Ending Maker Chapter 119
Chapter 44 - Guardian of the Wild
Morning broke.
The sun rose, and the eastern army began its advance.
The western army—no, the horde of monsters that could no longer be called the western army—soon noticed the eastern army's approach.
"So they come after all."
The old man with the long white beard was no more.
Haragen, now fully revealed as a Demonic Human, stroked his chin with a hand segmented like an insect's.
"Lowly though they may be, they are still called gods."
Even if they did not know much about the Hell Gate, they would have felt something.
"How exquisite."
The timing of their attack.
As if they knew that if not now, there would be no further chance.
Haragen let out a low chuckle but showed no further reaction.
The Angry Rhino Tribe, fallen and turned into monsters, was still under his control, but that was all.
The monsters and demons surrounding the Hell Gate did not heed his commands, and Haragen had no particular desire to command them.
'For we shall all serve the same master.'
Demon Prince.
A true great demon whose power stood out even among titled demons.
Haragen simply gazed eastward.
Breathing in the wind, he looked forward to the battle about to begin—the terror, fear, and feast of blood that would bloom as both sides slaughtered one another.
* * *
Great Storm saw far.
Many things were reflected in his blue eyes.
The Hell Gate, now grown so enormous that its height alone approached thirty meters.
And the monsters surrounding the gate—thousands, perhaps nearing ten thousand.
Cold sweat broke out just from looking at it.
Watching the violet hellish energy seeping from the gate, the monsters prowling the dead land, and the demons who noticed his gaze and glared back at him, he could no longer tell whether this place was the Wild Lands or hell itself.
Great Storm forced a smile.
Suppressing all the emotions that seemed ready to burst forth, he stared at the Hell Gate.
'It's true.'
It was just as Lena had said.
An absurdly mighty being was approaching.
Beyond the violet hellish energy, he could tell that it was approaching directly.
'If we cannot close it.'
If that being were to set foot upon the earth.
The Wild Lands would exist no more.
This land would become a part of hell, filled only with death and despair.
Great Storm closed his eyes.
He shut the Hell Gate from his sight. Merely looking at it felt as though it might drag him into a place from which he could never return.
And he listened.
To the voices of the eastern army.
To their prayers.
Those who sought the gods so they would not despair before the calamity, so they could somehow find the courage to fight.
The wagon wheels rolled.
They drew gradually closer to the Hell Gate.
The moment of a battle that might be their last was approaching.
Great Storm slowly opened his eyes.
And before he knew it, he spoke Blade Song's name.
Was this also a kind of prayer?
Was it believing in and relying on someone to gain the strength to fight?
'Then give me strength.'
So that at least I will not despair,
so that as a Wild God who leads and cares for his tribe, I can fight to the very end.
The wind blew.
At the sound of it sharply passing by, Great Storm smiled.
Because it felt as though he had heard Blade Song's answer.
'Yes, leave it to me.'
Gentle Snow Breeze and the children of the wild.
Great Storm feared no longer.
The wagon wheels rolled, and the hour of the decisive battle arrived.
* * *
Red Gale caressed the Sun's Necklace.
After offering a vague prayer to Solari's sacred relic, which was holding back the curse's advance, he raised his head and looked down at the front, below the hill.
Snowflower Wind Plain.
A beautiful snowfield where white snow had fallen.
It was no more.
All the snow had melted away, and the ground was stained violet.
Covering the earth were vicious monsters, and winged demons filled the sky.
And the Hell Gate.
It stood only a few hundred meters from where he now stood, but to reach it, they would have to break through thousands of monsters and demons.
Red Gale swallowed his breath.
The air, polluted by demonic energy, was thick.
But only for a moment.
A fresh wind blew in and pushed away the polluted air.
It was Gentle Snow Breeze's wind.
And so Red Gale drew another breath.
He inhaled deep into his lungs, exhaled, and listened.
An army nearing forty thousand.
They were gathered, holding their breath.
Forty thousand thoughts, forty thousand emotions.
Red Gale looked to the front. Nine Blades' back rose before him like a vision.
He had burned his life for this day.
Knowing he would die, he had remained and fought to protect.
And today.
Himself and the army of forty thousand gathered here.
'In the end, it is the same.'
Today's battle.
And going out to hunt and fight wild beasts to secure tomorrow's food.
To greet tomorrow.
To protect.
