The Sword of Yeon Ga
The bus pulled away.
Kim Jun took out his phone and searched for "Yeon Ga."
One of Korea's historic noble houses, Yeon Ga had once commanded twenty teams at its peak, its influence unrivaled. Back then, Yeon Ga was Cheonhondan.
Yeon Ga's decline had begun with the disappearance of Yeon Chung-jae, the genius raider.
Reading that part, Kim Jun pulled a bottle of water from his bag and chugged it down.
"This person's memories and inner power are inside my body."
At the time of his disappearance, Yeon Chung-jae had been the official heir to the Cheonroe Sword Technique.
There were plenty of other raiders who had studied and trained deeply in the Cheonroe Sword Technique, but none possessed Yeon Chung-jae's prodigious talent, and none had come close to the heights he'd achieved.
Moreover, the Cheonroegeom that Yeon Chung-jae wielded was Yeon Ga's treasure and symbol. The sword contained the essence of the Cheonroe Sword Technique, and only by possessing the Cheonroegeom could one properly execute its later forms.
"What an incredible sword. And I just picked it up without even knowing."
Kim Jun scrolled to the next section.
With Yeon Chung-jae's sudden vanishing act, Yeon Ga lost its central pillar and gradually weakened, its roster of raiders dwindling.
Before long, Yeon Ga had shrunk to just a branch of Cheonhondan.
When most people had written off Yeon Ga's hopes, the house drew on its traditional strengths and launched a revival with a unique product: Yeonhyangcho.
Made from dungeon cores, Yeonhyangcho was renowned for its recovery effects and training benefits. You had to reserve it three or four months in advance just to have a shot at getting some.
"Whoa."
Kim Jun could understand why Yeon Ga had raided their own vault to reclaim the Cheonroegeom.
That didn't mean he was about to hand it over. He'd stumbled upon it by chance, but he'd nearly died in the process. No way was he giving up an item he'd risked his life for.
"Even if it's Yeon Ga, as long as Master has the Cheonroegeom, they won't have a way to take it back."
Kim Jun leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes.
The bus sped onto the highway.
