Roar of Victory
“Now it's getting better.”
Kim Jun pushed himself up and moved to the side of the blood-soaked Choi Muhyun. He thrust his arm straight into the monster's guts and plucked out the core lodged between the entrails, as casually as picking fruit. Blood smeared the core too.
Choi Muhyun shook his head and slumped to the ground.
Kim Jun nodded toward him with his eyes. Yoo Min-jeong hurried over to Choi Muhyun's side and unleashed her healing magic.
As he slipped the core into his leather bag, the thrill of success finally sank in.
Kim Jun clenched his fist without realizing it and let out a shout—a raw victory roar.
Choi Muhyun and Yoo Min-jeong turned to stare at him.
“That guy's thrilled as hell.”
Choi Muhyun said.
“You did awesome.”
Yoo Min-jeong whispered.
“Really?”
“The best.”
With that, Yoo Min-jeong walked over to Kim Jun.
They had two cores secured now. Which meant Kim Jun had to lure in one more monster. To pull off that insane stunt again, he'd need his body in better shape.