To carry on the flow of life.
'My musings have gone on too long.'
What was he doing getting sentimental with battle right in front of him?
But thanks to them, his mind had grown calm.
And so, even as he watched the monsters begin their charge, Red Gale could command with composure.
"Sound the drums."
For battle had begun.
The flags rose. Hundreds of drums sounded at once.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The monsters charged toward the hill.
The eastern army atop the hill set their shields and raised their spears.
And at some moment.
A storm blew in.
* * *
'It is not a charge. For now, it is defense.'
Red Gale's words.
Great Storm raised both arms high.
His blue eyes shining, he unleashed his power as a Wild God.
Great Storm.
A spectacle worthy of his name.
The wind blew.
Small winds gathered and merged into a great wind, growing ever fiercer until it became a gale. And then it grew again, becoming a storm that shook the heavens and made the earth tremble.
RUMBLE—!
Lightning struck from the sky.
Dark clouds followed in succession.
A downpour poured from the heavens.
The Wild God was not alone.
Behind Great Storm stood the Wild Gods, including Gentle Snow Breeze.
Gentle Snow Breeze added frost to the wind.
The heavy dark clouds summoned rain and lightning. They strengthened the storm's power.
"Go."
Great Storm's body rose into the air. His eyes blazed, and blue sparks rippled across his entire body.
And the storm charged.
It advanced straight toward the Hell Gate, swallowing everything that lay in its path.
ROOOAR—!
Lightning and fierce wind.
A snowstorm like blades.
The eastern army cheered at the miracle unfolding before their eyes. At the same time, the monsters that had bypassed the storm reached the hill.
"O earth!"
Heavy Step stamped the ground hard.
A rhinoceros in his true form, he was enormous even in human shape.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
He was not alone.
Splendid Tusk, the boar Wild God, lent his strength, and many other Wild Gods stamped the earth together.
What they caused was an earthquake.
The ground split in a straight line along the hill, and soon the fissure spread toward the Hell Gate.
RUMBLE—!
The charging monsters fell into the fissure.
The earth heaved upward and became a wall.
Storm and earthquake.
Disasters summoned by the Wild Gods.
And then Red Gale raised his hand. At last, he gave the command.
"Fire!"
Dozens of flags shot up at once. The eastern army positioned behind the raised wall obeyed the order.
Red Wind loosed her bow.
Sun Song, beside her, hurled a spear, and more than ten thousand arrows and javelins covered the sky.
WHOOOOSH—!
A rain of arrows poured down where the storm had passed. A shower of spears covered the heads of monsters and demons.
"SKREE! GACK!"
The monsters running and leaping over the fissure toppled. There was no way to avoid the rain of arrows covering the sky.
But it was not enough.
Only some had fallen. Most of the monsters ignored the arrows. The demons, as if amused, stirred the wind to twist the arrows' trajectories, and some outright canceled the attacks with flames and lightning.
"Raise shields!"
Red Gale shouted again.
With a rumbling sound, the shield-bearers stepped forward. They began direct combat with the monsters pouring over the raised wall and from the sky.
"Waaaah!"
Battle cries and screams mingled.
A wolf-like monster leaping over the wall died, pierced by several spears, and two warriors of Great Storm's tribe had their throats torn open by a greatsword swung by a demon descending from the sky.
"ROOOAR!"
Some of the Wild Gods revealed their true forms. A giant wolf and a tiger leaped into the battlefield and bit into the demons, and Great Storm let out a roar at the sight that met his eyes.
A demon draped in black wolf hide.
It was unmistakably Blade Song's.
"O storm!"
Great Storm called back the storm that had been stretching toward the Hell Gate.
He spun it around and struck the rear of the monsters hammering the eastern army.
A scene of utter chaos.
Collapsing barricades and dying battle lines.
Monsters falling and howling, demons dragged to the ground and crushed.
Amid the overwhelmingly violent sight, Gentle Snow Breeze's hands trembled. But she glared with wide-open eyes.
At the Hell Gate.
At the sky far, far above it.
"It's enough."
The battle has grown large enough.
A sufficiently large number of monsters and demons are attacking the eastern army.
So now.
Right at this moment.
The sky.
A very high place.
A place so high that it could not even be properly discerned from the ground.
A wooden board was flying.
Three people were riding on top of it.
Yuder looked at the ground and thought the same as Gentle Snow Breeze.
