Chapter 467
"Can't you hear me telling you to move aside?"
The dark mages of the Abyss couldn't help but be flustered seeing Titus forcefully demanding them to move.
One of them stepped forward and spoke to Titus.
"Th-this is a restricted area. Even if it's you, Lord Titus, entering this place is not allowed..."
WOOOONG!
Before he could finish speaking, a red blood eye appeared on Titus's forehead.
The blood eye's light seeped into the mage's pupils.
"URGHHHH!"
The Abyss mage who met eyes with the blood eye foamed at the mouth and collapsed while trembling.
Seeing this, the other dark mages backed away in panic.
Titus spoke while looking at them.
"The rules of mere humans don't apply to the Three-Eyed clan. Step aside."
He then forcefully pushed past the Abyss mages and entered the restricted area with Ulina.
That's when Ulina spoke to Titus via telepathy.
-Lord Titus, is it okay to do this…?
-Don't call me Lord Titus, call me brother. You are now of sacred blood too.
-B-brother.
Ulina struggled to call Titus brother.
Zeke, who could now fully control the Blood King's power, had awakened Ulina's potential and opened her blood eye as well.
Surprisingly, Ulina's latent potential was much greater than Titus's, meaning she could exhibit far greater power depending on her training.
Though secretly pleased about this, Titus maintained his cold expression as he spoke to Ulina.
-Good, Ulina. This is the Blood King's order. We must carry it out perfectly to show our loyalty.
Ulina nodded at Titus's words while thinking of Zeke.
When she first met Zeke, she collapsed on the spot as her legs gave out from the tremendous pressure emanating from his entire body.
Despite such rudeness in their first meeting, the merciful king even bestowed grace upon her by opening her blood eye.
Titus and Ulina steeled themselves to complete the orders given by Zeke, who was no less than their benefactor.
Watching this from within the shadows, Zeke smirked.
'Seems they don't teach infiltration techniques in Tantra.'
Though they were trying their best, Zeke could see many amateur mistakes.
Fortunately, they were managing to avoid critical situations well by using the power of the blood eye.
Zeke followed the siblings while examining the building's structure.
He also controlled ghost warriors carrying the Green Sword containing Arataso and the Eastern Sword containing Nebilos to check if there were similar buildings or caves elsewhere.
After confirming, all three locations had similar building layouts and arrangements, likely built by Orcs.
Having identified the exact locations, Zeke ordered the ghost soldiers to retreat and wait in the forest.
'The Abyss mages can see through the ghost warriors' stealth with their magic eyes, so infiltrating further would be difficult.'
While thinking about how to proceed with the next phase and following Titus and Ulina deeper into the cave, Zeke eventually saw an area with restricted access under heavy security.
It was guarded by Orc special forces and Abyss dark mages.
And surprisingly, behind them sat a demon in green armor polishing a sword.
Zeke was shocked when he saw this demon.
'That guy... I sense an energy similar to Arataso's?'
As a knight of the demon realm, Arataso could use fighting spirit techniques, the original form of aura, as a subordinate of the 'Clear Green Wish'.
Demons who used fighting spirit techniques could disrupt aura, making them natural enemies of human knights.
'Unlike Arataso, he has horns on his head and looks similar to humans, so he must be from the fighting demon clan.'
Zeke spoke to Arataso through their mental connection.
'Arataso, is there someone like this among the Clear Green Wish's subordinates?'
Zeke shared his vision with Arataso.
Soon, Arataso's intense voice was heard.
[No, this bastard. It's Morgant.]
Given how quickly the name came up, he must indeed be a subordinate of the Clear Green Wish.
'From how you speak, it seems you don't get along well.'
'How could we get along? Despite pretending to be a knight, he has no honor and only uses cowardly schemes.'
'I thought the Clear Green Wish's subordinates were better, but I guess not.'
'Since they're demons, it's hard to expect much, but that one is particularly bad. He commits dirty deeds without hesitation, like those from the Blood and Madness faction.'
'How skilled is he?'
At Zeke's question, Arataso spoke through gritted teeth.
[He's also a mid-rank demon. But he hasn't received a title, so unlike me, he doesn't have his own castle or army.]
'I see, but Arataso, how do you have a title, castle and army despite being a mid-rank demon?'
[..You're touching on a painful subject. There's a complicated story behind that.]
Zeke sensed the explanation would be lengthy, so he decided to wrap up the conversation and hear about it later after handling the urgent matter.
Given that Arataso, a mid-rank demon from the demon realm, had shown power exceeding a Red Knight in the mortal realm, this demon knight called Morgant guarding the door likely possessed similar strength.
'A demon knight who knows no honor. Seems like he could be useful.'
After thinking briefly, Zeke gave some instructions to Titus via telepathy.
Titus approached Morgant's position as Zeke had commanded.
The Orcs who initially tried to stop him flinched and backed away when they realized he was from the Three-Eyed clan.
Then the Abyss dark mages blocked Titus's path and said:
"How did you get in here? You must leave the restricted area immediately."
"I'm not here for you lot. Move aside."
The dark mages were flustered by Titus's forceful, sudden behavior.
Since he was controlling the monster legion with his power, they couldn't treat him carelessly. However, they also couldn't simply allow access to this highest-level restricted area.
Hearing the commotion, the demon knight who had been polishing his sword turned to look at Titus.
He then stood up and approached.
"What's going on?"
The dark mages bowed their heads as Morgant approached.
That's when Titus spoke while looking at Morgant.
