Chapter 531
Zeke checked the list of mobile bases displayed by the system.
―Mobile Base List―
1. The Ark
2. Triangle
‘The Ark and Triangle, huh.’
Zeke's expression showed surprise at the mobile base list.
The Ark hidden in Death Valley, and Captain Kidd's ship Triangle.
As Zeke expected, while producing new mobile bases was impossible, existing ancient relics could be utilized as mobile bases when linked with Offense Mode.
'I've tried sailing with Triangle connected to the system before. But... does the Ark need to be moved by sea too?'
Zeke asked the system.
"System, can I see the functions of the Ark listed?"
The system responded with a message.
[Functions available to the administrator can be confirmed.]
"Really? Then show me the Ark's available functions on screen."
Soon the system displayed the Ark's functions that could be used when linked with Offense Mode.
Zeke couldn't help but be surprised as he checked the functions.
"The functions are almost identical to the floating ship used in Demon Realm’s Chess?"
Demon Realm’s Chess was created based on the Constellation's entertainment battles, and could recall data from civilizations that disappeared due to past Constellations.
This meant that items that could be produced in Demon Realm’s Chess were actually things that existed in the physical world in the past.
Zeke was reminded again that the Ark was a relic left behind by a vanished ancient civilization.
'So the floating ship produced in Demon Realm’s Chess was the same as the Ark in Death Valley.'
He was newly struck by how traces of the vanished ancient civilization still remained throughout the physical world under the name of mysteries.
The Ark was one of those relics containing such ancient mysteries.
As Zeke examined the Ark's functions in detail, he realized it had even more usable functions than the floating ship produced in Demon Realm’s Chess.
"The Ark can even portal transport on its own? If there's enough karma, we could load troops and transport them to enemy territory in one go."
Using the Ark would give them an advantage not only in battles with the abyss but also in siege warfare with Jupiter.
'I'll need to make time to go retrieve the Ark from Death Valley.'
Zeke ended Offense Mode and decided to reorganize Defense Mode this time.
He felt the need for more thorough defenses against demon attacks after this invasion by the Demon Princesses
"System, show me the list of areas that can link with Defense Mode."
[Displaying list of 'Base Areas' that can link with Defense Mode.]
Along with the message, the Defense base area list appeared.
―Base Area List―
1. Atrahasis's Fortress
2. Dragon Slayer's Tomb
3. Hero King's Resting Place
4. Bird Tribe's Resting Place
5. Giant's Guard Tower (Authority Acquired)
6. The Ark
7. Infinite Tower (Authority Acquired)
Zeke carefully examined the expanded list of base areas.
'Number 7, Infinite Tower.'
The Infinite Tower, the Third Defense Base he had accessed from Aten's Nirvana headquarters, had been added to the base area list.
While he didn't have administrator authority for the tower before, it seemed he had acquired it after receiving the blessing of the Great Sage.
'I've acquired administrator authority for both the Giant's Guard Tower and Infinite Tower. If demons invade this area, I could set up defense lines remotely.'
After scanning the list once, Zeke's gaze moved to number 1.
'Wait, Atrahasis's Fortress?'
He clearly remembered that previously, number 1's name was '???'s Fortress'.
But now the ??? had changed to Atrahasis.
He had heard this name Atrahasis before.
The same name had appeared when the true name of Agamemnon's Mask was revealed.
'Atrahasis... is the true name of the Great Sage.'
And the fortress referred to in number 1 was none other than Agamemnon's Castle in Mycenae.
‘Agamemnon's Castle is the Great Sage's fortress?’
Until now, Zeke had thought dragons built Agamemnon's Castle.
'To think it was a fortress built by the Great Sage, not dragons.'
Now he understood why the sacred artifact mask was here, and why the divine beast Nahuel was in the lake.
Zeke examined the newly opened fortress functions that came with the administrator mode update.
From grand defensive magic circles to various defensive weapons, many things could be summoned.
"If only the update had come a little sooner, we could have perfectly defended against the invasion fortress's attack."
Zeke muttered with regret, then went ahead and set up automatic defense functions.
Even without Zeke present at Agamemnon's Castle, it could now defend itself sufficiently, buying time for defense even if monster waves attacked.
After organizing Defense Mode, Zeke closed the system window and took a moment to clear his head while checking other items.
And at some point, two keys were held in Zeke's hand.
"Chronos's treasure key, and Arthur Draker's legacy..."
Zeke hadn't yet used the Chronos Treasury Key in actual combat.
The Treasury Key contained the authority to use items stored in the Chronos Kingdom's treasury for a certain time by consuming Karma Points.
However, as Zeke possessed Legendary items, he didn't feel the need to summon items using the Treasury Key. Using Karma Points at the shop was more cost-effective.
Then something occurred to Zeke.
'What would happen if I put this in the Holy Ark?'
After confirming Legendary items could be placed in the Holy Ark, Zeke inserted the Treasury Key.
WHOOSH!
When the light faded, the key emerged with enhanced abilities:
―Chronos Kingdom Treasury Key (Enhanced)―
Description: A key that can open the Chronos Kingdom Treasury. Enhanced by the Holy Ark's power, its abilities have expanded to include spirit summoning.
Unique Authority: Treasury Opening, Spirit Summoning
Special Note: The user can summon items from the Chronos Kingdom Treasury and spirits related to the Chronos Kingdom for a limited time. Spirit summoning stability increases when using items related to the spirit as a medium. Consumes Karma Points for causality.
When testing with Jerome's cloak as a medium, the system indicated spirit summoning was possible but warned the medium might be destroyed.
'This could be helpful in battle if I prepare related items beforehand.'
Zeke wondered if he could summon Master Kaisir or the Sword Saint, though their transcendent status would likely require immense Karma, making it practically impossible for Kaisir.
Looking at Arthur Draker's key with mixed feelings, Zeke still couldn't understand why Arthur had left it as an inheritance.
When he unconsciously activated the Sage's Eye while holding Arthur's key, it surprisingly reacted with sparks as Karma data transferred to him.
'This is...?'
Previously, even with dragon's wisdom, the key showed no reaction when received from Baron.
Now, the Karma data was readable. A message appeared:
―Final Chapter Scenario (??? Temple Chapter)―
[Find the Temple of ??? Constellation]
[Scenario Reward: Granting Constellation's Authority]
A map appeared pointing to Troy Principality, home of the Draker family's cradle and lair. This location likely held secrets about Arthur Draker that Zeke didn't know.
Zeke saved the map coordinates, planning to complete the first Final Chapter Scenario before heading to Troy.
As he pondered this, Baron visited his room late at night.
"My lord. It's Baron."
Though Baron was his subordinate, Zeke remained cautious, keeping him close for surveillance.
"Enter."
Baron bowed respectfully upon entering.
"Apologies for disturbing your rest."
"It's fine. What is it, Baron?"
Baron approached and spoke.
"My lord, I have something to report. Recently, suspicious movements were detected from Nirvana."