Now was the moment.
"Drop the shield?"
"Wait, let me mentally prepare one last time."
And just in case, let me look at something nice too.
Yuder stared intently at Cordelia's face, and Cordelia tilted her head. Wondering if something was on her face, she touched it.
So Yuder laughed.
Lena smiled as well.
But only for a moment.
Yuder drew breath again. He signaled to Cordelia with his eyes, and Cordelia, who had been touching her cheeks with both hands, nodded and released the shield.
ROOOAR—!
A mad wind blew.
It was only natural, being so high up.
How high was their altitude?
They had climbed as high as possible to avoid detection by the demons.
'Can we really do this?'
'Yeah, probably.'
It wasn't as if they had never done a high-altitude drop before.
Of course, it was their first time doing one without a parachute.
'It's my own plan, but it does seem insane.'
But they could do it.
No, they had to.
'Let's go.'
With that brief word, Yuder leaped from the wooden board.
Cordelia and Lena threw themselves toward the ground right after.
WHOOOOOSH—!
Their speed increased steadily. Yuder himself became a blade tearing through the atmosphere.
And Yuder could see.
The sight of the ground.
The Hell Gate drawing ever closer, and the winged demons covering the sky.
"Nine Heavens Nine Gates."
Nine heavens and nine gates.
One path connecting nine worlds.
Yuder closed his eyes. He roused the black dragon's energy with the Nine Heavens Nine Gates incantation.
He released the four dragons he had become able to command freely, all at once.
"ROOOOOAR—!"
The dragons roared. And they surrounded Yuder.
A golden whirlwind rose, and the four black dragons became one, forming a colossal pitch-black energy.
"GACK!"
"GRAAAH!"
The monsters in the sky noticed.
They looked up at the sky.
And Yuder saw them.
Like a World War II dive bomber, he plunged straight toward them.
"Cry out! Black dragons!"
Let that roar shake heaven and earth!
Black dragon!
The black dragon surged.
The massive dragon energy swallowed the demons. Surging, it carved open a path.
'So embarrassingggg!'
What the hell is that!
The visuals were cool. The black dragon energy tearing through the demons was practically the embodiment of coolness, but—
'Cry out? Cry out about what! Is he a baby?'
Cordelia, her face red, spread her wings of light.
She wondered whether Lena had heard, and if so, how she would react, but she did not bother to look back.
And Lena took Cordelia's hand. Together, they passed through the path Yuder had made and glared at the Hell Gate.
"Stop them!"
Haragen shouted from the ground.
Not only him—many demons shouted, and the winged monsters soared up all at once.
Their numbers were not small.
The eastern army had drawn their attention, but still, hundreds of monsters and demons swarmed in.
Even with the black dragon energy Yuder had created, dealing with all of them was impossible.
And so Lena spread her wings. Together with Cordelia, she gripped Heavenly Judgment.
WHOOSH—!
A reversal.
Cordelia and Lena, who had been flying as if falling, soared upward. Spreading their wings of light wide, they raised the shared Heavenly Judgment high.
The demons on the ground.
The horde numbering in the hundreds.
They saw them all.
Toward those creatures that had even buried the black dragon energy, Cordelia swung the sword. Lena activated the spell.
What they summoned was light.
Heavenly energy.
The hour of divine punishment has come at this very moment!
Judgment Day!
FWOOSH—!
The sky opened.
There was no other way to describe it.
And then it poured down.
From the sky to the earth.
A dazzling golden radiance pouring down!
BOOOOM—!
Light—simply light—a golden flash!
Dozens, hundreds of them pierced the empty air. They descended upon the earth and literally melted the monsters and demons.
"Aaaagh!"
The demons' bodies burned.
Swept up in the light, they screamed.
Because they had been clustered together to attack Yuder, none of the hundreds of monsters and demons could escape Judgment Day.
BOOOOM—!
It was a tremendous sight.
A terrifying power.
Light that annihilated evil.
Heavenly energy poured into a place brimming with hellish power.
The true power of Heavenly Judgment, which could be unleashed because Lena, a Holy Angel, was present.
"RAAAAAH!"
The entire eastern army roared as one.
The entire battlefield froze for an instant at the overwhelming sight.
The monsters and demons who had been pounding the eastern army stared blankly up at the heavenly light.
"Wow."
Yuder was the same.
