Chapter 203: Fay's Payday
Chapter 203: Fay's Payday
Fay was scribbling something at her desk, all alone. I pulled a chair right up next to her and sat down, muttering a small complaint.
“Something is wrong here.”
“Huh? What? The mixing order should be right… Ah! There’s no margin in the ratio? Even a tiny error would cause a failure. I should add some moonlight powder to reduce the reactivity… Wait. Then I’d have to revise the recipe from the start….”
Fay continued to mutter to herself, completely ignoring me.
Feeling a bit slighted, I playfully patted her breasts, which were resting on the desk, and asked, “Senior Fay, am I more important? Or is work more important?”
“Kyaak! I-I mean, you, of course, Junior! …Hehe. Hearing that question in person actually feels pretty good.”
She grinned, as if she’d had some sort of romantic fantasy about that specific question. I leaned halfway across the desk, looking up at her.
“Anyway. When I said something was wrong, I wasn’t talking about the recipe. I meant that.”
I tilted my head toward the center of the carriage.
The women were sharing tea and snacks, looking like they’d formed some sort of sisterhood. Even Helena, who had been wary of Carla, Elisha, and Iris because of their connection to the cultists, was now mixed in with them, chatting away harmoniously.
However...
“Since they’ve become so close, why has it become even more awkward between them and me? I thought I looked pretty cool back in the dungeon….”
“Ahaha… Junior, I think it would be good for you to reflect on yourself a bit.”
“Handsome. Rich. Capable. A perfect man loved by God?”
“…Yeah. If you say so, Junior, then I guess that’s what you are.”
For some reason, Fay had a subtle expression on her face as she stroked my hair while I lay there.
What was that look for?
I felt a bit strange, so I spent a moment stroking her chest in return. After a while, Fay’s face turned slightly red, and she suddenly lowered her head, whispering softly.
“Um… Junior? You’re a little depressed because you want to get closer to Priestess Helena but it’s not going well, right?”
“I wouldn’t say depressed, but it’s a similar feeling.”
“Then. You know. Well….”
Fay hesitated for a long time before continuing.
“It’s not Helena, but how about getting closer to a different priestess?”
“What? No, anyone else would be meaningl—mmph?”
Just as I was about to say it would be hard to find someone with as much potential as Helena, Fay covered my mouth with her palm and pressed her lips against my ear.
“For example… me in a priestess outfit?”
“Oh.”
Come to think of it, I’d received a nun’s habit a while ago but hadn’t had the chance to use it yet.
Perhaps because I remained silent, Fay began to press her lips against my ear, tempting me further.
“You’ve got a lot built up, don’t you, Junior?”
“I suppose so.”
“Coincidentally, so do I.”
“…….”
Ever since we boarded the carriage, I hadn’t been able to do anything properly because I was conscious of Helena. Even though this carriage was fast, it still took quite a while to travel from the Academy in the center of the continent to the Church of Light’s main chapter at the eastern edge.
We were only a few days away from arriving… but could I really endure those few days?
Should I just sneak off and do it with Fay today?
As if sensing my heart leaning in one direction, Fay continued in a suggestive voice.
“Let’s do… a confession?”
“!!!”
Those words were the finishing blow.
I pulled the nun’s habit out of my inventory and slid it under the desk. Fay quickly snatched it and tucked it into her subspace.
Only then did she pull her face away.
Her moist lips curved into her signature gloomy smile.
“Hehe. It’s been a while since I’ve had you all to myself. There were so many things I wanted to do.”
“…Let’s do them all today.”
Suddenly, the world began to look beautiful.
*
The carriage sent by the Church of Light was practically a house on wheels. Because of that, we didn’t have to worry about camping outdoors. The interior was better than most inns, and it was equipped with all sorts of convenient magical tools.
For that reason, we had stopped the carriage near a suitable road to spend the night. I held my breath so as not to wake the others who were sound asleep and crept out of the carriage.
“Whew….”
I felt the cold night air fill my lungs and stretched lightly.
Not long after, the carriage door opened again.
Creeeeak.
“Did you wait long, Junior?”
“I waited a bit for everyone to fall asleep.”
When I shrugged, Fay hunched her shoulders apologetically. I wrapped my arm around her and gave her a light pat.
“Hey, don’t look so down. I haven’t been able to pay much attention to you lately, Senior Fay, so something like this is nice once in a while, right?”
“Yeah… thank you.”
Fay smiled softly.
Last time it was Iona, before that it was Carla and Elisha, and before that it was Iris. Even though I spent a lot of time with Fay, it had been quite a while since we’d had some quality time alone.
“Shall we walk for a bit?”
“Let’s. …We should go somewhere where we can’t be heard.”
Fay giggled to herself, looking quite pleased, and leaned her body against mine. I felt the side of her breast pressing against my arm. Enjoying that soft sensation, we stepped slightly off the road.
