, and a fountain of blood sprayed forth. Naturally, that blood poured down on me. I tossed the ownerless arm towards the Blood Dagger Clan, and one of them immediately picked it up and began to eat. In that state, I began to stare at Park Youngwhan.
“F-fuck… things got fucked up like a dog…”
He kept glancing around, but he must have known there was no escape route left. Seeing that his comrade, still attached to my hand, wasn’t easily coming to his rescue, it seemed he was truly terrified.
It didn't seem like he would charge at me. This time, I grabbed the nameless bastard's leg. The one who had lost both arms was letting out an incomprehensible scream of “Ugh… uh… ah…”
There was no way my anger would be appeased by just this much. After pinning him to the ground, I grabbed one of his legs and simply ripped it off. Once again, red blood splattered into the air.
“Krrruuurgh…”
The situation had unfolded far too quickly. The magician, in bad shape from the dagger lodged in his chest, was gasping for breath and staring at me. The archer was drawing his bowstring, his hands trembling, aiming at me.
“F-fuck… it’s the Weapon Merchant. The Weapon Merchant.”
At the magician and archer’s muttering, I gestured, and several goblins began to appear. It was to remind them, though they surely knew, that there was no escape. I gestured to Jung Hayeon. As I had instructed beforehand, she was to subdue Choi Seulgi without harming her.
In an instant, Jung Hayeon began to emit her scent. This deadly scent paralyzes not only the opposite sex but also the same sex. I looked back to see Choi Seulgi, gritting her teeth, her pupils slowly blurring. The sight of her, clutching her dagger tightly and biting her lip, as if terrified, made the temperature in my body rise even further. Of course, the three men staring at me with grim expressions were perfectly sane. Because I could never grant them a comfortable death.
“Krrruuurgh.”
“Ugh… Aaaaargh!”
In the end, the archer, unable to overcome his fear, drew his bowstring, but it didn't reach me. I raised my greatsword and began to block the arrows with its flat side, and they bounced off harmlessly.
“S-Seulgi. I think I made a mistake. Huh? Let’s deal with this monster together first.”
Even amidst all this, as if he had any shame, Park Youngwhan held his sword, keeping me in check, and continued to speak to Choi Seulgi. But Choi Seulgi, already caught in Jung Hayeon’s scent, couldn’t possibly hear his words.
“F-fucking hell…”
In the end, perhaps thinking there was no other option, he drew his sword and charged. His fundamentals were indeed solid. If I had been in my body before evolution, it might have been a decent match. But even before skill, our physical specs were completely different.
He swung his sword at me, but I simply knocked his sword away with my greatsword. He even seemed to be a strength-type warrior, which was quite compatible with me. Because there was no way he could overpower me.
“You son of a bitch!”
He swung his sword again, but once more, I knocked him back with my greatsword. His swordsmanship itself was certainly not bad. But the reach was too different. If Park Youngwhan had possessed the agility to close the distance, it would have been better, but he had no such agility.
This time, I approached Park Youngwhan. This might make it easier for him to face me, but my grudge was far too great to simply dispatch him from a distance with my greatsword.
“Kuaaaaaargh!”
A roar burst from my mouth, and my body moved on its own. As if anticipating my charge, he thrust his sword at me. I shielded my body with the flat side of my greatsword and perfectly blocked his attack.
My vision was blocked.
But he was just as unable to predict what I would do.
I quickly reached to the side and casually threw a dagger towards where I thought he might be.
“Shit!”
I couldn’t tell exactly where it hit, but it hit. I then swung my greatsword from top to bottom. My vision cleared, and his distorted face came into view. The dagger had struck his abdomen. Not bad.
“Whoosh.”
I had no intention of killing him with this, so I naturally didn't swing with the force to cleave him. Just enough force to deliver a shock to his body. He would block it, but he would likely collapse to the ground.
“CRASH!”
As expected, his body gradually gave way from the impact. Thanks to the shortened distance, his sword was almost touching the blade near my greatsword’s hilt. I kicked him with my foot, and as he fell, I pinned him to the ground with my longsword.
“Aaaaargh!”
His body was like a butterfly pinned in an insect specimen book. I grinned with satisfaction, and this time, I began to approach the archer. Because the main course is always eaten last.