Wrapped in the black dragon's energy, Yuder looked up at the sky and did not hide his admiration.
Judgment Day was a power that burned evil.
It did not harm Yuder at all, allowing him to clearly see the light pouring from the sky and the two angels within it.
And what followed.
The reason Cordelia had insisted on joining the first Judgment.
It was not because of the rings of light that appeared in succession around Cordelia's chest.
Leveling up was leveling up, but there was a more important reason.
The battlefield had been swept clean.
And so the Hell Gate was fully exposed.
Cordelia, who had exhausted her power on the first Judgment Day, let go of the Heavenly Judgment.
Lena focused all her power into the Heavenly Judgment.
She would attack the Hell Gate directly.
She would pour heavenly power into the gate—far larger than the one at Endymion—to damage and weaken it, reducing it to a size that could be sealed.
"Block it—!"
Haragen shouted from the ground.
Several demons shouted.
Some of the demons fighting the eastern army hurled themselves toward the Hell Gate.
But they were too far away.
At this moment, there was nothing between Lena and the Hell Gate.
"O power of judgment."
Lena poured out everything she had.
Instead of a Judgment Day that covered the ground, she fired a single concentrated beam of light at the Hell Gate.
With this, she would break the Hell Gate.
Half-destroy it and shrink it.
Then Cordelia would use the remaining angelic power to perform the sealing spell.
Close the Hell Gate and stop their ambition.
The light advanced.
An instant, a moment.
Yet in that frozen instant, it seemed as though the light would never arrive.
Haragen thrashed.
The demons turned their eyes toward the pouring heavenly power. They did not even dare face it.
And at that moment.
Just as the power of judgment was about to collide with the Hell Gate.
Yuder saw it.
Something surging up from the Hell Gate.
Something that squeezed through the instant and collided head-on with the power of judgment.
BOOOOM—!
The light exploded.
A tremendous flash paralyzed the vision of everyone on the battlefield.
But Yuder could tell.
Lena could sense it instinctively.
A Demon Prince.
An Archduke of the Demon Realm!
BOOM!
The power of judgment shattered.
It did not reach the Hell Gate.
Cordelia forced her eyes open and looked at the Hell Gate.
And she could see it.
A huge black arm squeezing out through the Hell Gate.
A demon's hand.
That thing had stopped the power of judgment. It had protected the Hell Gate.
Truly a hair's breadth.
The demon's hand burst into flames. With a thud, it dropped to the ground.
But it did not break. It did not vanish.
Rather, it stirred up violet energy again and attacked Lena, who stood utterly exhausted.
"Lena!"
Cordelia urgently threw herself forward and shoved Lena aside.
The violet sphere fired by the Demon Prince pierced the empty air, annihilating everything it touched.
'Purple Sun!'
One of the highest-tier spells, beyond all but the most accomplished human archmages.
Though small in scale, it was unmistakably Purple Sun. The Demon Prince had instantly manifested a terrifying magic of destruction.
'No.'
Cordelia looked at the ground again.
The Demon Prince had not yet passed through the Hell Gate. What had emerged was only an arm, and that arm had also suffered massive damage in blocking the power of judgment.
It had managed a counterattack, but that was all. As if proving it, the creature's arm merely hung limp and did not unleash magic again.
But Lena's face turned ashen.
Part of it was that she had exhausted too much power, but it was also because she felt despair in the current situation.
'There's no other way now.'
She had put all her power into that one strike.
She had no strength left.
She had stopped the Demon Prince's right arm, but now time was on their side.
With Lena's own power alone, she could not stop the Demon Prince.
With Cordelia's power, she could not close a Hell Gate that enormous.
"Lena!"
Cordelia shouted.
She flew higher to avoid the attacks of the emboldened monsters and demons.
Holding Lena close, she cast her gaze to the ground. It was to find Yuder.
"ROOOAR!"
"GRAAAH!"
Monsters swarmed toward Yuder as he landed on the ground.
A golden whirlwind rose around Yuder, but there were simply too many monsters pressing in from every side.
Haragen laughed.
He let out a sigh of relief, then burst into booming laughter.
Ah, so this was it.
So this was the move you had prepared.
Fine, I admit it.
It sent a chill down my spine.
If the Demon Prince had been even a little later, if he had not pushed himself, the Hell Gate might have closed.
But it did not close.
