Chapter 7: The Silver Dragon Silvia
Elia and Silvia took the dwarf-made coffee machine they loved so much from the subspace bag.
The subspace bag was a specially crafted one made in collaboration with the dwarves using Liria's space-time ability.
Space mages existed in the human world, so subspace bags were not unknown, but Liria's version was on an entirely different level.
Liria's subspace bag was unique in that it could stop time.
“Our daughter’s subspace bag is so convenient.”
“It’s too convenient that time stops. It’s wonderful for storing food.”
“Normal subspace bags or our subspace magic don’t stop time.”
“Hehe.”
Liria's subspace bag excelled at food storage.
That was why it was incredibly useful even for High Elves and Dragons who possessed subspace magic.
Subspace magic could not store living creatures, and food could not be kept for very long.
Foods with expiration dates would spoil.
Ever since Liria had created the subspace bag, worries about food storage had vanished.
Liria, watching the two of them praise her, felt her heart swell with joy and let out a delighted giggle.
Once the coffee was ready, Elia and Silvia each took a sip.
“As expected, it pairs perfectly with coffee.”
“It’s really delicious. Thank you, Liria.”
“There are so many foods on Earth. Hehe.”
Silvia was overjoyed and proud that Liria had brought these foods from Earth.
Liria, seeing the two of them eating with such delight, made a firm promise to bring many more Earth foods in the future.
She believed that combining Selenia's ingredients with Earth's cooking would create supreme dishes.
“Silvia, do you have any thoughts about helping our daughter with her business on Earth?”
“Is the business talk what you asked me to help with?”
“Just like always, all you need to do is protect our daughter. It would be even better if you often accepted requests.”
“Of course. Please leave it to me. I’m grateful that you asked.”
Elia had never considered sending Liria to Earth alone.
She had planned to entrust the matter to Silvia, whom Liria trusted and followed, and Silvia accepted without hesitation.
Silvia did not know the details of the business, but she believed it would be far better for her to accompany Liria and protect her than to send Liria alone.
Elia felt relieved as well, thinking that with Silvia present, Liria would never come to harm.
In truth, Liria did not need protection, but to them she was still a childlike being.
If anything happened to Liria, they would not be able to sleep properly.
Liria possessed tremendous magical talent, yet her physical abilities without mana were poor.
The unknown world of Earth felt dangerous to them.
They feared that Liria, with almost no sense of movement, might fall on the road, and they had to be by her side at all times.
Just imagining her suddenly falling and crying would break their hearts.
“With only Silvia, I think it would be safe to send our daughter to Earth.”
“Just trust me, Auntie.”
“Yes. Silvia is always reliable.”
“Thank you.”
Liria was a little surprised by Silvia’s sudden decision to accompany her, but she felt reassured with Silvia by her side.
Silvia, being a dragon race, had excellent physical abilities and strong magical powers.
Moreover, as a high-intelligence species, she was completely trustworthy.
Yet Liria was a fool, and she had a habit of giggling whenever she saw Liria.
Liria decided to show them her secret weapon, cola.
“This is delicious too. It has a tangy taste.”
“This black drink is the same color as coffee.”
“It seems like it would taste similar to coffee.”
“Don’t be surprised if carbonation suddenly hits you.”
“Carbonation?”
“Are you talking about carbonation in beer?”
The ones who had never experienced carbonated drinks stared at the cola in open amazement.
The carbonation popping in their mouths was on another level from beer.
Furthermore, the incredibly refreshing and sweet flavor was perfectly to their taste.
It could not match coffee, but they decided it was acceptable from time to time.
“This drink is delicious too?”
“Earth has such drinks. I want to see it for myself.”
“Earth has no magic, but science is extremely advanced.”
“Science? Is that the field the dwarves are researching?”
“Yes. That’s right. Earth will be hundreds of years ahead of Selenia in science and technology.”
Selenia had to develop science slowly because magic existed.
Even without science, daily life would not be greatly disrupted if only magic was available.
However, travel remained quite inconvenient.
People with space magic were extremely rare, and even they faced huge distance limits and high mana consumption.
Liria, possessing space-time talent, had no distance limits, while other humans with space magic were restricted.
Dragons and High Elves could teleport anywhere in Selenia.
Liria was no exaggeration when called the strongest space-time mage.
Liria believed that humans and beastmen would find Earth’s transportation methods very useful.
They were still using carriages for travel; how much more convenient it would be if Earth had transportation.
They did not want petroleum engines, however, because they would have to pave roads and did not wish to pollute Selenia’s atmosphere.
Liria came up with a good idea in collaboration with the dwarves.
“Liria, you thought of another good idea?”
“Yes, sister Silvia.”
“It’s so nice to see Liria in such a good mood, sister is happy too.”
“Hehe.”
Liria hugged Silvia tightly, and Silvia could not resist how adorable Liria was.
Silvia sat Liria on her lap and hugged her close, stroking her gently.
This moment was incredibly happy for Silvia.
Liria buried her face in Silvia’s chest, feeling a bit shy, but she could not escape her strength.
She simply gave up and let herself be stroked for a long time.
“Mom, Liria will go to the coffee farm now.”
“Auntie, I’ll go too.”
“Yes. Our daughter. Mom has always believed in our daughter. Silvia, please take good care of our daughter.”
“Yes, Mom. I love you.”
“Of course. Please believe in me.”
“I love you too. Our pretty daughter.”
Liria finally hugged Elia, took Silvia’s hand, and used space-time teleportation.
Silvia thought Liria’s space-time teleportation was amazing.
Other space mages could only teleport to places they had visited or could see, and it consumed a lot of mana.
Even dragons could not teleport to unseen places.
So Silvia had flown all over Selenia, and now she could teleport anywhere in the world.
Yet Liria could teleport to places she had never been, as long as they existed, which surprised Silvia.
When they arrived at the coffee farm, the elves spotted Liria and rushed over in excitement.
“Liria Princess.”
“Liria Princess.”
“Liria Princess?”
“Everyone, it’s been a long time.”
The elves working at the coffee farm saw Liria and their faces lit up with joy.
Silvia was there too, but to the elves it did not matter.
Being ignored by the elves despite being a dragon, Silvia stood behind Liria as if it were nothing.
“Silvia-nim is here too.”
“When did Silvia-nim arrive?”
“Silvia-nim, welcome.”
“I often come with Liria.”
“Really?”
“Was it?”
“Yes.”
The elves said it did not matter.
Yet one elf seemed to welcome her or nod in agreement.
Silvia did not mind how the elves treated her.
It was not sincere disregard, and she knew it was just a joke.
Liria told the elves about her plan to open a business on Earth.
It would not have been a big hindrance to business even if she had not told them, but since the elves considered themselves fated companions with her, she had no intention of hiding it.
Liria’s coffee farm was worked by all elves in rotation, so it would eventually reach every elf.
Even the adventurer elves would return to the farm when their rotation came.
Thanks to Liria, all elves could live a leisurely life.
Moreover, the days when they met Liria like this became the best days of all.
The elves could now hear for the first time about the new business, and they were overjoyed that they were the first among the elves to learn of it.
