"Our Spring... did you wait for Dad? Thank you so much. Dad took way too long, huh?"
[Woof!]
"Hngguut... I'm so glad it took so long... Really, really glad..."
"Then, wanna play all day with our Spring since you waited so well?"
"Hwaaaang... sniffl... Stop teasing meee!"
(Clip | Download)
"Khrng... You guys are total bullies? Hic, it's still so sad when I think about it..."
"Hng... Think about it! If Spring's dad was old and went to heaven, that means he lived a long life! So that's why it's a relief... Ah, crap, now I'm thinking about it again."

Only 3 hours so watch the full version for sure. Gets all soggy from the middle, it's real good
[Stream has ended.]
I hit the stream end button and leaned back in my chair, waiting for the tears to stop. No matter how I thought about it, I'd gotten way too emotional since turning into this body. Back in the day, I'd tear up a bit at sad movies, but nothing like this...
"Haa, I'm in real trouble."
I muttered under my breath and got up from the chair, heading to the bathroom. My reflection in the mirror was a total mess that anyone would misunderstand.
My eyes were bright red from all the crying, with tear tracks still there—and as weird as it sounds saying it myself, even I thought it looked pretty. Most people look wrecked when they cry, but mine strangely stirred up protective instincts, looking all pitiful like some drama heroine.
"Is this what blue pills do...?"
I stared at the mirror for a while until my face felt even hotter, then quickly turned on the faucet and splashed cold water on it. What the heck was I even thinking alone like that...
After washing up, I roughly dried off with a towel and went back to my room, plopping down in the chair again. The black stream end screen was still up, so I opened Dascode and searched for Danbi's ID from earlier, sending a friend request.
"Hehe..."
It felt oddly nice seeing my streamer friends list on Dascode grow. I'd added some back when I was subbing in small rooms, but most quit streaming soon after.
"Anyway, the important thing is this."
I put my hands on the keyboard and started typing a message to Danbi.
It felt a bit stiff, but for a first contact, this level of politeness was necessary.
Was this the playground streamers always talked about for collabs? I suddenly got super excited.
[Dascode Invite | Pajijik Playground]
With trembling hands, I clicked Danbi's invite link and entered the server. It was packed with big corp streamers, including tons of famous agency vtubers.
My heart was already pounding from friending Danbi, but was I gonna pass out from happiness? I swallowed hard, stared at the voice room with Danbi and Huran-i unni, squeezed my eyes shut, and clicked.
"Oh! You came. Hi Rie!"
"Rie, you here?"
"Ah, hi! Hello Danbi! Unni too...!"
Was I too nervous? My words cut off mid-sentence. First time voice chatting with big corp folks, and I sounded like a total idiot? Plus, they'd seen me end stream... they definitely saw me crying... My face heated up again as I debated bailing from the room.
"Ahaha! Now I get why Huran-i kept calling you cute."
Danbi's voice made me bolt from the voice room. I'd have to go back in anyway, but I was too embarrassed to even try.
"Haa... big trouble."
It'd be good to chat and play a quick game casually before their streams started. Just gotta wait one minute...
"Ahaha...! She bailed after all. Isn't she just too cute like Huran-i said? I'd love a little sis like that."
Danbi's words sent a chill down my neck. No way Danbi fell for my Rie's charm too? I reached out to the safest option—Danbi—since gaming more with Rie might keep weirdos away once we're both big, but something still felt off.
No matter how seductive Rie is, she can't snag a 5-year vet big corp elite, right? Wait... if she turned me and my sis like this, maybe...
"Huran-i?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah, Rie is super cute."
"I was gonna dip after donating to her stream earlier, but she was too cute gaming so I couldn't leave!"
"Ah, that's why I only watch Rie's room during off-hours lately."
I tried to play it cool, but this weird sense of crisis kept creeping in.
"Really? Guess Rie has that charm then!"
"Th-thank you."
Why was I so happy hearing Rie praised? More importantly, why wasn't she back yet... First call with Danbi felt awkward enough, and it was 10 mins before she'd show.
"Uh, anyway, Rie's taking forever. I'll DM her."
"Sure!"
I muted my mic and messaged Rie.
Even as I sent it, Danbi was humming happily—probably over how cute Rie was. She was my treasure that only I (and sis) knew about. But Danbi's college grad, so we won't meet IRL much? As I thought that and went to unmute...
"Ah, hello."
The join sound came with Rie's shy, cute voice.
"Slipped earlier... sorry."
Anyone could tell she'd fled from embarrassment, but she said it so cutely I couldn't say a word.
"No, I'm the sorry one."
"N-no! It's fine! I mean..."
Rie mumbling excuses all cowed was so adorable I might die. Danbi was giggling too—did inviting her to game mean I had another rival to fend off?
"Alright! Everyone's here, so let's talk tournament first!"
I cut in quick before Danbi fell harder for Rie. Sneaky, but I'd get sneaky to protect her.
"Yes, great! Self-intros first? I'll start!"
Thankfully, Danbi replied brightly without a hitch. Didn't know from streams, but her normal energy was like this...
"I'm Danbi, 5-year streamer! Turning 26 this year..."
Winning on age felt good, but her slightly down voice tugged at my conscience a bit.