The Demon Prince's descent would be delayed from blocking that strike, but time was on their side.
The battle between the eastern army and the monsters began again.
Haragen laughed as he looked down. He saw Yuder fighting well, yet soon to be crushed beneath the monsters, and the two angels in the sky.
"So it was you."
The ones who had interfered with him at every turn.
The ones who had forced this choice upon him.
But I do not hate you.
Thanks to you, I seem to have made the right choice after all.
Haragen kept laughing.
He watched Yuder fighting desperately and Cordelia, precarious as if she might fall at any moment.
He savored the sight of Lena, who had fallen into despair.
And Cordelia looked at Yuder.
With one arm around Lena's waist, she fired light bullets wildly with her remaining hand and cast her gaze toward Yuder.
And Yuder met that gaze.
The distance was far too great to exchange glances, but the two looked at each other all the same and, as always, shared their intent.
'We have to, right?'
At Cordelia's question, Yuder smiled bitterly.
'Yeah, let's go with Plan B.'
The contingency prepared for when Lena's plan failed.
Cordelia smiled.
She forced herself to.
Showing her best smile, she drew back her fist. She withdrew the angelic power and unleashed the witch's power.
FWOOSH—!
Cordelia's hair dyed black. Dark red energy blazed up along her right arm.
Lena turned to look at Cordelia.
Cordelia grinned brightly and swung her right arm.
She hurled a black blade toward the ground.
Haragen watched Cordelia do it.
He followed the black blade's trajectory.
The ground.
A fissure split open by the earthquake the wild gods had caused.
The black blade drove into it.
And Haragen realized.
What Cordelia was trying to do.
So he burst out laughing. He mocked Cordelia's foolishness.
"You fool."
Yes, a Dragon Vein flowed through Snowflower Wind Plain too.
But that was all.
There was no Dragon Vein Spring here.
Whether she made the Dragon Vein run wild or whatever, only a small explosion would occur.
No matter what she did, the Hell Gate would remain intact.
He was not wrong.
It was a sound judgment.
And so Yuder and Cordelia knew it too.
"Boom."
Cordelia said.
And a small explosion occurred.
Still, because it had touched part of the Dragon Vein, the ground shook.
The explosion was strong enough to make the monsters swarming toward Yuder hesitate for an instant.
And that was all.
Something that should have ended with just that.
But it did not.
Cordelia did not lose her smile.
Because this was only the beginning.
Because she had only pulled the trigger.
What Yuder and Cordelia had prepared.
What they had intended to do before learning of Lena's resurrection.
"My Yuder is amazing."
Cordelia said, and Lena blinked.
Haragen glared at Cordelia again.
One.
And two.
Cordelia, who had been counting down, grinned brightly again.
With her best smile, she said,
"Fucking boom."
And the explosion that followed.
Boom.
This time too, it was not very large.
But it continued.
Explosions occurred one after another underground.
Boom, boom, boom.
Something was wrong.
What in the world had happened?
The demons all looked at the same place.
And Haragen realized that the explosions were continuing in a single direction.
That they were 'flowing.'
"Because explosions are art."
BOOOOM!
A tremendous, truly massive explosion occurred.
It was far away.
Not close.
But even that continued. Explosions kept occurring.
Toward the east, toward the west.
Drawing a single line.
Following the flow.
"The Dragon Vein."
The flow.
The thing connected as one.
Cordelia's idea had been simple.
The Dragon Vein was a flow. So let's use that flow.
An idea with no notion of how to use it, practically just passing the buck.
But it was enough. That idea took concrete form in Yuder's head.
The infrastructure built by Magellan's High Elves.
The research facilities established by Magellan's High Elves.
The reason other Dragon Vein Springs had not exploded in a chain reaction when one was detonated was that the distance between Dragon Vein Springs was great.
But if there was something to relay between them.
If the Dragon Vein could be made to cause chain explosions like dominoes.
The Snow Queen was not the only one.
There were abandoned research facilities in the east and west as well.
The High Elves' infrastructure had made the Dragon Vein's single continuous flow much clearer.
Yuder and Cordelia had sent bombs flowing into the Dragon Vein.
Bombs frozen with the Snow Queen's power.
And they had run on their own two feet, making maximum use of Town Portals. They had set every research facility they could reach in time to a state just before going out of control.
And now, at this moment.
They activated Plan B.