The night sky was studded with stars. The sound of crickets echoed from somewhere. As soon as we left the path, a landscape resembling a deep forest unfolded.
“How has Academy life been lately, Senior Fay?”
“Oh? That’s unusual. You’re actually asking about that, Junior?”
“Well… I heard you’ve been doing fine since the last duel, but a lot has happened lately, hasn’t it?”
“I suppose. Rumors spread through the whole Academy that I was your girlfriend, and then you went around causing all sorts of trouble.”
“Trouble? Everything I did was necessary.”
“But to me, it was no different from trouble. You almost died, didn’t you?”
When she put it that way, I didn’t really have a comeback….
As I scratched the back of my head awkwardly, Fay gently pulled on the arm I had wrapped around her shoulder.
Squish.
She rubbed her cheek against the back of my hand and continued.
“But it’s okay. You came back safe, didn’t you? Thanks to that, more people have been talking to me lately.”
“Is it…?”
“Yeah. People asking me to introduce them to you. Of course, I refused them all. I’m the only one who can make your potions, after all.”
She spoke with a slightly boastful tone. Since she was in the Alchemy Department, people were trying to make connections by offering to make potions, huh?
“Hehe… thanks to you, Junior, Academy life has become much easier.”
“Oh? Did you make some friends?”
“…Not exactly, but at least I’m not ignored or treated like a ghost anymore.”
“…….”
How should I put it? It felt a bit sad.
Sensing my mood, Fay pulled her head away from my hand and looked up at me.
“Don’t look at me like that. I’m enjoying life these days, you know? I have you, and I have the comrades I became close with because of you.”
“Comrades?”
“Yeah. The comrades who are also on your leash.”
She tapped her neck and then slipped out of my embrace. As I watched her blankly, she quickly hid behind a large nearby tree.
“Senior Fay?”
When I called her name, she peeked her face and her squished, protruding chest out from behind the tree.
“This should be far enough. I’m going to change, so wait there for a moment, Junior.”
“I wanted to watch you change….”
“No! That would ruin the fun.”
“Hmm. Fine. But in exchange, you have to act like a real priestess, not just wear the clothes, okay?”
“…You’re really serious about this stuff, aren’t you? Fine. I’ll try.”
With an expression that was a mix of admiration and exasperation, she nodded and completely hid behind the tree.
Rustle. Shhh.
The sound of fabric brushing against skin came from right in front of me.
Come to think of it, was this our first time doing cosplay?
Just thinking about it, the sounds alone filled my body with excitement and anticipation. What kind of nun would Fay play?
I spent a moment simulating various scenarios in my head.
“Junior. Are you there?”
“Yes. I’m here.”
“Um… I’m done changing, so I’m calling you. I’m coming out now, okay?”
After a slight hesitation, a small figure hopped out from behind the tree.
Boing.
I forced my eyes away from the initial jiggle and slowly took in Fay’s entire appearance.
First, her hair. She seemed to want to look somewhat neat, so she had tied her messy hair into a ponytail. However, she couldn’t give up her bangs, which still covered half of her dark eyes.
Her skin was flushed as if she were dying of embarrassment, and her lips were twitching.
Moving down, I saw a long collar that covered her neck… and a chest that seemed even more emphasized than usual.
Even though it was a loose-fitting nun’s habit, Fay’s breasts couldn't be hidden; they were swollen to the point of nearly bursting. Perhaps it was because, while the rest of the habit was black, the chest area was made of a different, white material, possibly for elasticity.
Wait. I thought I heard this thing had size-adjustment magic on it….
Ah, was that it? The size of the entire garment changes, but it doesn't specifically shrink certain parts.
I nodded at the suspiciously emphasized chest and lowered my gaze further.
The fabric clung to her, revealing the outline of her navel. And through the side slits meant for mobility, her pale, bare legs were visible.
It was supposed to be a pious nun’s habit, but no matter where I looked, it only felt erotic.
“…Senior Fay. Aren’t you supposed to wear something under this?”
“Mmm. Normally, yes… but you’re going to take it off anyway, right? So I didn’t wear any underwear. Want to see?”
When she slightly lifted the habit, I caught a glimpse of her skin through the gap.
Feeling my reason half-vanish at the sight, I slammed my hand against the tree behind Fay.
Thud!
“Hiek!”
Fay flinched at the sudden wall-slam, but I ignored it and continued.
“To call me out in the middle of the night, and to such a deserted place. What are you thinking, Priestess Fay?”
“Ah?”
Realizing a bit late that I had immediately jumped into the roleplay, Fay hurriedly cleared her throat.
“Ahem. T-Today, well… I called you here to have a word about your usual behavior, Junior—I mean, Brother Yandel!”
It was a strange way of speaking, half-mixed with her original tone. Looking at the way she kept glancing up at me, I was certain.
It was going to be hard to keep this "moderate."
