Prologue
Jihun sat on the sofa, glancing over at the clock.
It was 9:59 p.m.
The second hand swept forward, and the instant it struck ten o'clock sharp—
Ding-dong.
The doorbell rang, right on cue, as it always did.
Again, huh...
Moving with the unhurried ease of long familiarity, Jihun rose from the sofa and walked to the front door. He opened it, and there on the threshold sat a massive rectangular cardboard box.
"Hmm..."
He scratched his cheek, then grabbed the box and dragged it inside, the bottom scraping across the floor. Tearing off the tape, he opened the sealed carton.
Inside, a girl a hundred and fifty centimeters tall lay in a relaxed pose. Brilliantly shimmering silver hair. Eyes as blue as gemstones. A faint smile on her lips as she rested comfortably in the box.
No—more precisely, it was a real doll.
The silicone texture of her skin, the way she remained perfectly still without the slightest change in expression—anyone would have known at a glance that she was a real doll.
But Jihun knew the truth.
Haah...
There was a person inside this real doll. To be exact, a woman wearing a silicone skin, pretending to be a doll. And Jihun knew exactly who that woman was.
After all—
You're not gonna fuck me today? You're not gonna fuck me today? You're not gonna fuck me today?
Thanks to the skill he'd awakened, he could hear the voice of her heart.
And the owner of that voice was none other than his senior at work.