"It is an honor to meet you, Lord Morgant. My name is Titus. I am to become the king of the Three-Eyed clan."
Morgant looked at Titus with curious eyes as he boldly approached while knowing his name.
"Oh? The Three-Eyed clan. I heard they were here, but didn't expect to see one in person."
Ancient races with special powers were fascinating beings even to demons.
Most demon summoning was done by humans seeking to fulfill their desires. In contrast, ancient races dealing with mysteries could summon actual devils, not just subordinate demons.
Morgant asked while looking at Titus:
"How did you learn my name?"
"I heard it from the Apostle. When I heard a valiant demon knight was here, I came to meet you."
Titus spoke naturally as Zeke dictated.
Morgant, strong in his desire for honor and vanity, smiled with satisfaction at Titus's words.
"Not bad for a mortal of the physical realm. Well then, why did you seek me out?"
"I wish to make a contract with Lord Morgant."
Morgant hesitated briefly at Titus's unexpected words.
Then, sensing the blood eye power flowing from Titus and Ulina, he licked his lips.
"A contract with me? Do you know what that means?"
"Of course. I know it means forming a soul contract and granting each other's wishes."
The dark mages were shocked to hear Titus propose a contract with Morgant, who was summoned to the mortal realm by Abyss's power.
"Lord Titus. That's..."
At the black mages' reaction, Titus frowned and unleashed his blood eye power toward them.
"URGHHHH!"
The dark mages immediately collapsed to the ground in agony.
Titus looked down at the fallen black mages and said:
"Mere humans dare to interrupt an important conversation."
Morgant smiled with satisfaction at Titus's ruthless demeanor.
"I like you even more. A contract with me..."
"If my soul alone is insufficient, I will offer my sister Ulina's soul as well."
At those words, Ulina behind him trembled slightly.
Seeing this, Morgant grinned and said:
"I am a subordinate of the 'Clear Green Wish', renowned even in the demon realm. I can grant whatever you desire in the mortal realm."
At those words, Titus looked at Morgant with desperate eyes and said:
"What I desire is to become king of the Three-Eyed clan."
Titus continued speaking.
"The heirs of other clans are already seeking other subordinate races to prepare for kingship. But all I have is a sister with insignificant power."
Hearing Titus's words, Morgant nodded.
"You want to become king of the Three-Eyed clan. You wish to surpass the other heirs?"
Looking at Morgant, Titus's eyes flashed as he spoke.
"To become king, I must capture Zeke Draker who has the Blood King's power and reclaim that power."
At the mention of Zeke Draker, Morgant's expression twisted slightly.
"Zeke Draker, the one who captured Arataso."
Titus spoke as if somewhat anxious at Morgant's reaction.
"Would it be difficult to capture that descendant of the Dragon Slayer?"
At those words, green light flashed in Morgant's eyes and green flames erupted from his armor.
Morgant spoke in a fierce voice while looking at Titus.
"Arrogant mortal of the physical realm. Even if you're of the Three-Eyed clan, you're nothing but an insect in my demonic eyes."
The pressure of a mid-rank demon bore down on Titus and Ulina.
Ulina trembled with a pale face, while Titus gritted his teeth trying somehow to endure Morgant's pressure.
Seeing Titus like this, Morgant soon withdrew his force.
Titus, who had broken out in a cold sweat during that brief moment, panted heavily.
Morgant slowly opened his mouth.
"That arrogant Dragon Slayer will die by my hand."
Titus raised his head again and spoke to Morgant.
"...If you do that, I will gladly offer both my and my sister's souls to you, Lord Morgant."
Seemingly satisfied with Titus's spirited demeanor, Morgant smiled again.
"Very well. I shall make a contract with you."
At those words, Titus caught his breath and spoke with a somewhat calmer face.
"I know the Three-Eyed clan's traditional contract method. We need a wider space for the ritual - is there a suitable place?"
Making a contract between beings of the physical and demon realms was quite complicated.
Moreover, since Morgant was summoned to the physical realm through Abyss's ritual, he could face karmic sanctions if the contract wasn't properly made.
Though he didn't show it outwardly, he was quite elated at the prospect of obtaining the precious souls of the Three-Eyed clan.
Morgant looked at the fallen black mages and Orcs in front of the door, then turned toward the door they were guarding.
"Inside there should be enough space to perform the ritual."
He had Titus find the key from the fallen dark mage and removed his own seal from the door.
Titus inserted the key he found from the black mage into the unsealed door and turned it.
RUMBLE! RUMBLE!
The massive stone doors split and opened to both sides.
Inside the door was an energy generation device sending magical power to the gate.
Seeing Titus flinch at this, Morgant said:
"Don't mind that. Prepare what's needed for the contract ritual over here."
At those words, Titus nodded and gestured to Ulina. She then began drawing a mandala on the floor.
As the Tantra mandala was different from ordinary magic circles, Morgant watched with curiosity.
When the mandala was complete, Titus said.
"It's ready. You just need to stand here with me."
Morgant slowly entered and stood within the mandala Ulina had drawn.
When he was fully inside, Titus drew blood from his hand and let it flow into the mandala.
WOOOONG!
The mandala reacted and blood-colored energy began seeping out.
Morgant felt the power of the Three-Eyed clan contained in the flowing energy as he watched it.
'The souls of an ancient race holding mysteries. If I devour these souls, advancing to high-rank demon might be possible...'
That's when Morgant's senses detected something strange.