I had been quite curious why no arrows had flown my way for a while, but then I saw him, caught by goblins while trying to escape, apparently having realized the game was over.
“Kii-rik. Kii-rik.”
As I slowly approached him, I saw the injured magician. I plunged my greatsword directly into the magician’s face.
“CRUNCH!”
In an instant, his face split in half, and brains and blood splattered out. The magician died without even a scream. The archer, still held by the goblins, was constantly writhing.
“Fuck… fuck, let go, let go! Fuck…”
He thrashed his body, but there was no way he could escape. A pathetic sight. I slowly approached, intending to tear his body apart and kill him like the previous one, but then I thought it wouldn’t be bad for the goblins and Jung Hayeon to see some blood too, so I muttered to my clan members.
“Kill him cruelly.”
“Kii-rik! Kii-rik! For Blood Dagger!”
Simultaneously, the goblins thrust their daggers at him. The sounds of thwack, thwack continued, but the most impressive sight was Jung Hayeon. At some point, she had been chanting, and now plant roots began to force their way into his mouth.
“Ugh-aaaaargh-ee-ee-ee-gack!”
The plant roots, forcibly entering, continued to ravage his insides, until they finally burst out of his eyes, nose, and lastly, his stomach.
“Kweeeek!”
A scream that could not be called human echoed, and he died right there. Even I, chilled by the sight, glanced at Jung Hayeon. She wore a refreshed expression, as if, unknowingly, her stress had been relieved.
I licked my lips and, from that spot, moved my steps back towards Park Youngwhan. Though I was strongly tempted to leave Park Youngwhan to Jung Hayeon’s cruel ministrations as well, this revenge was entirely mine.
“S-save me. P-please.”
His ashen face came into view. He continued to beg me, even though he surely knew I wouldn’t understand.
“S-save me.”
I did not answer.
Instead,
without a word, I pulled out the dagger still lodged in his abdomen and began to repeatedly plunge daggers into his body.
“Aaaaargh!”
“Aaaaargh! S-save me, aaaargh!”
The sickening sounds of thwack, thwack continued to echo. The sounds, synchronized with his screams, began to feel like a skilled conductor leading a grand orchestra.
I never aimed for his vital points. Because I thought it would be a great loss if he died too soon. I continued to stab daggers into his arms and legs. Soon, I found his groin. I brought my massive greatsword and began to tap his groin with it.
If he wasn't a fool, he would realize what I was about to do. And naturally, he was no fool.
“N-no… n-nooo… P-please.”
He pleaded, looking at me, but there was no way I would grant it. Even if I stabbed his groin with a dagger, the result would be the same. But what I wanted was psychological terror.
He must have been truly terrified. Even with his entire body already in tatters, he stretched out his barely moving hand, as if to protect that one thing, and placed it over his groin.
“Krrruuurgh.”
I laughed playfully and kicked his arm away with my foot.
‘You son of a bitch…’
It would certainly be painful. Crushing his ‘thing’ completely with a greatsword, there was no way it wouldn’t be painful. I could tell by his ashen face that even just tapping it was agonizing for him. He wouldn’t understand why he was suffering such pain, why this Orc was treating him so cruelly. And I had no desire to be understood.
“Krrruuurgh.”
Being caught by the Red Cross Clan and having his head cut off would be too good a death for him. He would never die comfortably. With that, I thrust my greatsword with all my might towards his groin. I felt no ‘hand-taste’ (satisfaction from the impact). I didn’t particularly want to feel it, and since it was such a small part compared to the greatsword, there was no real sensation of hitting anything substantial.
But the sound that followed was real.
“CRUNCH!”
“Aaaaargh!!!! Aaaaargh!!!”
The pain was so intense that if I hadn’t braced myself, I might have been thrown back. I watched his reaction, a satisfied smile spreading across my face, and began to spray potions I’d bought from the Tutorial Item Shop all over his body. I never dreamed I’d use them this way, but now I thought it was a good thing I’d bought them. Then I remembered the potion the archer had sprayed on the magician earlier, and I forced that potion into his open mouth as well.
As if preferring death, he kept his mouth shut. But I grabbed his throat and continued to pour the potion down his gullet.
Once again, his screams echoed. And so, a very long night for him, and a very short night for me, was passing.
