Pink Rules in Action
"…Got it. I'll adjust."
"Second tanker, deploy To Wolbyeok outside the Geumgangmak. That'll block the cold more effectively."
"…Yeah."
It was Do Jin-yong.
An Seong-ho sidled up beside Do Jin-yong and cast a strengthening skill. It wasn't as potent coming from a buffer, but something was better than nothing.
Kim Jun clapped his hands.
"Second buffer, you're doing great. That's how you do it—think actively about your role and move accordingly. At the same time, consider what your teammates in front, beside, and behind you need to do every moment. You have to run through all those possibilities in an instant and pick the optimal choice. That's the Pink style! Got it, everyone?"
"Yep!"
Choi Muhyun, Skyla, and Yeom Sang-taek—who usually replied casually—raised their fists and shouted in unison.
Bang Yun-a instinctively raised her hand too. Only after did she awkwardly lower it.
Do Jin-yong and An Seong-ho did the same.
"Ten o'clock, forty-eight meters—three Stimumlus incoming!"
It was Yeom Sang-taek.
Kim Jun, who had been purely evading, suddenly drew his Cheonroegeom and sliced through the Gelusaurus's legs as he passed between them. Sparks spread through its body, and it collapsed immediately.
Leaping up with Mokhonbo Tan, Kim Jun plunged the Cheonroegeom into the Gelusaurus's chest.
Leaving the now-still monster behind, Kim Jun rejoined the Pink Team and issued the order.
"Snake formation—break through the Stimumlus."
There was no time to protest such an absurd command.
The team leader's word was absolute!
Choi Muhyun surged forward, with Skyla and Yeom Sang-taek following close behind.
Bang Yun-a was relieved that Choi Muhyun was at the lead. If it had been Kim Jun… no amount of Speed Up would let her keep pace.
She just poured everything she had into chasing his back.
When Choi Muhyun veered left, she followed left. When he dashed right, she pursued right.
"Main dealer, don't just stare ahead—watch your flanks too!"
The sharp command came from behind.
"Got it!"
Bang Yun-a shouted back loudly.
"Second tanker, pick up the pace. You're dragging the speed down—it's killing the edge."
"Understood!"
Do Jin-yong again.
"Main tanker, don't hold back. Faster!"
"Yep!"
Even Choi Muhyun wasn't exempt from the critique.
Yeom Sang-taek launched an orb ahead to reveal the approaching Stimumlus forms.
Clapping echoed.
"Main buffer, perfect."
That praise—for thinking and deciding proactively—was sweeter than anything.
Bang Yun-a… resolved to hear it no matter what. For that praise, she racked her brain on what she needed to do right now.
What did breaking through in snake formation even mean?
What role should a dealer play in that?
What about the tanks and buffers?
Above all, what orders would the team leader trailing behind give?
Without knowing why or having proof, Bang Yun-a felt like she knew how Kim Jun would breakthrough the Stimumlus.
So she focused mana in both hands to form fire arrows. She could manage that much while running.
Then Kim Jun unleashed Mokhonbo Dang, surging to the Pink Team's front in a flash.
Even faster now, Kim Jun drew his Cheonroegeom.
The team leader gripped the hilt with his right hand and the blade with his left, thrusting it forward.
Bang Yun-a instinctively shut her eyes.
In that instant, a blinding cascade of sparks erupted ahead—Cheon Noe Byeok.
The wall of sparks slammed into the three approaching Stimumlus. One convulsed and fell paralyzed; the other two staggered aside barely in time.
Bang Yun-a opened her eyes to see the Pink Team threading the gap. She hurled her dual fire arrows left and right.
Stimumlus—vulnerable to fire!
Normally, Fire Arrow or Fireball would prompt them to fire their body spines in defense. But paralyzed by the Cheon Noe Byeok sparks… defense was impossible.
Her fire arrows sank into them with a roar, igniting their bodies in flames.
The Pink Team wheeled sharply, halting before the blazing Stimumlus.
Kim Jun approached.
"How'd you know?"
"…Know what?"
"That I'd use Cheon Noe Byeok to breakthrough the Stimumlus. You prepped Fire Arrows for it. And you even closed your eyes right when it activated."
Bang Yun-a met Kim Jun's gaze straight on.
"You told us to think, right? So I did—and it just felt like that was it. That's all."
Kim Jun gave her a thumbs-up.
"As expected from Medusa's team leader! You surprised me. Even Muhyun and Sang-taek didn't see it coming."
"Just luck."
Imitating Kim Jun on purpose, Bang Yun-a trembled with exhilaration.
Training Medusa as their leader had never felt like this. She'd just been worn out, prodding reluctant members who endured only to end sessions sooner.
"Former Pink Team members—shape up! Pink Team Rule Number Three?"
Kim Jun asked.
"Hierarchy can change anytime!"
Bang Yun-a shouted it with the others, full force.
