A Wardrobe Worth Billions
Unable to answer my words, Mihyeon hung her head and slipped back into her room. I let out a small chuckle, finished my meal, roughly cleared the table, and headed for the master bedroom.
Since I had already washed up and slept at dawn, I gave myself a quick rinse, then stood in the dressing room picking out clothes. Suddenly, Yuna’s scream pierced the air.
“Kyaa—!”
Heh. Even her scream is so perfectly Yuna.
It was exactly like her—letting out such a refined, elegant shriek after sleeping in so late. I stepped out in a thin cardigan that lightly showcased my toned upper body, perfect for the spring weather, and a watch on my wrist. Yuna was frantically throwing on her clothes, so I greeted her.
“You’re up?”
“M-Minjun! Just a second! I have to get to work…!”
“Why the rush? You’re submitting your resignation today anyway.”
“Ah……”
My words must have stunned her; Yuna’s busy hands froze mid-motion.
“What? Having second thoughts now?”
“N-no! It’s not that. It’s just… I can’t believe it’s real… Um, more importantly, Minjun…”
“Yeah?”
“Could you… turn around for a moment? I haven’t finished dressing yet……”
“Ah, sure.”
I turned my back as she asked and waited until she was fully dressed. Honestly, after seeing every inch of her yesterday and even sharing a threesome, I didn’t quite understand why she was suddenly shy about her naked body. Still, that modest side of her was part of Yuna’s charm, so I played along.
“I-it’s okay now.”
“Good. Yuna… Oh, if you need underwear or anything, there are plenty of new ones in the closet. Just wear whatever.”
“……Are they Yeonju’s?”
“Well, yeah.”
“Then… I’d rather not.”
“Tsk. You two are supposed to get along, remember?”
“I know, Minjun. I was only joking……”
Even as she said it, Yuna’s shoulders drooped. I walked over and pulled her into a tight embrace.
“I’m heading to the department store. I’ll buy you a ton of clothes and fill the closet with them.”
“Really…?”
“Yes, really.”
“Hehe. Thank you, Minjun.”
I patted her back gently, then left the master bedroom. Yuna decided that since she was already late, she might as well shower first and headed to the bathroom. Ever since she’d started keeping her own clothes here like Yeonju, her mood had shot through the roof.
I’m going to have to buy a lot.
I mentally listed everything I needed to get as I walked to the living room. We’d need two computers—one for me and one for Yeonju—plus a full wardrobe for Yuna. On top of that, I had to buy everything Mihyeon had asked for. Today’s shopping trip was going to be a marathon… or not. The department store staff would handle everything once they knew I was a VIP. That was exactly why you flashed your VIP status the moment you walked in anywhere.
“You came dressed like that again? What are you, going clubbing?”
“Sorry… I don’t have anything else……”
I frowned at Mihyeon, who was already sitting on the living room sofa, fully ready. She was wearing yet another tight mini dress that clung to her body. With her massive breasts, even a short-sleeved top looked obscene on her. Wearing something this provocative on top of that made her look unbearably sensual. It was fine at home, but I hated the idea of other men seeing her like this.
Still, I had told her to get ready. If I suddenly complained that her clothes were too revealing and made her change, she would be genuinely hurt. So I reluctantly held out my hand.
“Tsk. Guess we’re buying you clothes first.”
“Y-yeah. Thank you, Minjun.”
“It’s fine. I’m only doing it because I don’t like how you look.”
I grabbed her awkwardly outstretched hand and headed straight for the garage. I helped her into the passenger seat, got behind the wheel, and checked the navigation. The department store wasn’t far—probably because rush hour was already over.
The engine roared. Even though the Seoul streets were wide open, I couldn’t pop the convertible top. Mihyeon’s enormous chest acted like a black hole that sucked in every man’s gaze. There was no helping it.
We chatted casually while I kept her completely shielded. Before long, we arrived at the department store. I smoothly drove toward the VIP parking area. As usual, staff rushed over to attend to us. We handed over the car and headed straight for the VIP lounge.
On the way, I could feel people desperately trying to stop themselves from staring at Mihyeon’s body. Fortunately they were all women, so it didn’t bother me much.
