A Toy Tossed to the Major

She had never taken any interest in this sort of thing. Training and operations already ate every hour she had. The endless flirting from a handful of officers and enlisted men, Captain Derek among them, had only ever soured her temper; not once had it stirred her. She understood, dimly, that if she were ever exposed as a spy she would be put through every filthy indignity imaginable, and even that did not frighten her. It would only be another kind of torture.
But she had never expected a reaction like this. Her body was unmistakably wet.
She had been sure that if she shoved him off he would only come at her harder, like a beast driven deeper into heat. The major yielded without a fight. Jiyeon fixed him with a cold glare, pulled her T-shirt off, and flung it into the corner.
"I'll take them off myself."
The end of the sentence trembled a little. She hoped he wouldn't notice. The man stayed exactly where he had been pushed, neither moving nor stepping aside. Jiyeon climbed onto the bed and stripped off her pants. She shed her underwear without hesitation and tossed it onto the pile of clothes. She didn't want to feel any more of this. She refused, in a situation this wretched, to cling to Major Louis and cry out in pleasure.
Nothing covered her now. Without a word she turned away from the major, who was only watching her, and lay down straight on the bed. Slowly, she spread her legs.
"Go ahead."
Silence held for a moment. She had expected something from him—anger, or heat—but he gave her nothing. Puzzled, Jiyeon turned her eyes toward Louis. In the same instant her jaw was seized.
"……You always do it this way."
Louis was glaring at her, eyes burning. He was furious. She had never seen Major Louis lose his composure before. His large body climbed over her naked one. The grip on her jaw ached, sharp and bright. Those broad shoulders and that massive frame left her feeling trapped beneath him, unable to move.
"You always make it wretched. If you don't even mean to, the crime is worse."
A rough kiss followed. He bit her lip, and Jiyeon frowned before she could stop herself.
"But today isn't going to go the way you want, Lieutenant."
The hand that had held her jaw pushed her already open legs wider still. His body settled between them.
The major undid his shirt and stripped it off. Dog tags lay against hard muscle. The man's body was a weapon in itself. Not an ounce of spare flesh—smooth muscle, threatening and magnificent at once.
His pants slipped down just enough to show black briefs. Unlike her, completely bare, the major was only slightly disheveled, but Jiyeon had never once pictured a scene like this, and her grip on reality thinned out sharply.
He drew the briefs down slowly. His desire bared itself, flushed and raw. On a major whose skin ran pale, it was a vicious thing that didn't suit him at all.
Jiyeon lost the power of speech. No one in the battalion would have guessed that something like that was waiting inside the trousers of a man who looked so ascetic.
The whole battalion had been dying to know the major's body, but Jiyeon couldn't bring herself to look any closer. She squeezed her eyes shut. It was far too overwhelming a sight for her to mouth off the way she had at Derek Smith, even as a joke—calling it soft, or saying it would only tickle.
"You were studying it so carefully. Why close your eyes?"
He asked it while stroking her cheek. She hated a tender touch like this.
"Because it's disgusting."
She opened her eyes and spat the words out as if chewing them. The major laughed as if he couldn't believe her. The expressions she saw while their bodies tangled were far more varied than anything she had watched across years of running operations with him.
"Disgusting or not, you're going to have to get acquainted."
His body drew closer. A moan slipped out of her on its own.
"It's going to be inside you often."
The moment she came to, Jiyeon realized she had slept far later than usual. There was no clock in the cell, but her body kept a strict daily rhythm, and that rhythm told her the truth.
She sat up, disheveled, and the shirt that had been covering her fell away. She was naked. Yesterday crashed over her like a tide. It was still vivid, not forgotten in the slightest. Even the breasts she could see just by looking down were mottled all over with kiss marks, and her whole body throbbed as if she had been beaten.
"What a goddamn mess."
Her throat was hopelessly hoarse as well. The beast of a man had tormented her several more times after that. His fluids had coated her until her whole body was slick with them. That clammy mess had been wiped clean. His scent still clung in every corner of her, though.
Jiyeon set her feet on the floor. A sharp ache rolled through her lower body. It wasn't past enduring, so she looked around for her clothes. Someone had apparently wiped her down with the blanket; the thin comforter was already ruined with dried fluids and shoved into a corner. What she had been covered with was Major Louis's shirt.
She gathered her clothes off the floor piece by piece and went into the bathroom. She washed in cold water. Down below she was so swollen she was afraid to put a hand on herself.
That bastard.
That gentlemanly, abstinent look of his was nothing but a mask. She remembered the huge man who had covered her without mercy and crushed her beneath him. Those sharp eyes fixed on her, too. Just the memory sent a pang through her belly, and Jiyeon shook her head to cast it off.
She threw her clothes on carelessly and came out. Sitting blankly on the bed, she felt the whole room saturated with yesterday, and she sank deeper into gloom. The sheets were obviously filthy, so she stripped them off and threw them onto the blanket.
Every time the female soldiers brought a meal, they had checked the sheets like that. Had this been why? The suspicion had real grounds, and her disillusionment only settled deeper. What Louis had invaded yesterday was not only her body. He had pierced her steady mind and her reason and left both of them in tatters.
His sweat-damp face, the muscles that went sharp as a blade whenever he pulled her in and handled her, the low voice, that body moving with the sleek flexibility of a predator. The afterimage harassed her, vivid and relentless.
Until a female soldier came in with the meal, Jiyeon sat unmoving on the bed, head bowed, staring at the floor. The cell door opened, and the smell of corn porridge drifted in. The woman set the porridge on the table and picked up the laundry.
She laid fresh clothes on the bed, hesitated a moment, and went out. Soon she returned with new sheets and set them beside the clothes. Through all of it Jiyeon never so much as looked at her. She only glared a hole into the floor.
"……Lieutenant, would you like the sheets changed?"
It was the first question anyone had offered her. Jiyeon didn't answer. After a moment's hesitation the woman went out. The cell door shut. An empty laugh escaped her. Now she felt her situation with painful clarity. A toy tossed to the major. The most fitting epithet there was.
Major Louis lifted his eyes from the documents and looked out at the city spread beyond the window. Around the headquarters of the 5th Battalion, at the very front line of the Bunker, everything was desolate and dreary.
It was a very long time ago that the environment had collapsed, and ecosystems warped by virus after virus had begun spewing mutants humanity could not handle. Civilization fell. Human rights hit the dirt. As nations whose military power lagged were overturned one after another by the monsters, those with strength and money banded together and built a colossal bunker.
It was a project carried out over more than a hundred years. In this ruined world, the mutants were no longer the real problem. Operations to hunt the monsters were, if anything, on the easier side. Humans, clinging to life with a cockroach's vitality, had gathered intelligence and mapped the creatures' weaknesses.
The problem was the conflict with the humans who had never been let into the Bunker. Lowborn survivors, stubborn as weeds, dreamed of overturning the Bunker and building a new world where they could live like human beings. It was an age of groups running wild under every name—rebels, revolutionary armies, and the rest.
In a wartime mess like this, a killing machine such as Major Louis was in demand. Among the soldiers the government had raised, taught, and manufactured, he ranked among the exceptional.
The more barren the world became, the ones who suffered most were children and women. Among them, the orphan problem was severe. The government gathered children abandoned by their parents and raised them into soldiers. Louis was one of them.