They pushed over the first domino.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
In places unseen, far away, explosions kept occurring.
The reason Cordelia had not used the Snow Queen in this battle was simple.
Because she had used the Snow Queen's power to create the bombs that would drive the Dragon Vein out of control.
Of course, even for Yuder and Cordelia, it was impossible to mass-produce bombs to deploy across the entire vast Dragon Vein in only four days.
But it had not been necessary in the first place.
Because the Dragon Vein was a flow.
If they caused a runaway above a certain level, the entire Dragon Vein would ultimately run wild.
Exactly as it was doing now.
RUMBLE—!
The Dragon Vein convulsed.
The Dragon Vein Springs ran wild one after another, and each time one did, the runaway of the entire Dragon Vein accelerated.
The cores exploded in succession.
Deep underground, the High Elves' research facilities exploded, adding even more force to the runaway Dragon Vein.
The east and the west.
All of the Wild Lands.
The entire Dragon Vein!
RUMBLE—!
The earth shook to its foundations.
It was the result of every Dragon Vein Spring in the west and east running wild at once.
The earth's axis shook, and earthquakes occurred everywhere. The wild gods could not hide their shock.
Gentle Snow Breeze felt her sanctuary being smashed apart, and Blue Beard realized that his holy ground was going to be blown away entirely. Great Storm stared at Yuder and Cordelia with a dumbfounded face.
RUMBLE!
Explosions occurred even far away at the entrance to the Skyroof Mountains.
The fighting stopped again.
With the runaway Dragon Vein shaking all of the Wild Lands, the fighting could hardly continue.
Even Haragen stared at Cordelia with a dumbfounded face.
He tried somehow to understand the current situation.
The west was already scorched earth.
The wild gods' holy grounds and Dragon Vein Springs were quite far from the tribes' dwellings, so even if the entire Dragon Vein ran wild, there would be almost no actual loss of life.
But even so, making the entire Dragon Vein run wild?
Blowing away all of the wild gods' holy grounds?
It was not normal.
No, more important than that was the other side.
Why in the world.
What could they possibly gain from all this?
Great Storm understood.
So even as he spat curses, he could not help but laugh.
"Crazy bastards."
But they were our crazy bastards.
Gentle Snow Breeze understood too. Blue Beard realized as well.
The entire Dragon Vein had run wild.
The land was so vast that explosions were still continuing, but in any case, the Dragon Vein had been purified by it. It had shaken off the hellish energy through the explosions.
And the result.
The one who awakened because of it.
ROOOOOAR—!
A roar burst from the sky.
Once again the sky split open, and golden light covered the ground.
Haragen looked at the sky with a blank face.
Lena blinked, and Cordelia smiled, flashing her fangs.
"Golden Dragon King."
Yuder said.
The dragon crests on Yuder's and Cordelia's fists shone, and the roar continued from the sky.
It was the cry of the one who was both the master of the Wild Lands and the king of the wild gods, the one who was the Dragon Vein itself.
The hellish energy surging from the Hell Gate vanished in an instant.
Snowflower Wind Plain was purified in a single moment.
And lightning struck.
A massive golden flash descended from the sky to the ground, precisely toward Yuder.
"Yuder!"
Cordelia shouted urgently and tried to throw herself forward, but Lena stopped her.
Because as a Holy Angel, she could tell.
The Golden Dragon King had not punished Yuder.
Rather, it had passed on its power to him.
[How bold.]
The Golden Dragon King spoke to Yuder.
It had permitted him to detonate the corrupted Dragon Vein Springs, but it had never imagined he would make the entire Dragon Vein run wild.
[Thanks to that, I'm not exactly in good shape either.]
It had awakened, but it could not act properly.
So the Golden Dragon King chose Yuder.
It entrusted its power to the guardian of the wild.
[Finish it.]
Smash the Hell Gate to pieces.
For the power of the wild shall be with you.
The light blazed.
The monsters and demons surrounding Yuder withered away with screams.
And Yuder stood there.
His entire body dyed in golden radiance.
He had become the Golden Dragon King's incarnation.
"Shall we begin?"
Yuder said, looking at the sky, and Cordelia nodded. Through the dragon crest, the power of the wild was transmitted to Cordelia as well.
Now all that remained was to close the Hell Gate.
Yuder and Cordelia looked at each other again.
After exchanging smiles as always, they turned back toward the Hell Gate.