I think I misjudged this.
I had to revise my earlier assessment of Mihyeon. Her body wasn’t just a black hole for men—it was a supermassive black hole that drew every eye regardless of gender.
“Welcome~”
Inside the VVIP lounge, two groups of wealthy housewives were already enjoying their daytime shopping. Their sharp gazes immediately locked onto me and the much younger-looking Mihyeon. The feeling was unmistakable.
Oh my, look at that sneaky bitch. Did she lure a rich young heir with those vulgar tits?
What a trashy outfit. Who let a bar girl in here? So low-class!
It was all in their eyes, but the stares were so intense it was easy to read the contempt behind them.
Mihyeon must have felt the typical scorn rich housewives reserved for women like her. She lowered her head slightly and squeezed my hand tighter. Seeing her look like a drenched baby mouse made something surge inside my chest.
Hah. Fuck it. Let’s do this.
There was no reason for a young, beautiful woman like Mihyeon to shrink under the disgusted stares of these old monsters. The only reason she received such looks was her cheap, hostess-style fashion. It was unfair, but throwing a fit about judging people by appearances would only make me look crazy. Besides, she really had been a hostess, so I couldn’t exactly defend her honor.
So instead of words, I would show them with money. There was no better way to shut up people who judged solely by looks.
I declined the complimentary drinks and snacks that came with the lounge and immediately started shopping. I took the visibly deflated Mihyeon into a private shopping room and gave firm instructions to the waiting personal shopper.
“Dress her in the most expensive designer pieces this store has. Show me everything—watches, jewelry, the works. Just be careful with her bust size.”
“Yes, understood, sir.”
My order set the shopping room on fire. Mihyeon was shocked by my words and grabbed my arm, trying to stop me, but she had no say in this. This wasn’t about her. This was a battle of economic power between me and the ugly old monsters waiting outside.
Brace yourselves, ladies.
Wearing designer labels didn’t automatically make someone look classy. There was a line. Half-hearted spending just looked like brand spam. But when you poured real money into it, the person became a walking luxury boutique.
If you covered yourself in ten million won worth of designer clothes, it might still look cheap. But once the total reached hundreds of millions, the aura of wealth became impossible to deny.
And my wallet currently had no limit.
If it was for my pride, ten billion or a hundred billion wouldn’t hurt at all.
“You’re only bringing the most expensive items, right?”
“Yes, of course, sir!”
“Then just dress her in whatever and give me everything that fits. We’ll only take the prettiest pieces with us. Deliver the rest.”
“Understood!”
It was a storm of shopping. I used money like a whip, driving the staff to move at lightning speed. The sheer volume of purchases sent ripples through the entire lounge. I picked only the best-fitting clothes and accessories for Mihyeon, and her entire look transformed completely—from hostess to elegant wife of a wealthy executive.
“We’ve bought enough. Let’s go back to the lounge and have some coffee, Mihyeon.”
“Wait… M-Minjun—!”
I grabbed her wrist and pulled the awkward Mihyeon back toward the lounge. The ugly housewives were still there. They couldn’t hide their shock at Mihyeon’s transformed appearance.
“Oh my, isn’t that the new collection…?”
“Isn’t that the limited edition from the magazine?”
“That man must be from serious money. How much is her outfit from head to toe…?”
“Wow… how did that bitch…”
“Can’t you tell just by looking? It’s the chest, obviously.”
They were whispering among themselves, but my sharp ears caught every word. I sat at a table with a satisfied smile and leisurely sipped my coffee. The old, ugly crowd chewed Mihyeon up with their words, but underneath it all was deep jealousy toward the pretty woman who had managed to catch a rich man.
The difference in their reaction compared to when she had been wearing that club dress was night and day. It felt incredibly refreshing.
“Minjun! This is too much. Return everything right now. What would I do with designer clothes? I feel too burdened to even wear them.”
“It’s fine. Think of it as a gift for all the hard work you do taking care of our house. Don’t feel burdened—just wear them.”
“……Hic.”
