The First Stream is Tough
Before turning the stream back on, I'd thought about just playing a game, but no matter how I thought about it, there weren't any trash female streamers who'd jumped straight into gaming on their first day. Personally, I figured if you game, you have to focus, which means you end up talking less, and viewers bail. So after chatting about this and that, and once I figured most of the trolls had cleared out...
"Um... so, everyone? What should we do?"

I checked that a decent number of viewers were left and reopened the notepad I'd had up earlier.
"Ah, got it. Then I'll give you proper answers."
Why introduce myself properly now after skipping it earlier? Because when those trolls swarmed, one slip-up mid-intro could've sent me straight to hell. Of course, not messing up is ideal, but even pros slip in pre-recorded stuff—live streaming as a newbie? No way I'd pull it off.
"Ask me one by one, slowly, and I'll tell you."
I used to be a moderator back in the day and checked eye-tracking spots a lot, so I knew that line—but how the hell did Noona know it? Do girls watch that stuff too? My memories of Seo Ha-yoon said no.
"Uh, um! I dunno, but if Noona says no, then no!"
I laughed with a shaky voice to defend Noona. If I acted like I knew the reference or got flustered, viewers would ship us and spew weird crap.
It felt too late already, but I ignored it and spotted a question I could answer.
"O-okay! To 'WhatShouldWeEatForDinner' who asked—I'm a fresh-faced 20-year-old newbie!"
I squeezed out the cutest, perkiest voice possible. A vet saying that would've gotten crucified, but this post-high-school girl voice? Even I liked it.
Asking age made the chat feel stiff. Even Noona going hard like that—yeah, never ask a woman's age casually.
"Y-yeah. It's my stream, so Noona talk ends here, okay?"
Every few chats, polar bear sobbing spam—why no ban? Does Noona get the VTuber ecosystem?
VTubers keep male streamers at arm's length and stick close to female ones—that's the unspoken rule. Collab with a guy? Gallery notices. Backroom games or calls? Disaster.
"Eek...!"
Just imagining it sucked. Wait, did that come out of my mouth?
"Ah, ack! No, I was drinking water and spilled a bit!"
Anonymous Donor: 1,000 won!
Hmm... didn't hear water. Sounded like something else spilled?
I sighed, checked the donor's ID from that superchat, and hit 1-day ban. Not quick reflexes—straight-up harassment, by the rules.
"Okay, enough useless noise. Keep asking questions."
That's why I hate sharp ones. I smiled at the camera and shook my head.
"Hmm... someone keeps saying useless stuff?"
My warning-not-warning got fun reactions. This back-and-forth banter? Probably why people watch.
Scanning chat, I spotted one I could read.
"Ah, uni? Kinda hard to say, but..."
"Not provincial! I'm actually in a hi..."
"High school grad" hit like it erased all my study grind—almost spilled K University. Say that, and crazies would dox the freshman list for red flags.
"...not a dropout!"
Dox attempts everywhere, but banning now would pinpoint me. Later, after stream.
"O-okay! No more useless talk—keep asking!"
I threw out bait with some aggro to pivot. Letting it drag could've doxed me—spine-tingling stuff.
Without Noona, I'd be modding chat all day. Viewers weren't even that many, but Gallery folks? Insane activity.

Chatting with viewers flew by—dinner time already. Including lunch stream, nearly 4 hours of pure talk. Brutal.
"Everyone? Can we wrap up here and see you tomorrow...?"
"Tomorrow, same as today—around 2pm after lunch!"
Pre-stream, I wondered why trash streamers talked or gamed all day yet streams were short. Now? Silence kills chat—constant talking drains stamina.
"Not sure if you'll come tomorrow like today, but..."
Sad goodbyes in chat, plus Noona mentions—despite her ban threat. That popular?
Gathering courage, I muted the mic, turned to Noona on the bed.
"Noona, you coming tomorrow?"
"Mm... think so? Weekend anyway, no work."
Right, she had a job... or did I? Memories jumbled. Gotta search phone and PC before bed.
I unmuted. "Noona's managing tomorrow too! And I'll prep a game. So..."
I beamed brightly at the goodbyes, nodding. Time for an old-school point: Rare end-stream roll call.
"Thanks for today, Dorian-nim, StartOnceOnly-nim, Demon-nim..."
Back in the day, 100+ roll calls were common—now? Rare as hell. Half these viewers were Gallery-tagged, long-time VTuber watchers. Nostalgia bait like this? They'd return for the next one.
"...and everyone up to you-nim! Thanks so much—see you tomorrow! Luv ya!"
I waved energetically and hit end stream.
End screen up, I leaned back and stretched.
"Hngh...!"
Moan-worthy to outsiders, but my voice? Meh.
"Good job today, Ha-yoon."
Noona's voice from behind—I looked up. Never noticed as a sis, but she looked kinda cute now.
"Yeah, thanks. Without you, today would've sucked."
"Exactly. You worked hard."
"Ehehe..."
Noona patted my head lightly, and tension melted—dumb grin escaped. Felt weirdly good.