In truth, I had mostly done it out of pure anger—a classic case of ‘fuck-it spending.’ But saying that sounded lame, so I wrapped it up nicely. The line must have hit perfectly, because Mihyeon suddenly started sobbing.
“What? Are you crying? Why cry over something like this? Stop. No tears.”
“It’s not that… I don’t have anything like this at home. I sold everything… I sold it all and now I have nothing… Hic… Hwaaaang—”
“Aigoo. So pathetic.”
I quickly moved to the other side, pulled her into my arms, and patted her back. I even used a touch of the Pope’s Aura. Mihyeon, who had been wailing, soon stopped crying.
“Sniff… Haa… Thank you. Thank you, Minjun. I’ll wear them well.”
“Good. From now on, only wear the clothes I buy for you. Understood?”
“Understooood… Hic…”
“Hey, stop crying. We still have more shopping to do.”
“Okay. Sorry. I’m sorry for being so pathetic.”
“As long as you know. Look up. Let me wipe your tears.”
I carefully folded a tissue from the table and gently wiped the tear stains still visible on her face. Our bodies naturally pressed close together. Mihyeon’s face turned a deep shade of red.
Damn. There really is nothing better than a gift offensive when you’re making a move.
Lately I had been deliberately refusing to satisfy her desires, constantly humiliating her and pushing her away. But after bombarding her with luxury items and pulling her in all at once, Mihyeon couldn’t regain her composure. I could feel the heat rising in her head, making her dizzy.
She looked so cute like that I couldn’t resist. I leaned in and gave her a light kiss on the lips. Maybe because it was a kiss worth hundreds of millions, it tasted especially sweet.
“Chu—”
“Mmph…! Mmmph…! M-Minjun…! How can you do this here…! Everyone’s watching—!”
She seemed to like it but still complained, so I simply shrugged.
“What can I do? We’re in the VVIP lounge.”
“Hey…!”
“Come on, let’s go shopping again.”
“Again…? Haven’t we bought enough?”
“We’ve barely started. Let’s go.”
I took her hand and continued shopping. There were quite a few things to buy, but most could be handled on the VIP floor, so it wasn’t too time-consuming or tiring.
“Oh, right. If there’s anything you want, just buy it.”
“It’s fine. You already bought me so many clothes. I still have a conscience.”
“Tsk! No backtalk. If I tell you to buy something, just buy it, ma’am.”
“Hey! I told you not to call me ma’am~!”
“Maa-aaam, pleeease buuuy—”
“Hey…!!”
Smack—!
I got slapped on the back for teasing her, but we only finished shopping after buying everything Mihyeon wanted. She hated being called “ma’am,” but her true nature couldn’t be hidden. She headed straight for the kitchenware section and swept up every pretty dish set and stainless steel pan she could find.
Wanting nothing more than cute bowls and frying pans— I couldn’t understand it, but seeing how happy it made Mihyeon was enough.
After finishing the shopping, I drove back home and dropped Mihyeon off first. We had bought so much that I told her to just leave the deliveries as they arrived and we’d organize them together later. But knowing her personality, she would probably sort everything herself.
She really is the perfect devoted wife… The only problem is that she’s still someone else’s wife.
It was about time to officially bring Mihyeon into the house. From the occasional phone calls with her husband that I’d overheard, their relationship didn’t seem very harmonious. It probably wouldn’t be too difficult.
Alright. No more worrying about the house… Time to get serious about business.
I picked up my phone and called Yuna. She must have already been outside the company, because she answered right away.
“Yes, Minjun!”
“Did you resign?”
“Yes. I finished the handover quickly, packed my things, and left immediately!”
They say every salaried worker’s dream is to quit their job. Yuna’s voice was especially bright now that she had achieved that dream.
But even though she had resigned, Yuna wouldn’t get to rest. In fact, she might have to work even harder from now on. As an incompetent pope trying to grow the sect, I had no choice but to squeeze every drop out of my capable believers. I might be incompetent, but my greed was endless. I had no intention of stopping until the Infinite Celibacy Sect became the world’s largest religion instead of Christianity.
Of course, I would only give orders while Yuna did all the actual work.
Well, what can I say? That’s why it’s a cult.
I silently offered Yuna my deepest condolences.
